--> 00:00:14,639 because there we go yes it is a bottle 5 00:00:18,710 --> 00:00:17,460 of lagovolin 16. 6 00:00:21,050 --> 00:00:18,720 um it's a special occasion because I've 7 00:00:23,990 --> 00:00:21,060 got a special Gentleman on the show but 8 00:00:25,970 --> 00:00:24,000 first before we begin uh to whomever 9 00:00:29,029 --> 00:00:25,980 needs to read this let me tell you a 10 00:00:32,569 --> 00:00:29,039 story about the amazing creatures that 11 00:00:35,990 --> 00:00:32,579 once roamed the Earth dinosaurs mammoths 12 00:00:38,150 --> 00:00:36,000 and other Giants of folklore were once 13 00:00:40,190 --> 00:00:38,160 rulers of the planet 14 00:00:43,010 --> 00:00:40,200 these Majestic beasts had everything 15 00:00:47,510 --> 00:00:43,020 going for them but still they couldn't 16 00:00:51,709 --> 00:00:47,520 stand the test of time they perished why 17 00:00:53,450 --> 00:00:51,719 you ask because they couldn't adapt 18 00:00:54,170 --> 00:00:53,460 to the changing circumstances of the 19 00:00:56,029 --> 00:00:54,180 world 20 00:00:58,069 --> 00:00:56,039 they refused to learn 21 00:01:00,529 --> 00:00:58,079 refuse to change 22 00:01:02,029 --> 00:01:00,539 and refused to evolve so if you're 23 00:01:04,130 --> 00:01:02,039 feeling stuck in life 24 00:01:06,410 --> 00:01:04,140 learn from these creatures learn to 25 00:01:09,289 --> 00:01:06,420 adapt to change 26 00:01:11,750 --> 00:01:09,299 to evolve don't be like them don't let 27 00:01:15,109 --> 00:01:11,760 the changing world around you get the 28 00:01:16,609 --> 00:01:15,119 better of you persevere learn grow 29 00:01:20,390 --> 00:01:16,619 remember 30 00:01:22,310 --> 00:01:20,400 those who don't evolve don't survive 31 00:01:25,249 --> 00:01:22,320 don't be like those creatures 32 00:01:28,850 --> 00:01:25,259 don't go extinct at least or so they say 33 00:01:34,249 --> 00:01:31,550 Denver Michaels is an author researcher 34 00:01:38,510 --> 00:03:41,159 cheers too good sir 84 00:03:46,130 --> 00:03:43,560 yeah that was uh that was a nice intro I 85 00:03:48,410 --> 00:03:46,140 mean I've I've not really heard um 86 00:03:50,630 --> 00:03:48,420 that many people give me all all that 87 00:03:52,550 --> 00:03:50,640 much praise or say I'm Innovative or 88 00:03:55,490 --> 00:03:52,560 anything like that but I mean hell man 89 00:03:56,930 --> 00:03:55,500 I'll take it you know I I told the 90 00:03:59,930 --> 00:03:56,940 it's it's you got you got to keep it 91 00:04:02,030 --> 00:03:59,940 spicy it's 92 00:04:03,770 --> 00:04:02,040 so you know if there is criticism there 93 00:04:05,449 --> 00:04:03,780 may be some criticism out there there 94 00:04:07,610 --> 00:04:05,459 there's a lot of Praise 95 00:04:10,429 --> 00:04:07,620 um I like the last time we talked you 96 00:04:13,309 --> 00:04:10,439 were still in Virginia 97 00:04:15,710 --> 00:04:13,319 um yeah that was a long time ago 98 00:04:17,870 --> 00:04:15,720 obviously a lot has happened I was 99 00:04:19,610 --> 00:04:17,880 trying to think um all the years now 100 00:04:22,930 --> 00:04:19,620 that I'm getting older all the years are 101 00:04:27,430 --> 00:04:22,940 starting to run together so I mean like 102 00:04:31,909 --> 00:04:27,440 when was the last and was that like 2018 103 00:04:34,969 --> 00:04:31,919 2019 probably 2018. I think it was I 104 00:04:37,010 --> 00:04:34,979 think it was actually 2019. I'm fairly 105 00:04:38,090 --> 00:04:37,020 certain Laird was the last one I could 106 00:04:40,370 --> 00:04:38,100 be wrong 107 00:04:42,110 --> 00:04:40,380 but yeah I know it's been a while 108 00:04:47,890 --> 00:04:42,120 there's it's been a while it's been a 109 00:04:52,310 --> 00:04:50,210 just trying to remember when the last 110 00:04:54,530 --> 00:04:52,320 time we got together was and uh yeah 111 00:04:57,469 --> 00:04:54,540 it's been quite a few years now 112 00:04:59,510 --> 00:04:57,479 I know the last time we got together we 113 00:05:02,689 --> 00:04:59,520 had been talking about 114 00:05:03,830 --> 00:05:02,699 uh you know at least in at least the 115 00:05:06,170 --> 00:05:03,840 books that have been coming out and I 116 00:05:09,890 --> 00:05:06,180 know that that like at that point in 117 00:05:12,530 --> 00:05:09,900 time there was a lot of work going into 118 00:05:13,969 --> 00:05:12,540 um uh men of renown which believe it or 119 00:05:16,790 --> 00:05:13,979 not is actually available in Walmart in 120 00:05:20,090 --> 00:05:16,800 Canada sold out at this point uh which 121 00:05:21,530 --> 00:05:20,100 is kind of cool that's cool yeah who who 122 00:05:24,830 --> 00:05:21,540 would have thought 123 00:05:26,450 --> 00:05:24,840 it's a popular subject and you know like 124 00:05:28,450 --> 00:05:26,460 from from all those time whether you 125 00:05:30,590 --> 00:05:28,460 know we're talking back in the early 126 00:05:33,110 --> 00:05:30,600 2015 days when we were reviewing 127 00:05:36,290 --> 00:05:33,120 sandwiches or you know doing crypto 128 00:05:39,290 --> 00:05:36,300 corner and I think the third or fourth 129 00:05:41,870 --> 00:05:39,300 best video on the channel was our video 130 00:05:43,210 --> 00:05:41,880 on the Tasmanian devil and we did a 131 00:05:45,950 --> 00:05:43,220 couple of those yeah 132 00:05:49,490 --> 00:05:45,960 got a little hate mail too but that was 133 00:05:51,050 --> 00:05:49,500 that was kind of fun actually yeah the 134 00:05:52,850 --> 00:05:51,060 hate mail was kind of I don't even 135 00:05:55,010 --> 00:05:52,860 remember what the Hitman was about it's 136 00:05:56,029 --> 00:05:55,020 I can't either I think it was something 137 00:05:56,650 --> 00:05:56,039 like 138 00:05:58,990 --> 00:05:56,660 um 139 00:06:01,850 --> 00:05:59,000 I don't know something like YouTube 140 00:06:04,249 --> 00:06:01,860 jackasses are stupid you know just yeah 141 00:06:06,590 --> 00:06:04,259 just your base you know people on 142 00:06:09,590 --> 00:06:06,600 YouTube I mean all the social media 143 00:06:12,010 --> 00:06:09,600 platforms they've uh they've you know 144 00:06:15,710 --> 00:06:12,020 all got the wrong type of crowds but um 145 00:06:19,550 --> 00:06:15,720 YouTube commenters are probably among 146 00:06:21,770 --> 00:06:19,560 the nastiest of the uh or can be you 147 00:06:24,529 --> 00:06:21,780 know I don't want to no no I couldn't be 148 00:06:27,050 --> 00:06:24,539 but you know the YouTube commenters 149 00:06:29,450 --> 00:06:27,060 they can be a pretty rough crowd I was 150 00:06:31,309 --> 00:06:29,460 on this uh this and that's a lot of 151 00:06:33,409 --> 00:06:31,319 reason I don't even look at the comments 152 00:06:36,409 --> 00:06:33,419 or follow along in the live chat anymore 153 00:06:39,350 --> 00:06:36,419 because I was falling Along on a live 154 00:06:42,350 --> 00:06:39,360 chat on this one podcast I was on and I 155 00:06:45,230 --> 00:06:42,360 mean the people were killing me so I'm 156 00:06:47,629 --> 00:06:45,240 like man I I can't like what were they 157 00:06:49,850 --> 00:06:47,639 what were they saying like I just you 158 00:06:51,950 --> 00:06:49,860 know this you know but yeah this this 159 00:06:54,110 --> 00:06:51,960 guy's a stupid idiot what you you know 160 00:06:55,850 --> 00:06:54,120 why'd you have him on for you know just 161 00:06:56,990 --> 00:06:55,860 uh stupid don't you have like three 162 00:07:01,670 --> 00:06:57,000 degrees 163 00:07:03,890 --> 00:07:01,680 thought you were 164 00:07:05,330 --> 00:07:03,900 well it's you always presented stuff in 165 00:07:08,090 --> 00:07:05,340 such a logical way and you can write 166 00:07:10,430 --> 00:07:08,100 better than I can 167 00:07:12,409 --> 00:07:10,440 well you know you know how people are it 168 00:07:14,809 --> 00:07:12,419 was it was the podcast I think that 169 00:07:17,510 --> 00:07:14,819 wasn't you know it wasn't necessarily 170 00:07:19,309 --> 00:07:17,520 one that's um you know geared toward the 171 00:07:21,890 --> 00:07:19,319 Unexplained it was it was some young 172 00:07:23,629 --> 00:07:21,900 guys I think they were like really kind 173 00:07:26,210 --> 00:07:23,639 of Gamers I don't know maybe they have 174 00:07:28,010 --> 00:07:26,220 me on for a joke or something who knows 175 00:07:30,529 --> 00:07:28,020 but usually if somebody asks me you know 176 00:07:32,990 --> 00:07:30,539 I'll do their podcast and um 177 00:07:35,809 --> 00:07:33,000 anyway long story short I'm just talking 178 00:07:38,390 --> 00:07:35,819 about how uh well kids suck people in 179 211 00:08:56,030 --> 00:08:55,019 cargo pants with pockets on the side or 212 00:08:57,530 --> 00:08:56,040 what have you when you're when you're 213 00:09:01,009 --> 00:08:57,540 out and about 214 00:09:02,690 --> 00:09:01,019 um dark khaki by the way uh 215 00:09:06,470 --> 00:09:02,700 most people don't know so like what 216 00:09:08,570 --> 00:09:06,480 exactly got you into this entire crazy 217 00:09:11,750 --> 00:09:08,580 world of cryptozoology knowing exactly 218 00:09:13,730 --> 00:09:11,760 how well it's an interesting bunch 219 00:09:16,670 --> 00:09:13,740 we'll put it mildly 220 00:09:19,670 --> 00:09:16,680 well I I can't really point to 221 00:09:21,530 --> 00:09:19,680 um any one particular thing I mean um 222 00:09:23,870 --> 00:09:21,540 you know and a lot of people find that 223 00:09:26,990 --> 00:09:23,880 weird you know they find it kind of 224 00:09:30,350 --> 00:09:27,000 strange that uh you know someone that 225 00:09:33,949 --> 00:09:30,360 didn't have a a Bigfoot sighting as a 226 00:09:35,630 --> 00:09:33,959 kid or or a UFO sighting as a kid or you 227 00:09:37,850 --> 00:09:35,640 know didn't grow up in a haunted house 228 00:09:38,389 --> 00:09:37,860 would would be into 229 00:09:41,329 --> 00:09:38,399 um 230 00:09:43,970 --> 00:09:41,339 uh you know all these unexplained things 231 00:09:46,490 --> 00:09:43,980 that I'm into but um for whatever reason 232 00:09:48,769 --> 00:09:46,500 I I can't point to anyone you know 233 00:09:51,170 --> 00:09:48,779 particular thing that that pushed me in 234 00:09:53,090 --> 00:09:51,180 in this direction but um 235 00:09:56,329 --> 00:09:53,100 I don't know I've just always kind of 236 00:09:59,090 --> 00:09:56,339 been been wired toward 237 00:10:02,449 --> 00:09:59,100 um unexplained things uh you know I 238 00:10:05,690 --> 00:10:02,459 think back when I was a kid I mean um 239 00:10:09,590 --> 00:10:05,700 I would uh would go to the library check 240 00:10:10,790 --> 00:10:09,600 out any any books of anything weird I 241 00:10:14,150 --> 00:10:10,800 could find 242 00:10:16,970 --> 00:10:14,160 um you know I was uh pretty Avid Reader 243 00:10:18,650 --> 00:10:16,980 but more like um non-fiction stuff you 244 00:10:21,530 --> 00:10:18,660 know I mean I I would just like sit and 245 00:10:23,870 --> 00:10:21,540 read encyclopedias in the summer when I 246 00:10:25,250 --> 00:10:23,880 was a kid you know and you know I was 247 00:10:29,810 --> 00:10:25,260 just always into 248 00:10:32,810 --> 00:10:29,820 um I I guess I've uh never really bought 249 00:10:35,930 --> 00:10:32,820 anything that uh teachers or authority 250 00:10:37,970 --> 00:10:35,940 figures would tell me I remember I 251 00:10:41,930 --> 00:10:37,980 remember I was like seven years old one 252 00:10:44,269 --> 00:10:41,940 time at uh at the dinner table and 253 00:10:45,769 --> 00:10:44,279 um I don't know what provoked me to do 254 00:10:48,430 --> 00:10:45,779 this you know but I just kind of like 255 00:10:52,009 --> 00:10:48,440 looked at my dad and I'm like you know 256 00:10:55,190 --> 00:10:52,019 Columbus didn't discover America you 257 00:10:56,990 --> 00:10:55,200 know you know it is oh yeah right and 258 00:11:00,590 --> 00:10:57,000 you know of course he didn't want to uh 259 00:11:03,590 --> 00:11:00,600 hear my seven-year-old uh dissertation 260 00:11:05,930 --> 00:11:03,600 on uh pre-columbian contact in the 261 00:11:08,030 --> 00:11:05,940 Americas but you know the long story 262 00:11:10,610 --> 00:11:08,040 short I've just always 263 00:11:12,230 --> 00:11:10,620 um really kind of questioned everything 264 00:11:12,949 --> 00:11:12,240 and 265 00:11:15,410 --> 00:11:12,959 um 266 00:11:17,030 --> 00:11:15,420 you know like here we are it's like I 267 00:11:18,470 --> 00:11:17,040 can imagine seven-year-olds you're like 268 00:11:19,850 --> 00:11:18,480 you know he didn't Discover it you know 269 00:11:22,550 --> 00:11:19,860 by 10 it's like you're throwing out this 270 00:11:25,190 --> 00:11:22,560 you know Solutions 271 00:11:26,829 --> 00:11:25,200 yeah they used and they followed the 272 00:11:29,810 --> 00:11:26,839 coast damn it 273 00:11:31,670 --> 00:11:29,820 it's like it's like really Dad it's I 274 00:11:33,710 --> 00:11:31,680 mean it's it's it's it's not that you 275 00:11:35,870 --> 00:11:33,720 know okay it's not that hard I mean if 276 00:11:39,050 --> 00:11:35,880 you're gonna tell me that um 277 00:11:41,810 --> 00:11:39,060 you know Polynesians uh traveled 2 000 278 00:11:44,449 --> 00:11:41,820 miles in canoes to settle Hawaii 279 00:11:47,030 --> 00:11:44,459 why couldn't anybody have been in 280 00:11:51,170 --> 00:11:47,040 Virginia or Texas or Florida you know 281 00:11:53,569 --> 00:11:51,180 and uh 1200 A.D right I mean why why 282 00:11:55,730 --> 00:11:53,579 couldn't they it it's stupid to think 283 00:11:57,769 --> 00:11:55,740 that it it couldn't have happened it's 284 00:11:59,750 --> 00:11:57,779 like we don't 285 00:12:01,610 --> 00:11:59,760 I'm gonna say like we got a pretty good 286 00:12:02,750 --> 00:12:01,620 idea as far as 287 00:12:04,130 --> 00:12:02,760 um 288 00:12:06,949 --> 00:12:04,140 like we got a pretty good idea as far as 289 00:12:08,569 --> 00:12:06,959 means mainstream Academia will go and 290 00:12:11,090 --> 00:12:08,579 you know with when it comes to 291 00:12:13,910 --> 00:12:11,100 Alternative history there's going to be 292 00:12:16,250 --> 00:12:13,920 diverging fields and sometimes it's 293 00:12:18,110 --> 00:12:16,260 plausible sometimes it's way out of left 294 00:12:19,790 --> 00:12:18,120 field it it's like you got to follow the 295 00:12:21,650 --> 00:12:19,800 evidence I've always found 296 00:12:23,030 --> 00:12:21,660 um and even if that evidence it seems a 297 00:12:25,610 --> 00:12:23,040 little bit crazy or you got a hunch it's 298 00:12:27,530 --> 00:12:25,620 like is it logical is it possible can we 299 00:12:29,210 --> 00:12:27,540 is it provable is there at least 300 00:12:31,130 --> 00:12:29,220 something that can link it to it like 301 00:12:32,810 --> 00:12:31,140 what you know what's the chain that gets 302 00:12:36,050 --> 00:12:32,820 you back there if you're just going to 303 00:12:38,150 --> 00:12:36,060 say no completely and not at least 304 00:12:39,590 --> 00:12:38,160 entertain the possibility you know even 305 00:12:41,509 --> 00:12:39,600 if your whole thing is to try and prove 306 00:12:43,550 --> 00:12:41,519 it wrong if you're proving it wrong 307 00:12:44,769 --> 00:12:43,560 based on 308 00:12:48,050 --> 00:12:44,779 you know 309 00:12:50,750 --> 00:12:48,060 established tenants uh 310 00:12:53,030 --> 00:12:50,760 you know like sometimes primary research 311 00:12:54,829 --> 00:12:53,040 is going to be is going to Trump that as 312 00:12:56,810 --> 00:12:54,839 far as comparing the two 313 00:12:59,329 --> 00:12:56,820 um I know with 314 00:13:01,069 --> 00:12:59,339 like with your investigations especially 315 00:13:03,110 --> 00:13:01,079 when you're dealing with historic 316 00:13:05,750 --> 00:13:03,120 creatures I 317 00:13:08,509 --> 00:13:05,760 did you have any goal in mind when you 318 00:13:10,610 --> 00:13:08,519 first started out or is more just a like 319 00:13:11,750 --> 00:13:10,620 hey I'm gonna do this and you know like 320 00:13:13,069 --> 00:13:11,760 oh somebody said well why don't you 321 00:13:14,810 --> 00:13:13,079 write a book about it or if somebody on 322 00:13:16,610 --> 00:13:14,820 a dare said I want you to put some words 323 00:13:18,050 --> 00:13:16,620 down and just kind of snowballed from 324 00:13:19,670 --> 00:13:18,060 there 325 00:13:21,230 --> 00:13:19,680 well really 326 00:13:30,829 --> 00:13:21,240 um 327 00:13:33,470 --> 00:13:30,839 like around my 40th from now to the 328 00:13:35,290 --> 00:13:33,480 realm of 40th birthday man I guess that 329 00:13:40,069 --> 00:13:35,300 kind of had luck 330 00:13:42,230 --> 00:13:40,079 uh like a midlife price I didn't uh I 331 00:13:43,970 --> 00:13:42,240 didn't go buying us buy a sports car 332 00:13:46,610 --> 00:13:43,980 start running around with younger women 333 00:13:49,370 --> 00:13:46,620 or nothing like that but I got really 334 00:13:53,030 --> 00:13:49,380 I really got kind of depressed because I 335 00:13:54,889 --> 00:13:53,040 was um you know it and oh I'm sure 336 00:13:56,690 --> 00:13:54,899 pretty much all of your listeners can 337 00:13:58,250 --> 00:13:56,700 relate to it you know you're just uh 338 00:14:00,290 --> 00:13:58,260 you're in the grind you're you know 339 00:14:02,269 --> 00:14:00,300 you're just working working you know I'm 340 00:14:03,110 --> 00:14:02,279 working a job I'm you know making good 341 00:14:05,990 --> 00:14:03,120 money 342 00:14:08,210 --> 00:14:06,000 but it's just it's just not fulfilling 343 00:14:10,670 --> 00:14:08,220 it just it just don't enjoy anything I 344 00:14:12,889 --> 00:14:10,680 do you know you just you know watching 345 00:14:14,389 --> 00:14:12,899 the clock you know for the weekend the 346 00:14:16,670 --> 00:14:14,399 weekend comes 347 00:14:18,769 --> 00:14:16,680 you're right by it by about two o'clock 348 00:14:21,670 --> 00:14:18,779 on Sunday I'm getting depressed because 349 00:14:24,650 --> 00:14:21,680 I gotta go start it all over again 350 00:14:27,290 --> 00:14:24,660 just really you know just really got in 351 00:14:31,069 --> 00:14:27,300 a bad place and I mean I was there for I 352 00:14:32,990 --> 00:14:31,079 mean like a year and a half man and 353 00:14:36,710 --> 00:14:33,000 I don't know I don't know something just 354 00:14:37,550 --> 00:14:36,720 kind of just kind of clicked in me that 355 00:14:40,189 --> 00:14:37,560 um 356 00:14:42,470 --> 00:14:40,199 you know like I wanted to start writing 357 00:14:43,550 --> 00:14:42,480 you know that's just really I I just 358 00:14:44,750 --> 00:14:43,560 feel like 359 00:14:46,850 --> 00:14:44,760 um 360 00:14:49,850 --> 00:14:46,860 that's what I'm happy doing that that's 361 00:14:52,189 --> 00:14:49,860 what I enjoy doing I I just you know you 362 00:14:53,930 --> 00:14:52,199 know even even when I'm just writing um 363 00:14:56,150 --> 00:14:53,940 you know writing blog posts for my 364 00:14:58,310 --> 00:14:56,160 website right I mean I just enjoy doing 365 00:15:00,170 --> 00:14:58,320 it whether a whole lot of people read it 366 00:15:02,449 --> 00:15:00,180 or not it really doesn't even matter I 367 00:15:05,629 --> 00:15:02,459 just I just kind of have fun find doing 368 00:15:07,430 --> 00:15:05,639 that and so I that's sort of what led me 369 00:15:09,889 --> 00:15:07,440 to start um 370 00:15:11,750 --> 00:15:09,899 you know pursuing the writing part and 371 00:15:13,550 --> 00:15:11,760 as far as um 372 00:15:15,170 --> 00:15:13,560 you know what I wanted to write about I 373 00:15:18,170 --> 00:15:15,180 mean there was no question in my mind 374 00:15:20,569 --> 00:15:18,180 that I wanted to um you know write about 375 00:15:24,829 --> 00:15:20,579 some of these unexplained things that I 376 00:15:27,949 --> 00:15:24,839 had um really kind of studied uh you 377 00:15:29,930 --> 00:15:27,959 know my whole life really and you know 378 00:15:30,889 --> 00:15:29,940 my first book was about lake monsters 379 00:15:33,530 --> 00:15:30,899 because 380 00:15:36,290 --> 00:15:33,540 um I don't know just it's just to me out 381 00:15:38,870 --> 00:15:36,300 of all of the uh Cryptid creatures out 382 00:15:41,750 --> 00:15:38,880 there right that's the one that they 383 00:15:43,790 --> 00:15:41,760 that could really you could really see 384 00:15:44,689 --> 00:15:43,800 it existing without 385 00:15:46,329 --> 00:15:44,699 um 386 00:15:49,310 --> 00:15:46,339 you know having to throw any 387 00:15:51,050 --> 00:15:49,320 Supernatural interpretations or whatever 388 00:15:52,670 --> 00:15:51,060 you know like a lot of your Bigfoot 389 00:15:55,189 --> 00:15:52,680 reports you know people talk about it 390 00:15:57,889 --> 00:15:55,199 disappearing or glowing red eyes this or 391 00:16:00,710 --> 00:15:57,899 that but you know these lake monsters 392 00:16:03,710 --> 00:16:00,720 and and sea serpents with with all of 393 00:16:04,610 --> 00:16:03,720 the water we have and and and just all 394 00:16:06,949 --> 00:16:04,620 of the 395 00:16:10,670 --> 00:16:06,959 you know we don't really know about uh 396 00:16:13,550 --> 00:16:10,680 once into lurking in the depths and um 397 00:16:15,650 --> 00:16:13,560 there's just such a similarity all over 398 00:16:17,870 --> 00:16:15,660 the world in these reports that just 399 00:16:20,389 --> 00:16:17,880 seems like out of all of these 400 00:16:24,050 --> 00:16:20,399 unexplained creatures out there it could 401 00:16:26,870 --> 00:16:24,060 be the most likely to exist and so um 402 00:16:30,290 --> 00:16:26,880 you know I just started writing about it 403 00:16:33,350 --> 00:16:30,300 and um you know from there I 404 00:16:35,410 --> 00:16:33,360 you know picked up other topics and blah 405 00:16:39,590 --> 00:16:35,420 blah blah 406 00:16:41,210 --> 00:16:39,600 William who's in the chat because he's a 407 00:16:43,910 --> 00:16:41,220 gentleman and a scholar like like 408 00:16:45,170 --> 00:16:43,920 ourselves uh he and he says I know 409 00:16:48,470 --> 00:16:45,180 what's really in the program 410 00:16:50,090 --> 00:16:48,480 but he's got to ask what are your 411 00:16:52,310 --> 00:16:50,100 thoughts about the efforts to bring back 412 00:16:56,749 --> 00:16:52,320 extinct species like you know the dodo 413 00:17:03,050 --> 00:17:00,110 um I I'm not a fan of it 414 00:17:06,350 --> 00:17:03,060 um you know I think once it uh and even 415 00:17:07,429 --> 00:17:06,360 if it's uh even if it's humans fault 416 00:17:10,069 --> 00:17:07,439 right 417 00:17:12,949 --> 00:17:10,079 um just not a big fan I mean like like 418 00:17:13,850 --> 00:17:12,959 what could possibly go wrong right if we 419 00:17:16,189 --> 00:17:13,860 uh 420 00:17:18,590 --> 00:17:16,199 if we're bringing stuff back that's been 421 00:17:20,809 --> 00:17:18,600 extinct for hundreds or thousands of 422 00:17:23,270 --> 00:17:20,819 years I mean it just dodo's Delicious 423 00:17:26,030 --> 00:17:23,280 from what I understand yeah I just you 424 00:17:28,429 --> 00:17:26,040 know you you just I'm just not a big fan 425 00:17:30,470 --> 00:17:28,439 of this stuff because you you know 426 00:17:33,470 --> 00:17:30,480 there's there's always that law of 427 00:17:35,930 --> 00:17:33,480 unintended consequences and you just you 428 00:17:38,570 --> 00:17:35,940 know you just you just never know I mean 429 00:17:41,210 --> 00:17:38,580 you know just when they um 430 00:17:43,730 --> 00:17:41,220 you know animals that are on the brink 431 00:17:46,310 --> 00:17:43,740 of Extinction and then they um 432 00:17:48,830 --> 00:17:46,320 you know they they reintroduce them in 433 00:17:51,710 --> 00:17:48,840 places I mean you know whether that's 434 00:17:53,570 --> 00:17:51,720 good bad or indifferent it brings a 435 00:17:55,430 --> 00:17:53,580 whole host of um 436 00:17:58,510 --> 00:17:55,440 you know can bring a whole host of 437 00:18:01,549 --> 00:17:58,520 issues and things like you know how they 438 00:18:04,130 --> 00:18:01,559 re-introduce wolves and and like out in 439 00:18:06,110 --> 00:18:04,140 uh Montana and stuff I mean the ranchers 440 00:18:08,750 --> 00:18:06,120 out there hate them and 441 00:18:11,350 --> 00:18:08,760 you know even even the Bison I mean that 442 00:18:13,610 --> 00:18:11,360 can affect your uh that they've 443 00:18:15,830 --> 00:18:13,620 reintroduced in places that can affect 444 00:18:17,870 --> 00:18:15,840 cattle herds and things like that so 445 00:18:20,690 --> 00:18:17,880 there's just all these things and I I 446 00:18:23,029 --> 00:18:20,700 just don't know that it's um it's really 447 00:18:25,130 --> 00:18:23,039 our place to um 448 00:18:27,710 --> 00:18:25,140 you know bring back herds of woolly 449 00:18:29,150 --> 00:18:27,720 mammoths or this or that it's like did 450 00:18:31,370 --> 00:18:29,160 anybody watch 451 00:18:33,590 --> 00:18:31,380 like how many Jurassic Park movies are 452 00:18:36,529 --> 00:18:33,600 there now 453 00:18:38,750 --> 00:18:36,539 it's like did you did nobody [\h__\h] 454 00:18:41,570 --> 00:18:38,760 watch Jurassic Park because there's 455 00:18:43,490 --> 00:18:41,580 nobody watched the island of Dr Moreau I 456 00:18:48,590 --> 00:18:43,500 mean like all you nobody watches the 457 00:18:52,669 --> 00:18:50,990 yeah I mean I 458 00:18:54,650 --> 00:18:52,679 I saying it's a bad thing just 459 00:18:57,409 --> 00:18:54,660 personally me 460 00:18:59,890 --> 00:18:57,419 I would like to see that money maybe 461 00:19:02,870 --> 00:18:59,900 like diverted to like I don't know 462 00:19:05,750 --> 00:19:02,880 cancer research or something call me 463 00:19:07,909 --> 00:19:05,760 crazy oh 464 00:19:10,370 --> 00:19:07,919 well here you go you know it makes a lot 465 00:19:12,169 --> 00:19:10,380 of sense uh you get a lot I'm not even 466 00:19:15,710 --> 00:19:12,179 sure if some of these are like 467 00:19:17,810 --> 00:19:15,720 educational or if they're being 468 00:19:19,789 --> 00:19:17,820 um you know privately funded if yeah 469 00:19:20,930 --> 00:19:19,799 it's it's kind of like you know if 470 00:19:23,630 --> 00:19:20,940 somebody wants to do something crazy 471 00:19:26,570 --> 00:19:23,640 with their money can you really yeah 472 00:19:29,529 --> 00:19:26,580 tell them to stop it's at the same time 473 00:19:32,270 --> 00:19:29,539 like you know mandates are kind of cool 474 00:19:34,490 --> 00:19:32,280 uh I'm not even sure what a you know 475 00:19:38,210 --> 00:19:34,500 great awk is I'm sure it's like a it's 476 00:19:39,470 --> 00:19:38,220 great and maybe it makes an ox sound I I 477 00:19:42,049 --> 00:19:39,480 don't have a Jamie so I can't bring 478 00:19:45,070 --> 00:19:42,059 stuff up unfortunately but 479 00:19:47,210 --> 00:19:45,080 yeah like was there like a creature 480 00:19:49,789 --> 00:19:47,220 specifically I know you were looking at 481 00:19:52,310 --> 00:19:49,799 lake monsters like was there like a was 482 00:19:54,350 --> 00:19:52,320 it Nessie was it Ogopogo like well what 483 00:19:57,409 --> 00:19:54,360 really got your your attention 484 00:19:59,630 --> 00:19:57,419 well I think it was the fact that uh 485 00:20:00,710 --> 00:19:59,640 that there are it's not one in 486 00:20:03,590 --> 00:20:00,720 particular 487 00:20:06,049 --> 00:20:03,600 um like I can really point to um 488 00:20:07,669 --> 00:20:06,059 you know uh like like when I was a kid 489 00:20:09,890 --> 00:20:07,679 in high school you know I used to watch 490 00:20:12,230 --> 00:20:09,900 Unsolved Mysteries every Wednesday night 491 00:20:13,930 --> 00:20:12,240 that that was my deal you know I guess I 492 00:20:17,750 --> 00:20:13,940 was a junior in high school 493 00:20:19,669 --> 00:20:17,760 and uh one of the uh one of the you know 494 00:20:22,850 --> 00:20:19,679 they had those like three-part segments 495 00:20:24,710 --> 00:20:22,860 and one of them was on Yogo Pogo and 496 00:20:27,169 --> 00:20:24,720 something that really jumped out at me 497 00:20:30,169 --> 00:20:27,179 you know they did a graphic 498 00:20:32,450 --> 00:20:30,179 and it showed how like put these little 499 00:20:35,350 --> 00:20:32,460 red dots on the map all over the world 500 00:20:38,870 --> 00:20:35,360 and how they were like um you know 60 501 00:20:41,150 --> 00:20:38,880 different uh locations where these uh 502 00:20:42,890 --> 00:20:41,160 you know lake monsters were uh you know 503 00:20:45,350 --> 00:20:42,900 were being spotted 504 00:20:47,810 --> 00:20:45,360 and I think that really for whatever 505 00:20:50,210 --> 00:20:47,820 reason that really stuck with me and and 506 00:20:52,190 --> 00:20:50,220 you know as I got older and 507 00:20:54,710 --> 00:20:52,200 you know read more about it kind of 508 00:20:56,870 --> 00:20:54,720 learn more about it yeah you could see 509 00:21:00,350 --> 00:20:56,880 that it's uh you know it's it's it's 510 00:21:03,529 --> 00:21:00,360 pretty much a worldwide uh phenomenon 511 00:21:07,490 --> 00:21:03,539 and there's so much similarity between 512 00:21:10,010 --> 00:21:07,500 say the Loch Ness monster and uh Tahoe 513 00:21:11,450 --> 00:21:10,020 Tessie out in out in California you know 514 00:21:14,690 --> 00:21:11,460 like champ 515 00:21:18,110 --> 00:21:14,700 uh up in um you know Vermont New York 516 00:21:20,810 --> 00:21:18,120 it's it's pretty much the same and um 517 00:21:23,390 --> 00:21:20,820 so it really kind of um 518 00:21:26,750 --> 00:21:23,400 made me think that there's you know 519 00:21:29,210 --> 00:21:26,760 possibly uh you know a population of 520 00:21:31,010 --> 00:21:29,220 these things is do you think it's also 521 00:21:33,230 --> 00:21:31,020 possible like 522 00:21:37,210 --> 00:21:33,240 got to be a little subjective although 523 00:21:41,330 --> 00:21:37,220 I'm a lot calmer in my olds 524 00:21:43,250 --> 00:21:41,340 sleep deprived age 525 00:21:44,570 --> 00:21:43,260 um you know yes I think he warned me 526 00:21:48,950 --> 00:21:44,580 about this like it's like Chris wait 527 00:21:55,010 --> 00:21:52,010 um it don't get no easier either 528 00:21:56,630 --> 00:21:55,020 no but it's it's part of FYI oh it's 529 00:22:00,110 --> 00:21:56,640 it's not about it it's the journey not 530 00:22:05,450 --> 00:22:02,390 it's a Brandon Sanders yeah it's it's a 531 00:22:07,130 --> 00:22:05,460 yeah Stormlight Archive it's a fantasy 532 00:22:09,049 --> 00:22:07,140 High fantasy series go go read it people 533 00:22:10,190 --> 00:22:09,059 it's it's fantastic 534 00:22:12,590 --> 00:22:10,200 um 535 00:22:15,529 --> 00:22:12,600 what about sturgeon like they're ancient 536 00:22:19,430 --> 00:22:15,539 they're like basically the final you 537 00:22:22,070 --> 00:22:19,440 know the the final form of this Giants 538 00:22:23,810 --> 00:22:22,080 uh fish 539 00:22:26,630 --> 00:22:23,820 boss 540 00:22:29,029 --> 00:22:26,640 or anime character it's like you know it 541 00:22:30,950 --> 00:22:29,039 takes just like Frieza in Dragon Ball Z 542 00:22:32,330 --> 00:22:30,960 it took how many millions of years for 543 00:22:36,890 --> 00:22:32,340 this thing to evolve into its final form 544 00:22:38,630 --> 00:22:36,900 and these things can grow massive so is 545 00:22:41,270 --> 00:22:38,640 that possibility that people are seeing 546 00:22:44,270 --> 00:22:41,280 that like or like do we Act is is it 547 00:22:46,310 --> 00:22:44,280 more likely that there are sturgeon that 548 00:22:48,770 --> 00:22:46,320 have been alive for let's say like 150 549 00:22:50,210 --> 00:22:48,780 200 years have never been caught and 550 00:22:53,630 --> 00:22:50,220 they're just so big that they could snap 551 00:22:58,190 --> 00:22:53,640 a line and they're just these honking 552 00:23:01,970 --> 00:22:58,200 like 10 15 feet massive things and or is 553 00:23:04,310 --> 00:23:01,980 it more of a like a dinosaur or you know 554 00:23:06,529 --> 00:23:04,320 water creature that's just 555 00:23:09,490 --> 00:23:06,539 left over and found some suitable deep 556 00:23:13,930 --> 00:23:09,500 water that is left alone 557 00:23:16,370 --> 00:23:13,940 I mean I think it's the latter but yeah 558 00:23:19,130 --> 00:23:16,380 are some of these things are some of 559 00:23:22,010 --> 00:23:19,140 these sightings sturgeons yeah sure 560 00:23:24,169 --> 00:23:22,020 right I mean absolutely 561 00:23:27,289 --> 00:23:24,179 um and then you know down in the in the 562 00:23:29,690 --> 00:23:27,299 southern us yeah some of these sightings 563 00:23:31,669 --> 00:23:29,700 are probably alligator gar you know I 564 00:23:33,409 --> 00:23:31,679 mean those things get you know 10 12 565 00:23:35,510 --> 00:23:33,419 feet long and you know the sturgeons 566 00:23:36,789 --> 00:23:35,520 you're talking about my uh my daughter 567 00:23:42,230 --> 00:23:36,799 her um 568 00:23:44,930 --> 00:23:42,240 ex-boyfriend saw him uh last year and uh 569 00:23:47,510 --> 00:23:44,940 he showed me this picture this sturgeon 570 00:23:49,549 --> 00:23:47,520 he caught out in um out in Idaho I mean 571 00:23:52,310 --> 00:23:49,559 the thing was like 572 00:23:54,770 --> 00:23:52,320 it was over 10 feet long I mean like 573 00:23:57,169 --> 00:23:54,780 like three of them were holding it up I 574 00:24:00,289 --> 00:23:57,179 mean it's just just enormous massive so 575 00:24:03,890 --> 00:24:00,299 yeah you you that is absolutely a part 576 00:24:07,789 --> 00:24:03,900 of it but you know to to blame the whole 577 00:24:09,770 --> 00:24:07,799 phenomenon on that I I it just it just 578 00:24:11,450 --> 00:24:09,780 doesn't uh work for me that's kind of 579 00:24:15,350 --> 00:24:11,460 like how um 580 00:24:17,149 --> 00:24:15,360 they just put this uh study out 581 00:24:19,909 --> 00:24:17,159 um I just started reading about it like 582 00:24:22,610 --> 00:24:19,919 oh probably last week how they're saying 583 00:24:24,950 --> 00:24:22,620 you know areas with black bears 584 00:24:26,590 --> 00:24:24,960 experience you know more Bigfoot 585 00:24:29,330 --> 00:24:26,600 sightings and you know 586 00:24:32,870 --> 00:24:29,340 the whole conclusion is you know that 587 00:24:35,149 --> 00:24:32,880 all your Bigfoot sightings are are bears 588 00:24:37,130 --> 00:24:35,159 well I mean I could have told you that 589 00:24:40,130 --> 00:24:37,140 there's more Bigfoot sightings where 590 00:24:43,010 --> 00:24:40,140 bears live because guess what 591 00:24:45,230 --> 00:24:43,020 see there's cover there's if a bear can 592 00:24:48,049 --> 00:24:45,240 live there then guess what then then you 593 00:24:50,690 --> 00:24:48,059 know uh uh you know seven foot tall 594 00:24:53,990 --> 00:24:50,700 bipedal eight could live there too 595 00:24:55,669 --> 00:24:54,000 but yeah I mean bears are absolutely 596 00:24:58,250 --> 00:24:55,679 misidentified 597 00:24:59,330 --> 00:24:58,260 I mean no question and and you know what 598 00:25:02,810 --> 00:24:59,340 that's 599 00:25:05,450 --> 00:25:02,820 a lot of your uh your Sasquatch tracks 600 00:25:08,149 --> 00:25:05,460 um that's a double step where uh where a 601 00:25:11,510 --> 00:25:08,159 bear likes kind of like it's back Paul 602 00:25:13,909 --> 00:25:11,520 steps in and you know kind of looks like 603 00:25:16,310 --> 00:25:13,919 a uh supposed Bigfoot track I mean it 604 00:25:19,850 --> 00:25:16,320 happened that's absolutely a part of it 605 00:25:22,370 --> 00:25:19,860 but it's not a good explanation for the 606 00:25:23,630 --> 00:25:22,380 phenomenon as a whole and that's what 607 00:25:26,930 --> 00:25:23,640 I'm talking about here with the lake 608 00:25:28,430 --> 00:25:26,940 monsters yes and and and like with your 609 00:25:31,789 --> 00:25:28,440 sturgeons 610 00:25:34,130 --> 00:25:31,799 there's a a lot of reports of you know 611 00:25:36,950 --> 00:25:34,140 these lake monsters where sturgeons 612 00:25:38,990 --> 00:25:36,960 don't even live in the waters so if it 613 00:25:41,990 --> 00:25:39,000 is a sturgeon in some of those cases 614 00:25:43,970 --> 00:25:42,000 well then that's so yeah that's a pretty 615 00:25:45,890 --> 00:25:43,980 cool thing too that there's a sturge in 616 00:25:47,870 --> 00:25:45,900 here where there's not supposed to be 617 00:25:49,970 --> 00:25:47,880 but you know sturgeons they don't have a 618 00:25:52,310 --> 00:25:49,980 have a neck that sticks out of the water 619 00:25:55,909 --> 00:25:52,320 four feet in the air like some of these 620 00:25:59,750 --> 00:25:55,919 reports so yeah I think it explains a 621 00:26:02,930 --> 00:25:59,760 lot but it doesn't You Know cover the 622 00:26:05,630 --> 00:26:02,940 whole thing you know I I had a in a 623 00:26:09,049 --> 00:26:05,640 former life I had a former life a couple 624 00:26:11,330 --> 00:26:09,059 of jobs ago uh very very great company 625 00:26:15,590 --> 00:26:11,340 um good people I still talk to a lot of 626 00:26:18,610 --> 00:26:15,600 them there one of my co-workers uh was 627 00:26:21,769 --> 00:26:18,620 excellent she used to take walks around 628 00:26:23,330 --> 00:26:21,779 the park area which was fairly you know 629 00:26:25,490 --> 00:26:23,340 fairly wooded and I think that was near 630 00:26:26,930 --> 00:26:25,500 one of either the lakes or the rivers 631 00:26:28,190 --> 00:26:26,940 within you know the Northern parts of 632 00:26:29,390 --> 00:26:28,200 the city or you know it's like at the 633 00:26:31,549 --> 00:26:29,400 main river going through it and several 634 00:26:34,850 --> 00:26:31,559 rivers that break off and whether 635 00:26:37,549 --> 00:26:34,860 they're part of the same Source anyway I 636 00:26:39,890 --> 00:26:37,559 kind of digress on this uh you know she 637 00:26:42,049 --> 00:26:39,900 was very very disturbed because she was 638 00:26:46,070 --> 00:26:42,059 attacked like something huge 639 00:26:47,570 --> 00:26:46,080 came out of the the forest cover and 640 00:26:50,330 --> 00:26:47,580 she's like I don't know what it was it 641 00:26:53,210 --> 00:26:50,340 was this alien-like creature and you 642 00:26:54,890 --> 00:26:53,220 know it just it just got real big and 643 00:26:57,289 --> 00:26:54,900 then it ran at me 644 00:26:59,149 --> 00:26:57,299 and you know she just took off like her 645 00:27:00,950 --> 00:26:59,159 you know took off like a rocket ran back 646 00:27:02,210 --> 00:27:00,960 home and it was saying like I was 647 00:27:04,850 --> 00:27:02,220 attacked by a monster an alien or 648 00:27:07,190 --> 00:27:04,860 something and it's like yeah okay we'll 649 00:27:10,610 --> 00:27:07,200 just describe it and you know she went 650 00:27:12,350 --> 00:27:10,620 through it and it ended up at least it's 651 00:27:15,230 --> 00:27:12,360 a possibility that it still was an alien 652 00:27:19,450 --> 00:27:15,240 or some type of chupacabra-like creature 653 00:27:22,490 --> 00:27:19,460 but in our area wild turkeys are 654 00:27:24,950 --> 00:27:22,500 extremely common to the point where in 655 00:27:27,649 --> 00:27:24,960 downtown they're a pest 656 00:27:29,870 --> 00:27:27,659 the pigeons are scared of them uh and as 657 00:27:33,289 --> 00:27:29,880 we as anybody knows who lives anywhere 658 00:27:36,070 --> 00:27:33,299 near some type of Turkey 659 00:27:39,529 --> 00:27:36,080 Refuge they're extremely territorial 660 00:27:41,990 --> 00:27:39,539 like they can be [\h__\h] yes and 661 00:27:43,810 --> 00:27:42,000 aggressive yeah they will get larger and 662 00:27:47,390 --> 00:27:43,820 they will charge at you and they're fast 663 00:27:50,269 --> 00:27:47,400 so yeah that's a possibility it's like 664 00:27:52,370 --> 00:27:50,279 misidentification could happen just you 665 00:27:54,350 --> 00:27:52,380 got fear you've got adrenaline you have 666 00:27:56,390 --> 00:27:54,360 again I'm playing devil's advocate here 667 00:27:59,450 --> 00:27:56,400 but at the same time yeah there's always 668 00:28:01,789 --> 00:27:59,460 that that case and I and I'm with you a 669 00:28:03,950 --> 00:28:01,799 thousand percent on that stuff but you 670 00:28:07,850 --> 00:28:03,960 know here here's kind of how I look at 671 00:28:09,710 --> 00:28:07,860 it like I I call it you know and this 672 00:28:12,230 --> 00:28:09,720 isn't anything Innovative other people 673 00:28:15,649 --> 00:28:12,240 have said the same thing I call it the 674 00:28:20,870 --> 00:28:15,659 five percent or maybe 10 rule 675 00:28:23,110 --> 00:28:20,880 yeah probably 90 to 95 of this stuff is 676 00:28:26,090 --> 00:28:23,120 a logical explanation right 677 00:28:29,450 --> 00:28:26,100 misidentification this or that it's the 678 00:28:32,090 --> 00:28:29,460 five percent it's the ten percent so 679 00:28:33,289 --> 00:28:32,100 when you have a guy 680 00:28:35,870 --> 00:28:33,299 um 681 00:28:38,630 --> 00:28:35,880 you know that's a that's an avid Hunter 682 00:28:40,610 --> 00:28:38,640 I mean I know guys 683 00:28:43,490 --> 00:28:40,620 I mean hell I used to be like I don't 684 00:28:45,890 --> 00:28:43,500 hunt anymore but you know back in my uh 685 00:28:47,810 --> 00:28:45,900 early 20s you know huge Hunter you know 686 00:28:49,490 --> 00:28:47,820 especially bow hunter I used to hunt all 687 00:28:51,830 --> 00:28:49,500 the time but I mean I know guys that are 688 00:28:53,510 --> 00:28:51,840 so into hunting they've like ruined 689 00:28:55,549 --> 00:28:53,520 their marriages I'm not kidding because 690 00:28:57,529 --> 00:28:55,559 that's like oh they're just never home 691 00:29:00,470 --> 00:28:57,539 all they want to do is like hunt deer 692 00:29:02,930 --> 00:29:00,480 and and stuff like that so when when 693 00:29:06,590 --> 00:29:02,940 people that like 694 00:29:08,990 --> 00:29:06,600 you you know ruin their marriages and 695 00:29:10,549 --> 00:29:09,000 and like like you know I know people 696 00:29:12,649 --> 00:29:10,559 that have like lost their job because 697 00:29:14,870 --> 00:29:12,659 like nope I'm I'm going deer hunting I'm 698 00:29:16,610 --> 00:29:14,880 not I'm not going into work on Monday 699 00:29:18,409 --> 00:29:16,620 you know I mean I know people like that 700 00:29:20,810 --> 00:29:18,419 and and you know when when guys like 701 00:29:22,970 --> 00:29:20,820 that are out in the woods and then spot 702 00:29:25,909 --> 00:29:22,980 one of these these creatures and they 703 00:29:28,430 --> 00:29:25,919 won't go hunting anymore because of it 704 00:29:30,590 --> 00:29:28,440 okay they didn't see a black bear you 705 00:29:33,470 --> 00:29:30,600 know what I'm saying they know what a 706 00:29:35,750 --> 00:29:33,480 bear looks like yeah so it's when you 707 00:29:38,450 --> 00:29:35,760 get those kind of reports or you know 708 00:29:40,370 --> 00:29:38,460 just like real detailed reports where 709 00:29:44,149 --> 00:29:40,380 you know that it you know it couldn't 710 00:29:45,950 --> 00:29:44,159 have been a bear or or you know whatever 711 00:29:47,870 --> 00:29:45,960 the uh the mystery we're talking about 712 00:29:51,529 --> 00:29:47,880 do these kind of reports make it more 713 00:29:53,570 --> 00:29:51,539 fun because even if the source is coming 714 00:29:55,669 --> 00:29:53,580 from you know as you said it's it's a 715 00:29:58,669 --> 00:29:55,679 guy who he'll skip work and you know 716 00:30:00,169 --> 00:29:58,679 he'll let his marriage fall apart for uh 717 00:30:01,549 --> 00:30:00,179 you know going hunting and he's always 718 00:30:07,010 --> 00:30:01,559 out in the woods and you know with his 719 00:30:11,750 --> 00:30:09,830 you know it's like is here is it hearing 720 00:30:14,029 --> 00:30:11,760 the stories is it like trying to be able 721 00:30:16,430 --> 00:30:14,039 to ascertain 722 00:30:18,350 --> 00:30:16,440 from the character and the story being 723 00:30:20,750 --> 00:30:18,360 told in the situation whether he's 724 00:30:22,970 --> 00:30:20,760 telling the truth or full of it or not 725 00:30:25,090 --> 00:30:22,980 like how you know when you're doing the 726 00:30:27,110 --> 00:30:25,100 investigation 727 00:30:29,690 --> 00:30:27,120 what's your favorite part of at least 728 00:30:32,870 --> 00:30:29,700 learning about the story 729 00:30:35,690 --> 00:30:32,880 well well for me I mean I just kind of I 730 00:30:38,269 --> 00:30:35,700 just enjoy you know when people will um 731 00:30:39,710 --> 00:30:38,279 you know reach out to me and and share 732 00:30:42,529 --> 00:30:39,720 their experience with me I mean that's 733 00:30:44,750 --> 00:30:42,539 number one and you know I've had 734 00:30:49,130 --> 00:30:44,760 you know countless people you know 735 00:30:51,230 --> 00:30:49,140 through my website or you know um dming 736 00:30:53,450 --> 00:30:51,240 me on Twitter this or that share their 737 00:30:55,970 --> 00:30:53,460 experiences and you know some sometimes 738 00:30:57,950 --> 00:30:55,980 you can tell that uh a lot of times it's 739 00:31:00,409 --> 00:30:57,960 just somebody that just wants to talk 740 00:31:03,409 --> 00:31:00,419 you know what I mean it's like 741 00:31:07,070 --> 00:31:03,419 you know maybe they're uh maybe maybe 742 00:31:08,750 --> 00:31:07,080 the their experience is uh yeah I don't 743 00:31:10,370 --> 00:31:08,760 know that doesn't sound quite right and 744 00:31:12,409 --> 00:31:10,380 you know maybe you know some people 745 00:31:14,330 --> 00:31:12,419 reach out because they they just want to 746 00:31:15,230 --> 00:31:14,340 chit chat with you and and that that's 747 00:31:18,169 --> 00:31:15,240 cool 748 00:31:21,289 --> 00:31:18,179 but um you know the fact that people 749 00:31:23,389 --> 00:31:21,299 um will trust you enough 750 00:31:25,850 --> 00:31:23,399 you know that I'm not just like gonna 751 00:31:28,010 --> 00:31:25,860 bust out laughing or tell them they're 752 00:31:30,889 --> 00:31:28,020 stupid you know because a lot of people 753 00:31:32,630 --> 00:31:30,899 you know have reached out about you know 754 00:31:34,490 --> 00:31:32,640 something they saw out in the water out 755 00:31:36,289 --> 00:31:34,500 in the woods and they're like you know 756 00:31:38,930 --> 00:31:36,299 like you're the first person I've told 757 00:31:42,470 --> 00:31:38,940 this to you know I didn't you know or 758 00:31:44,630 --> 00:31:42,480 like you know I told my dad about this I 759 00:31:47,810 --> 00:31:44,640 told my wife about this and now I'm 760 00:31:49,669 --> 00:31:47,820 telling you you know so to um you know 761 00:31:52,570 --> 00:31:49,679 the fact that people would you know 762 00:31:55,190 --> 00:31:52,580 would would kind of trust you with that 763 00:31:57,610 --> 00:31:55,200 that for me is is like is like the 764 00:32:00,529 --> 00:31:57,620 coolest thing about it 765 00:32:03,230 --> 00:32:00,539 like people people want to talk to you 766 00:32:05,810 --> 00:32:03,240 you're you're you're warm you're 767 00:32:08,810 --> 00:32:05,820 inviting you're intelligent you're 768 00:32:10,310 --> 00:32:08,820 personable like you know heck who would 769 00:32:12,710 --> 00:32:10,320 want to sit down and have a beer and say 770 00:32:14,690 --> 00:32:12,720 like man this crazy [\h__\h] happened and 771 00:32:16,970 --> 00:32:14,700 you gotta hear this but I swear it 772 00:32:19,610 --> 00:32:16,980 happened you're like hey man hit me you 773 00:32:21,470 --> 00:32:19,620 know non-judgmental I mean I I mean I I 774 00:32:23,930 --> 00:32:21,480 just think it's cool that you know that 775 00:32:26,630 --> 00:32:23,940 people would would trust you you know 776 00:32:28,970 --> 00:32:26,640 with that information and and so so for 777 00:32:33,169 --> 00:32:28,980 me right I mean 778 00:32:36,230 --> 00:32:33,179 I just work under the assumption that um 779 00:32:38,389 --> 00:32:36,240 you know that that most people that that 780 00:32:40,669 --> 00:32:38,399 contact me like that that they're being 781 00:32:43,610 --> 00:32:40,679 genuine you know I'm not just going to 782 00:32:45,889 --> 00:32:43,620 assume somebody's got some some bad 783 00:32:49,850 --> 00:32:45,899 motive or something for contacting me 784 00:32:52,549 --> 00:32:49,860 and usually uh what I found is I I have 785 00:32:56,149 --> 00:32:52,559 found a couple stories that I that uh 786 00:32:58,789 --> 00:32:56,159 that have uh sort of sort of debunked or 787 00:33:01,549 --> 00:32:58,799 not so much debunked but like yeah this 788 00:33:04,490 --> 00:33:01,559 this guy he's full of [\h__\h] but usually 789 00:33:08,690 --> 00:33:04,500 you know it's never anything 790 00:33:10,789 --> 00:33:08,700 what am I trying to say it's you know uh 791 00:33:13,130 --> 00:33:10,799 I'm trying to look for what I'm there's 792 00:33:14,810 --> 00:33:13,140 not there there's no ill intent behind 793 00:33:16,970 --> 00:33:14,820 it I I guess is what I'm trying to say 794 00:33:19,490 --> 00:33:16,980 you know maybe they just uh 795 00:33:21,850 --> 00:33:19,500 you know they're Social Circle isn't big 796 00:33:25,009 --> 00:33:21,860 enough or or and and you know they just 797 00:33:27,350 --> 00:33:25,019 enjoyed the email back and forth this or 798 00:33:29,630 --> 00:33:27,360 that you know but I've not seen anything 799 00:33:31,250 --> 00:33:29,640 where there's like any ill intent behind 800 00:33:35,149 --> 00:33:31,260 it I mean because let's face it I mean 801 00:33:37,130 --> 00:33:35,159 you tell me your story I mean I'm not 802 00:33:38,570 --> 00:33:37,140 I'm not going to have you on Dateline 803 00:33:41,529 --> 00:33:38,580 and you know you're not going to get it then because the internet's 810 00:33:56,810 --> 00:33:54,659 saying that it's real you got to 811 00:33:58,850 --> 00:33:56,820 manifest yeah that's funny that's funny 812 00:34:01,490 --> 00:33:58,860 that the internet's saying I've got a 813 00:34:03,470 --> 00:34:01,500 podcast I mean how are my ratings is it 814 00:34:12,409 --> 00:34:03,480 successful oh no man they're about as 815 00:34:17,149 --> 00:34:15,530 uh with with Laird was fantastic and the 816 00:34:18,230 --> 00:34:17,159 thing is that the people whom I've been 817 00:34:20,450 --> 00:34:18,240 talking to 818 00:34:22,149 --> 00:34:20,460 like I get I never really lost touch 819 00:34:24,230 --> 00:34:22,159 with them they stole my Facebook I still 820 00:34:25,669 --> 00:34:24,240 yeah communicated with them it's just 821 00:34:27,290 --> 00:34:25,679 like 822 00:34:29,750 --> 00:34:27,300 you know it's when you have enough you 823 00:34:31,790 --> 00:34:29,760 have enough and you're like I got 824 00:34:34,070 --> 00:34:31,800 to change the diapers make sure the kid 825 00:34:36,349 --> 00:34:34,080 stays alive keep the wife relatively 826 00:34:38,270 --> 00:34:36,359 happy or at least you know don't ticker 827 00:34:40,970 --> 00:34:38,280 off on a constant basis 828 00:34:42,950 --> 00:34:40,980 those those are priorities 829 00:34:45,470 --> 00:34:42,960 um yeah you know being stalked by 830 00:34:51,190 --> 00:34:45,480 Kabbalah Cults because you said 831 00:34:56,389 --> 00:34:53,149 as I said like I've matured I've 832 00:34:59,210 --> 00:34:56,399 discovered a lot about myself and it's 833 00:35:00,950 --> 00:34:59,220 um it's it's water off a uh you know 834 00:35:03,290 --> 00:35:00,960 great aux back 835 00:35:05,329 --> 00:35:03,300 to a certain extent it's just yeah yeah 836 00:35:07,370 --> 00:35:05,339 people are going to be people uh and 837 00:35:10,730 --> 00:35:07,380 people don't have the criticisms and 838 00:35:14,270 --> 00:35:10,740 yeah you're right and like for me man 839 00:35:16,550 --> 00:35:14,280 this stuff should be fun yes 840 00:35:18,710 --> 00:35:16,560 uh like like that's why I started 841 00:35:20,930 --> 00:35:18,720 writing these books I you know I didn't 842 00:35:23,990 --> 00:35:20,940 start writing books and you know being 843 00:35:26,329 --> 00:35:24,000 on people's podcasts to um 844 00:35:28,730 --> 00:35:26,339 you know to beat my point of view into 845 00:35:31,370 --> 00:35:28,740 people's heads or or you know or or 846 00:35:33,589 --> 00:35:31,380 really even try to change anybody's mind 847 00:35:36,349 --> 00:35:33,599 about stuff it's just you know for me 848 00:35:38,450 --> 00:35:36,359 it's fun and then when you 849 00:35:41,030 --> 00:35:38,460 get you know when you get to and and 850 00:35:43,730 --> 00:35:41,040 I've done this myself and um you know I 851 00:35:45,109 --> 00:35:43,740 I really reigned myself man you know you 852 00:35:47,990 --> 00:35:45,119 get to this point you know you see 853 00:35:50,630 --> 00:35:48,000 people out there and they're just 854 00:35:53,690 --> 00:35:50,640 you know they're just hoaxing or they're 855 00:35:55,609 --> 00:35:53,700 just you know so full of it and you just 856 00:35:58,130 --> 00:35:55,619 you just see all this stuff and and you 857 00:36:00,109 --> 00:35:58,140 know if you let it bother you it just 858 00:36:02,030 --> 00:36:00,119 takes all the fun out of it and I just 859 00:36:04,430 --> 00:36:02,040 got to where like you know I really 860 00:36:07,490 --> 00:36:04,440 don't care what people do 861 00:36:09,109 --> 00:36:07,500 I'm just going to do what I do 862 00:36:10,910 --> 00:36:09,119 um there's going to be people that like 863 00:36:15,230 --> 00:36:10,920 it there's going to be people that don't 864 00:36:16,970 --> 00:36:15,240 and you know I reach you I reach and you 865 00:36:19,010 --> 00:36:16,980 know who I don't I don't and you know 866 00:36:22,930 --> 00:36:19,020 just like I really don't care I'm just 867 00:36:26,150 --> 00:36:22,940 doing my thing and and the moment and 868 00:36:29,630 --> 00:36:26,160 the moment it stops being fun 869 00:36:31,970 --> 00:36:29,640 I'm out I you know I I just I'll just 870 00:36:34,069 --> 00:36:31,980 quit I'll take down my website and all 871 00:36:36,050 --> 00:36:34,079 that stuff because I I really got to a 872 00:36:38,770 --> 00:36:36,060 place you know a couple years ago where 873 00:36:40,490 --> 00:36:38,780 where things just stopped being fun 874 00:36:45,250 --> 00:36:40,500 and 875 00:36:48,470 --> 00:36:45,260 that's you know 876 00:36:51,050 --> 00:36:48,480 if it's ever not fun anymore if I if I 877 00:36:53,569 --> 00:36:51,060 if I if I lose that childlike wonder 878 00:36:55,849 --> 00:36:53,579 about the Unexplained 879 00:36:58,190 --> 00:36:55,859 and then forget it I'm done I'm I'm 880 00:37:01,609 --> 00:36:58,200 going to yank the website I'm gonna go 881 00:37:02,990 --> 00:37:01,619 on Amazon d-list all my books and you 882 00:37:04,609 --> 00:37:03,000 know you'll you'll never hear from me 883 00:37:07,750 --> 00:37:04,619 again which is a good indication that 884 00:37:09,589 --> 00:37:07,760 everyone just in case you can go uh 885 00:37:12,890 --> 00:37:09,599 denvermichaels.nets and you can request 886 00:37:15,829 --> 00:37:12,900 a sign book from this man right here 887 00:37:25,849 --> 00:37:21,780 know if if things get where it's not fun 891 00:37:27,109 --> 00:37:25,859 anymore you know yeah I'm out uh because 892 00:37:29,990 --> 00:37:27,119 um 893 00:37:32,930 --> 00:37:30,000 you know it's that that's you know 894 00:37:35,030 --> 00:37:32,940 that's that's like why I started started 895 00:37:36,950 --> 00:37:35,040 writing that's that's why I do this 896 00:37:40,190 --> 00:37:36,960 because it's you know it's stuff that I 897 00:37:43,609 --> 00:37:40,200 enjoy and if it's not enjoyable then 898 00:37:45,410 --> 00:37:43,619 what the hell am I doing speaking of your old 907 00:38:08,270 --> 00:38:05,099 books 908 00:38:11,510 --> 00:38:10,250 it's unfortunately I'm gonna show them 909 00:38:15,589 --> 00:38:11,520 to you 910 00:38:18,349 --> was uh 916 00:38:36,410 --> 00:38:34,440 water Marsha South of the Border and uh 917 00:38:39,530 --> 00:38:36,420 wild and wonderful 918 00:38:41,390 --> 00:38:39,540 and paranormal West Virginia uh which 919 00:38:44,870 --> 00:38:41,400 are two of the most phenomenal books I 920 00:38:45,470 --> 00:38:44,880 think in his entire uh Corpus of work 921 00:38:47,810 --> 00:38:45,480 um 922 00:38:49,370 --> 00:38:47,820 so I did I've been working on a little 923 00:38:52,190 --> 00:38:49,380 bit of an updated for a second edition 924 00:38:54,650 --> 00:38:52,200 for the man uh I want to 00:39:05,460 either agreed with it thought it was 931 00:39:10,849 --> 00:39:09,599 amazing said yeah maybe I I still think 932 00:39:14,270 --> 00:39:10,859 for somebody who's got as much passion 933 00:39:17,630 --> 00:39:14,280 the fact you can do it at a level so 934 00:39:20,329 --> 00:39:17,640 consistently uh for so long 935 00:39:22,849 --> 00:39:20,339 it it deserves 936 00:39:24,950 --> 00:39:22,859 better work than I could do then knowing 937 00:39:26,170 --> 00:39:24,960 that I've improved and anything that I 938 00:39:29,150 --> 00:39:26,180 could do to be able to contribute to 00:41:55,200 meeting up with people like that most of 1001 00:41:58,790 --> 00:41:57,060 my uh 1002 00:42:02,089 --> 00:41:58,800 most of the 1003 00:42:03,410 --> 00:42:02,099 field stuff I do I'm I'm just totally 1004 00:42:05,569 --> 00:42:03,420 alone 1005 00:42:07,910 --> 00:42:05,579 um I'm trying to think of 1006 00:42:10,130 --> 00:42:07,920 I mean I'll tell you a place that I 1007 00:42:11,630 --> 00:42:10,140 really but wait if you're alone how do 1008 00:42:13,190 --> 00:42:11,640 you take all those selfies where you're 1009 00:42:17,150 --> 00:42:13,200 like really far back 1010 00:42:19,849 --> 00:42:17,160 uh well sometimes like when sometimes my 1011 00:42:22,310 --> 00:42:19,859 Waffle you lose me like if if it's a 1012 00:42:24,470 --> 00:42:22,320 like if it's like a hike that's got a 1013 00:42:27,410 --> 00:42:24,480 nice view yeah but you know if it's just 1014 00:42:29,990 --> 00:42:27,420 like me stomping around in the woods you 1015 00:42:32,630 --> 00:42:30,000 know she's got to have a payoff right to 1016 00:42:34,609 --> 00:42:32,640 walk seven miles back in the woods or 1017 00:42:37,490 --> 00:42:34,619 something there's got to be a nice view 1018 00:42:38,990 --> 00:42:37,500 or something so usually on those she'll 1019 00:42:42,050 --> 00:42:39,000 be with me 1020 00:42:44,990 --> 00:42:42,060 but I'm trying to think here like 1021 00:42:47,930 --> 00:42:45,000 I'll tell you uh like a place I really 1022 00:42:50,810 --> 00:42:47,940 did not like and you know people get 1023 00:42:53,390 --> 00:42:50,820 sensitive about you they think if you're 1024 00:42:56,690 --> 00:42:53,400 bagging on their town or this or that 1025 00:43:00,230 --> 00:42:56,700 but uh up in um up in Massachusetts I 1026 00:43:01,970 --> 00:43:00,240 was up there uh back in the spring and 1027 00:43:04,309 --> 00:43:01,980 um you know there's an area they call 1028 00:43:06,770 --> 00:43:04,319 the Bridgewater Triangle supposed to be 1029 00:43:08,690 --> 00:43:06,780 all kinds of weirdness and all that and 1030 00:43:10,309 --> 00:43:08,700 you know I I went around to a bunch of 1031 00:43:14,150 --> 00:43:10,319 those places I went like out in the 1032 00:43:17,390 --> 00:43:14,160 hakamak swamp and uh and all that but 1033 00:43:21,109 --> 00:43:17,400 the one place I did not like was the um 1034 00:43:23,510 --> 00:43:21,119 the Freetown Fall State Forest and you 1035 00:43:25,550 --> 00:43:23,520 know it was really 1036 00:43:28,670 --> 00:43:25,560 there's really more you know like you 1037 00:43:30,349 --> 00:43:28,680 get there and you're just thinking 1038 00:43:32,210 --> 00:43:30,359 you know you're thinking about like 1039 00:43:34,550 --> 00:43:32,220 Bigfoot sightings and all that right but 1040 00:43:38,410 --> 00:43:34,560 you get there and there's like graffiti 1041 00:43:42,470 --> 00:43:38,420 everywhere there's trash everywhere 1042 00:43:44,630 --> 00:43:42,480 I like went back to the uh RV and had 1043 00:43:46,130 --> 00:43:44,640 the wife you know like drive me out 1044 00:43:47,750 --> 00:43:46,140 there and just like drop me off because 1045 00:43:49,309 --> 00:43:47,760 I didn't want to park my car there 1046 00:43:51,109 --> 00:43:49,319 because I was afraid I was going to come 1047 00:43:54,290 --> 00:43:51,119 back and you know my tires would be 1048 00:43:57,050 --> 00:43:54,300 slashed or this or that so you know like 1049 00:43:59,210 --> 00:43:57,060 if you got to do stuff like that you 1050 00:44:01,069 --> 00:43:59,220 know you you're kind of wondering if 1051 00:44:02,990 --> 00:44:01,079 you're gonna like to stumble into some 1052 00:44:05,210 --> 00:44:03,000 meth heads or something like that when 1053 00:44:07,849 --> 00:44:05,220 you're out in the woods and uh so I 1054 00:44:10,550 --> 00:44:07,859 really didn't like that place I kind of 1055 00:44:12,470 --> 00:44:10,560 had uh had my head on the on a swivel 1056 00:44:15,710 --> 00:44:12,480 the whole time didn't 1057 00:44:17,510 --> 00:44:15,720 didn't really enter you know didn't I I 1058 00:44:20,990 --> 00:44:17,520 think it was like a Tuesday or Wednesday 1059 00:44:23,870 --> 00:44:21,000 so I I didn't really run into anybody uh 1060 00:44:26,270 --> 00:44:23,880 didn't have any kind of um you know any 1061 00:44:28,910 --> 00:44:26,280 of these strange phenomena take place 1062 00:44:31,190 --> 00:44:28,920 didn't really 1063 00:44:33,770 --> 00:44:31,200 you know see anything that blew my skirt 1064 00:44:36,650 --> 00:44:33,780 up as far as like Bigfoot evidence that 1065 00:44:39,170 --> 00:44:36,660 a lot of people a lot of people say they 1066 00:44:40,430 --> 00:44:39,180 come across there but that was a place I 1067 00:44:42,190 --> 00:44:40,440 didn't like 1068 00:44:44,990 --> 00:44:42,200 um 1069 00:44:46,309 --> 00:44:45,000 you're an American well again I'm not 1070 00:44:48,170 --> 00:44:46,319 trying to be able to paint all Americans 1071 00:44:50,930 --> 00:44:48,180 with the same brush here but 1072 00:44:54,109 --> 00:44:50,940 you know there was a certain right to 1073 00:44:56,589 --> 00:44:54,119 self-defense and to bear arms especially 1074 00:44:59,030 --> 00:44:56,599 if there's a possibility of bear arms 1075 00:45:00,589 --> 00:44:59,040 attacking you in the woods are you 1076 00:45:02,089 --> 00:45:00,599 bringing a bear spray any type of 1077 00:45:04,670 --> 00:45:02,099 protection 1078 00:45:06,470 --> 00:45:04,680 well I mean I don't they won't uh as far 1079 00:45:09,170 --> 00:45:06,480 as I know they won't let you well black 1080 00:45:11,390 --> 00:45:09,180 bears are Grandpa strap a gun or 1081 00:45:14,750 --> 00:45:11,400 anything on in Massachusetts but I 1082 00:45:15,530 --> 00:45:14,760 always uh you know I'll I'll always have 1083 00:45:18,230 --> 00:45:15,540 um 1084 00:45:20,150 --> 00:45:18,240 a lot of times I do carry a can of bear 1085 00:45:22,910 --> 00:45:20,160 spray and it really it's usually more 1086 00:45:25,970 --> 00:45:22,920 for people so much I'm more afraid of 1087 00:45:27,410 --> 00:45:25,980 people than I am bears but uh yeah like 1088 00:45:30,170 --> 00:45:27,420 even 1089 00:45:32,510 --> 00:45:30,180 a lot of places you know that I was uh 1090 00:45:34,790 --> 00:45:32,520 you know uh back in the spring when I 1091 00:45:37,550 --> 00:45:34,800 was down in Florida I was uh 1092 00:45:38,630 --> 00:45:37,560 out in uh out in the green swamp out 1093 00:45:41,030 --> 00:45:38,640 there 1094 00:45:44,210 --> 00:45:41,040 um you know they do have some bears and 1095 00:45:46,910 --> 00:45:44,220 stuff but uh really more in case you 1096 00:45:49,670 --> 00:45:46,920 run across somebody hopped up on bath 1097 00:45:53,410 --> 00:45:49,680 salts or something like that so you're 1098 00:45:57,050 --> 00:45:55,309 oh geez 1099 00:45:59,030 --> 00:45:57,060 yeah well that was that 1100 00:46:02,390 --> 00:45:59,040 I was I was doing research on like the 1101 00:46:03,890 --> 00:46:02,400 tales of Florida man buckets completely 1102 00:46:06,410 --> 00:46:03,900 different design 1103 00:46:09,950 --> 00:46:06,420 yeah it's a little different down there 1104 00:46:13,010 --> 00:46:09,960 but um I mean I'm I'm actually a Florida 1105 00:46:16,250 --> 00:46:13,020 resident now I uh I'm and a lot of 1106 00:46:19,809 --> 00:46:16,260 people hate on Florida but uh I'm a fan 1107 00:46:23,150 --> 00:46:19,819 hey it's a little bit crazy yeah I mean 1108 00:46:24,400 --> 00:46:23,160 nobody nobody can can deny it's a kind 1109 00:46:26,470 --> 00:46:24,410 of a crazy place 1110 00:46:29,690 --> 00:46:26,480 [Laughter] 1111 00:46:31,849 --> 00:46:29,700 going more into like again we're gonna 1112 00:46:34,609 --> 00:46:31,859 take a step back here a few thousand 1113 00:46:36,170 --> 00:46:34,619 years a few million years 1114 00:46:39,770 --> 00:46:36,180 um well we'll go with a few thousand 1115 00:46:43,250 --> 00:46:41,690 if we're talking about 1116 00:46:45,170 --> 00:46:43,260 out in the woods you know we've got 1117 00:46:47,030 --> 00:46:45,180 Bigfoot you know there's been tons of 1118 00:46:49,609 --> 00:46:47,040 sightings and whether it's just some guy 1119 00:46:51,470 --> 00:46:49,619 out in BC who's wearing a mask and 1120 00:46:52,730 --> 00:46:51,480 trying to get a Netflix special uh he 1121 00:46:54,650 --> 00:46:52,740 never said he wanted to come on the show 1122 00:46:57,589 --> 00:46:54,660 too that was kind of unfortunate it was 1123 00:46:59,270 --> 00:46:57,599 a long time ago uh or you know you've 1124 00:47:02,329 --> 00:46:59,280 got your chupacabra you've got your 1125 00:47:06,109 --> 00:47:02,339 alien visitations it but it's on the big 1126 00:47:08,089 --> 00:47:06,119 planes uh that you see 1127 00:47:09,890 --> 00:47:08,099 potentially mammoths 1128 00:47:11,450 --> 00:47:09,900 that is one of your most recent books 1129 00:47:14,870 --> 00:47:11,460 yeah 1130 00:47:18,410 --> 00:47:14,880 it's it's very game of thrones-esque in 1131 00:47:20,270 --> 00:47:18,420 its uh in its cover kind of what was the 1132 00:47:23,510 --> 00:47:20,280 story behind 1133 00:47:26,569 --> 00:47:23,520 that subject in particular and did you 1134 00:47:27,890 --> 00:47:26,579 watch The Joe Rogan episode on uh on the 1135 00:47:29,589 --> 00:47:27,900 Alaskan 1136 00:47:34,130 --> 00:47:29,599 boneyards 1137 00:47:35,030 --> 00:47:34,140 I did not watch The Joe Rogan episode I 1138 00:47:35,690 --> 00:47:35,040 really 1139 00:47:39,230 --> 00:47:35,700 um 1140 00:47:41,690 --> 00:47:39,240 you know I I really don't follow uh any 1141 00:47:44,630 --> 00:47:41,700 podcast real real close I mean I tune 1142 00:47:47,630 --> 00:47:44,640 into this one obviously but um you know 1143 00:47:50,329 --> 00:47:47,640 it's hard for me to really um 1144 00:47:54,230 --> 00:47:50,339 you know really follow along so I didn't 1145 00:47:58,010 --> 00:47:54,240 see that but um uh the the the point of 1146 00:47:59,210 --> 00:47:58,020 this book my contention is 1147 00:48:03,349 --> 00:47:59,220 um 1148 00:48:05,450 --> 00:48:03,359 that mammoths and mastodons 1149 00:48:09,170 --> 00:48:05,460 I'm not saying there's any alive today 1150 00:48:12,109 --> 00:48:09,180 I'm saying there could be a herd in uh 1151 00:48:13,910 --> 00:48:12,119 in the Siberian tiger or however the 1152 00:48:15,349 --> 00:48:13,920 hell you say it you know 1153 00:48:17,450 --> 00:48:15,359 um and I'm not the only one that said 1154 00:48:20,750 --> 00:48:17,460 that uh the father of cryptozoology 1155 00:48:23,630 --> 00:48:20,760 Bernard webelman's in his book um 1156 00:48:25,670 --> 00:48:23,640 you know uh searching for 1157 00:48:28,190 --> 00:48:25,680 what is it on the track of unknown 1158 00:48:30,530 --> 00:48:28,200 animals a book he released back in the 1159 00:48:33,170 --> 00:48:30,540 fifth he's uh you know he made a good 1160 00:48:36,050 --> 00:48:33,180 point that in an area that large you 1161 00:48:37,430 --> 00:48:36,060 know just a just a it's a continuous 1162 00:48:39,710 --> 00:48:37,440 Forest 1163 00:48:41,930 --> 00:48:39,720 um two-thirds the size of the United 1164 00:48:44,569 --> 00:48:41,940 States and nobody lives there I mean 1165 00:48:47,089 --> 00:48:44,579 there's some native tribes there but uh 1166 00:48:48,710 --> 00:48:47,099 very one of the most sparsely populated 1167 00:48:51,470 --> 00:48:48,720 places on Earth 1168 00:48:54,470 --> 00:48:51,480 you know he said that um 1169 00:48:56,809 --> 00:48:54,480 the amazing thing is that there are a 1170 00:48:59,809 --> 00:48:56,819 few uh Mama sightings there that you 1171 00:49:02,510 --> 00:48:59,819 know I heard could could easily avoid 1172 00:49:05,510 --> 00:49:02,520 detection there but you know I'm on the 1173 00:49:07,490 --> 00:49:05,520 fence as far as that goes but um my 1174 00:49:08,870 --> 00:49:07,500 contention is and and the reason that I 1175 00:49:12,650 --> 00:49:08,880 wrote the book 1176 00:49:16,210 --> 00:49:12,660 is I believe based on 1177 00:49:18,950 --> 00:49:16,220 um you know a lot of you Mammoth motifs 1178 00:49:21,650 --> 00:49:18,960 petroglyphs things like that and a lot 1179 00:49:25,569 --> 00:49:21,660 of the Native American Tales I think 1180 00:49:29,210 --> 00:49:25,579 that um there was at least a few 1181 00:49:30,589 --> 00:49:29,220 mammoths and mastodons alive in North 1182 00:49:32,809 --> 00:49:30,599 America 1183 00:49:33,950 --> 00:49:32,819 up until a couple hundred years ago I 1184 00:49:36,710 --> 00:49:33,960 would say 1185 00:49:39,230 --> 00:49:36,720 and that's really what um you know this 1186 00:49:42,770 --> 00:49:39,240 this book delves into and and you know 1187 00:49:44,510 --> 00:49:42,780 it the the way that I got into this was 1188 00:49:46,730 --> 00:49:44,520 um is actually 1189 00:49:50,150 --> 00:49:46,740 and it's kind of funny it's uh 1190 00:49:52,010 --> 00:49:50,160 I guess I was at about 19 years old and 1191 00:49:54,349 --> 00:49:52,020 um you know I'm a big I've always been a 1192 00:49:57,410 --> 00:49:54,359 big fan of uh Louis Lamour his uh 1193 00:49:59,809 --> 00:49:57,420 western novels right and I read um 1194 00:50:02,630 --> 00:49:59,819 uh Jewel Sackett which is a little bit 1195 00:50:04,730 --> 00:50:02,640 different it's uh it goes back to uh I I 1196 00:50:06,650 --> 00:50:04,740 think it takes place around the 1620s 1197 00:50:08,450 --> 00:50:06,660 but anyway Jubal 1198 00:50:11,510 --> 00:50:08,460 long story shorts the main character 1199 00:50:13,309 --> 00:50:11,520 Jubal he's got a Kickapoo a traveling 1200 00:50:16,190 --> 00:50:13,319 companion and he's you know he's kind of 1201 00:50:17,150 --> 00:50:16,200 like walking across the to modern day us 1202 00:50:20,750 --> 00:50:17,160 with 1203 00:50:22,309 --> 00:50:20,760 and he tells Jubal of this creature and 1204 00:50:23,930 --> 00:50:22,319 to him he's like 1205 00:50:26,329 --> 00:50:23,940 it's kind of like holy [\h__\h] that sounds 1206 00:50:28,670 --> 00:50:26,339 just like an elephant but there's no 1207 00:50:31,490 --> 00:50:28,680 elephants in North America you know and 1208 00:50:32,809 --> 00:50:31,500 and and his buddy's like oh no like I've 1209 00:50:34,370 --> 00:50:32,819 seen it 1210 00:50:37,550 --> 00:50:34,380 and 1211 00:50:39,589 --> 00:50:37,560 you know like in most of lamour's novels 1212 00:50:41,750 --> 00:50:39,599 like in in the like in the back you 1213 00:50:43,609 --> 00:50:41,760 would have like a note section because I 1214 00:50:45,890 --> 00:50:43,619 mean they were you know his novels were 1215 00:50:47,390 --> 00:50:45,900 very accurate you know historically and 1216 00:50:49,309 --> 00:50:47,400 you know he would he would have like all 1217 00:50:51,890 --> 00:50:49,319 these notes to refer to 1218 00:50:53,569 --> 00:50:51,900 and sure enough like I looked up some of 1219 00:50:54,710 --> 00:50:53,579 the some of the stuff that he had said 1220 00:50:57,589 --> 00:50:54,720 and 1221 00:51:01,010 --> 00:50:57,599 you know there was a tail from the Ponca 1222 00:51:03,950 --> 00:51:01,020 tribe that you know like India 1500s a 1223 00:51:07,130 --> 00:51:03,960 um a hunting party out around Nebraska 1224 00:51:09,049 --> 00:51:07,140 came across a dead Mammoth and the word 1225 00:51:10,849 --> 00:51:09,059 that I can't remember like how you say 1226 00:51:13,250 --> 00:51:10,859 the word or whatever but the word that 1227 00:51:15,109 --> 00:51:13,260 they used for Mammoth was like the same 1228 00:51:18,349 --> 00:51:15,119 word in their language that they used 1229 00:51:21,170 --> 00:51:18,359 like for like circus elephants that sort 1230 00:51:24,470 --> 00:51:21,180 of thing so you know 1231 00:51:26,569 --> 00:51:24,480 it's like okay maybe there's a little 1232 00:51:28,609 --> 00:51:26,579 something to this and you know I'd read 1233 00:51:31,670 --> 00:51:28,619 these Tales of um 1234 00:51:34,010 --> 00:51:31,680 various Native American tribes of these 1235 00:51:35,930 --> 00:51:34,020 uh stiff-legged Bears they call them and 1236 00:51:38,450 --> 00:51:35,940 and the description I mean you know if 1237 00:51:40,430 --> 00:51:38,460 it's a mastodon 1238 00:51:43,370 --> 00:51:40,440 um you know some of the First Nations 1239 00:51:45,710 --> 00:51:43,380 people talked about a like a great moose 1240 00:51:47,450 --> 00:51:45,720 they had a fifth leg you know that it 1241 00:51:49,910 --> 00:51:47,460 could pick stuff up with you know like 1242 00:51:51,589 --> 00:51:49,920 uh you know like like a trunk and are 1243 00:51:55,069 --> 00:51:51,599 you sure they were talking about the 1244 00:51:57,170 --> 00:51:55,079 trunk well it might yeah well it's one 1245 00:52:00,290 --> 00:51:57,180 or the other so you know to keep it 1246 00:52:02,510 --> 00:52:00,300 clean we'll go with me I just want to 1247 00:52:04,490 --> 00:52:02,520 clarify that don't you know the you know 1248 00:52:06,890 --> 00:52:04,500 the point being that 1249 00:52:09,470 --> 00:52:06,900 there's a lot of there's a lot of things 1250 00:52:10,790 --> 00:52:09,480 that that you know just kind of make you 1251 00:52:13,730 --> 00:52:10,800 think and okay 1252 00:52:14,870 --> 00:52:13,740 um it's one of those things and it's 1253 00:52:16,730 --> 00:52:14,880 kind of like what I was talking about 1254 00:52:18,710 --> 00:52:16,740 earlier this this stuff has to be 1255 00:52:21,650 --> 00:52:18,720 enjoyable for me it has to be fun right 1256 00:52:24,470 --> 00:52:21,660 I mean if anybody picks up my book it's 1257 00:52:27,470 --> 00:52:24,480 called modern day mammoths um 1258 00:52:29,329 --> 00:52:27,480 you know it's it's not uh 1259 00:52:32,089 --> 00:52:29,339 you know if you're looking for a whole 1260 00:52:34,190 --> 00:52:32,099 bunch of scientific proof you're going 1261 00:52:36,109 --> 00:52:34,200 to be disappointed I mean I can't prove 1262 00:52:38,870 --> 00:52:36,119 a word of what I'm saying 1263 00:52:41,510 --> 00:52:38,880 but it's you know there's just all of 1264 00:52:44,809 --> 00:52:41,520 these interesting tales that just really 1265 00:52:47,630 --> 00:52:44,819 like make you think that um you know 1266 00:52:51,530 --> 00:52:47,640 some of these old stories if people 1267 00:52:52,750 --> 00:52:51,540 weren't so biased right that we know you 1268 00:52:55,490 --> 00:52:52,760 know 1269 00:52:57,470 --> 00:52:55,500 mammoths mastodons went extinct at the 1270 00:53:00,589 --> 00:52:57,480 end of The Last Day Ice Age you know 1271 00:53:02,630 --> 00:53:00,599 we're so biased by what we think we know 1272 00:53:05,030 --> 00:53:02,640 that we just kind of like 1273 00:53:08,089 --> 00:53:05,040 you know just put these blinders on and 1274 00:53:10,790 --> 00:53:08,099 and so any any of these old stories oh 1275 00:53:13,250 --> 00:53:10,800 no that's a bear or you know oh no 1276 00:53:14,870 --> 00:53:13,260 that's you know that's uh 1277 00:53:17,510 --> 00:53:14,880 you know that that's some sort of 1278 00:53:19,790 --> 00:53:17,520 Parable with you know some sort of 1279 00:53:22,069 --> 00:53:19,800 esoteric meaning you know 1280 00:53:25,069 --> 00:53:22,079 um but it's it's really interesting to 1281 00:53:28,370 --> 00:53:25,079 me and I um if you read um 1282 00:53:31,730 --> 00:53:28,380 and buying to Laurier Junior's book red 1283 00:53:34,130 --> 00:53:31,740 Earth White Lies some of you probably at 1284 00:53:36,230 --> 00:53:34,140 least heard of his his early Works uh 1285 00:53:38,930 --> 00:53:36,240 you know Custer died for your sins he 1286 00:53:40,970 --> 00:53:38,940 was a Native American Author activist 1287 00:53:43,370 --> 00:53:40,980 but anyway in the 1288 00:53:45,290 --> 00:53:43,380 in the uh red Earth white lights he 1289 00:53:47,210 --> 00:53:45,300 really gets into some of those stories 1290 00:53:50,809 --> 00:53:47,220 you know from a Native American 1291 00:53:53,150 --> 00:53:50,819 perspective of how you know when the 1292 00:53:55,910 --> 00:53:53,160 pill you know as he puts it like when 1293 00:54:00,530 --> 00:53:55,920 the pilgrims landed on North America 1294 00:54:04,849 --> 00:54:00,540 there were still you know at least a few 1295 00:54:08,450 --> 00:54:04,859 you know Mamas and Mastodon so um there 1296 00:54:10,549 --> 00:54:08,460 was actually a uh you know a herd on one 1297 00:54:11,450 --> 00:54:10,559 of the Californian 1298 00:54:13,130 --> 00:54:11,460 um 1299 00:54:15,710 --> 00:54:13,140 Islands offshore and because like they 1300 00:54:18,650 --> 00:54:15,720 had been there for so long uh if if you 1301 00:54:20,990 --> 00:54:18,660 stick a species on us on an island it's 1302 00:54:22,910 --> 00:54:21,000 eventually going to get smaller uh so 1303 00:54:25,490 --> 00:54:22,920 like they had shrunk down so you're 1304 00:54:27,290 --> 00:54:25,500 talking smaller than a current uh you 1305 00:54:29,329 --> 00:54:27,300 know elephant but they would you know 1306 00:54:30,530 --> 00:54:29,339 they still existed and I think they were 1307 00:54:32,030 --> 00:54:30,540 I don't even I'm not even gonna 1308 00:54:34,250 --> 00:54:32,040 speculate on the date because I'm I'm 1309 00:54:37,010 --> 00:54:34,260 you know pulling back far into my memory 1310 00:54:39,230 --> 00:54:37,020 as far as this one but like a couple a 1311 00:54:40,430 --> 00:54:39,240 couple hundred years ago at least about 1312 00:54:41,630 --> 00:54:40,440 a thousand years ago maybe they were 1313 00:54:43,910 --> 00:54:41,640 still around 1314 00:54:46,670 --> 00:54:43,920 well I mean I think the current time 1315 00:54:48,650 --> 00:54:46,680 frames everybody says is like you know 1316 00:54:50,750 --> 00:54:48,660 the last of these things died like I 1317 00:54:53,390 --> 00:54:50,760 mean maybe some stuff you know with with 1318 00:54:55,970 --> 00:54:53,400 certain areas has been revised but you 1319 00:55:00,049 --> 00:54:55,980 know the the best uh last I've heard is 1320 00:55:02,569 --> 00:55:00,059 like 4 000 years ago right but um 1321 00:55:05,329 --> 00:55:02,579 you know I mean like to me 1322 00:55:08,510 --> 00:55:05,339 I'll give you a quick example here 1323 00:55:10,970 --> 00:55:08,520 um like uh recently I don't know if 1324 00:55:13,990 --> 00:55:10,980 folks have heard of the Siberian unicorn 1325 00:55:17,329 --> 00:55:14,000 it it was like this large you know 1326 00:55:20,030 --> 00:55:17,339 rhinoceros and uh they thought that 1327 00:55:22,490 --> 00:55:20,040 these things had went extinct 1328 00:55:26,990 --> 00:55:22,500 um you know the time frame was you know 1329 00:55:29,630 --> 00:55:27,000 uh 200 000 years ago thereabouts and you 1330 00:55:32,990 --> 00:55:29,640 know they they recently revised their 1331 00:55:34,490 --> 00:55:33,000 position that they uh went extinct 39 1332 00:55:37,430 --> 00:55:34,500 000 years ago 1333 00:55:39,650 --> 00:55:37,440 so they you know essentially lived 1334 00:55:41,990 --> 00:55:39,660 alongside modern humans you know the 1335 00:55:46,970 --> 00:55:42,000 point of this is you know that is a 1336 00:55:50,390 --> 00:55:46,980 correction of what 160 000 years 1337 00:55:53,089 --> 00:55:50,400 okay so I mean I'm is it really that 1338 00:55:54,650 --> 00:55:53,099 crazy that I'm you know that I'm saying 1339 00:55:56,750 --> 00:55:54,660 that okay you're saying that everything 1340 00:55:59,329 --> 00:55:56,760 was wiped out at the end of the last ice 1341 00:56:01,010 --> 00:55:59,339 age I'm saying a few hundred years ago I 1342 00:56:03,770 --> 00:56:01,020 mean that's only a correction of a few 1343 00:56:07,190 --> 00:56:03,780 thousand years not a hundred and sixty 1344 00:56:09,770 --> 00:56:07,200 thousand years and I I just think that 1345 00:56:12,589 --> 00:56:09,780 you know we just we we just get so 1346 00:56:14,450 --> 00:56:12,599 people just get so sad and you know what 1347 00:56:17,809 --> 00:56:14,460 we think we know 1348 00:56:21,109 --> 00:56:17,819 and the science is settled uh you know 1349 00:56:23,030 --> 00:56:21,119 and yeah I mean like it's like I 1350 00:56:25,670 --> 00:56:23,040 remember you know in some college class 1351 00:56:29,630 --> 00:56:25,680 and geology classes in college you know 1352 00:56:32,630 --> 00:56:29,640 like uh a kid asked about uh 1353 00:56:34,670 --> 00:56:32,640 you know dating uh Rock layers and 1354 00:56:37,569 --> 00:56:34,680 things and he's like well you know 1355 00:56:39,950 --> 00:56:37,579 couldn't um you know like a like a flood 1356 00:56:42,530 --> 00:56:39,960 you know create some of these land 1357 00:56:45,710 --> 00:56:42,540 features or layers no 1358 00:56:48,290 --> 00:56:45,720 that's religion I'm only focused on 1359 00:56:50,390 --> 00:56:48,300 science and science I'm not going to 1360 00:56:53,450 --> 00:56:50,400 waste the classes you know there you 1361 00:56:55,930 --> 00:56:53,460 just the everything is is settled 1362 00:56:59,450 --> 00:56:55,940 according to these people 1363 00:57:00,829 --> 00:56:59,460 that wrong but at least look at that as 1364 00:57:01,970 --> 00:57:00,839 a possibility because like those those 1365 00:57:03,589 --> 00:57:01,980 were dug out 1366 00:57:05,690 --> 00:57:03,599 at least potentially 1367 00:57:08,630 --> 00:57:05,700 okay that's a Randall Carlson thing like 1368 00:57:11,390 --> 00:57:08,640 we all know the Missoula uh uh you know 1369 00:57:13,069 --> 00:57:11,400 scavalands those are massive features 1370 00:57:16,130 --> 00:57:13,079 that were dug out by a large Deluge 1371 00:57:17,870 --> 00:57:16,140 Deluge of water apparently uh some 1372 00:57:19,790 --> 00:57:17,880 people say it was just erosion over a 1373 00:57:22,250 --> 00:57:19,800 long period of time it kind of looks 1374 00:57:23,329 --> 00:57:22,260 like if you pour water if you look at a 1375 00:57:25,549 --> 00:57:23,339 if you were in a kid and you have water 1376 00:57:27,530 --> 00:57:25,559 out of a bucket and you pour it into the 1377 00:57:29,950 --> 00:57:27,540 beach sand and the beach sand is already 1378 00:57:32,510 --> 00:57:29,960 wet it's going to make a very clear path 1379 00:57:34,370 --> 00:57:32,520 like that's it's a very similar thing 1380 00:57:36,710 --> 00:57:34,380 but on a much larger scale obviously we 1381 00:57:38,809 --> 00:57:36,720 can't see it because you know if we were 1382 00:57:40,309 --> 00:57:38,819 thousands of feet tall it would probably 1383 00:57:43,069 --> 00:57:40,319 look the same 1384 00:57:46,370 --> 00:57:43,079 um you know it 1385 00:57:50,210 --> 00:57:46,380 the experts in a lot of fields are going 1386 00:57:51,950 --> 00:57:50,220 to have a lot of expertise and data to 1387 00:57:55,670 --> 00:57:51,960 be able to back up their findings when 1388 00:57:57,410 --> 00:57:55,680 it comes to archeology uh fossil Foss 1389 00:57:59,710 --> 00:57:57,420 and I'm not a scientist but you know I I 1390 00:58:02,450 --> 00:57:59,720 know a fair amount of scientists 1391 00:58:03,829 --> 00:58:02,460 fossilization for anybody out there it 1392 00:58:07,730 --> 00:58:03,839 has to happen under very specific 1393 00:58:11,170 --> 00:58:07,740 conditions so the fossils we find are 1394 00:58:14,270 --> 00:58:11,180 a very small fraction of what actually 1395 00:58:16,309 --> 00:58:14,280 survived so we don't even have the false 1396 00:58:17,150 --> 00:58:16,319 record we have isn't even the full 1397 00:58:20,870 --> 00:58:17,160 picture 1398 00:58:24,829 --> 00:58:20,880 we're making suppositions based on 1399 00:58:27,410 --> 00:58:24,839 a small data set and can it be accurate 1400 00:58:28,910 --> 00:58:27,420 in some ways yes you know there may be 1401 00:58:31,970 --> 00:58:28,920 things that were that were missing even 1402 00:58:34,790 --> 00:58:31,980 from 30 000 years ago 10 000 years ago 1403 00:58:38,390 --> 00:58:34,800 heck even like 1404 00:58:41,390 --> 00:58:38,400 it's like I I I could break wind and it 1405 00:58:43,609 --> 00:58:41,400 will smell different one day versus the 1406 00:58:46,430 --> 00:58:43,619 other even if I eat the exact same thing 1407 00:58:48,770 --> 00:58:46,440 every single day so you can't even go 1408 00:58:51,710 --> 00:58:48,780 with sometimes the data that you have 1409 00:58:54,650 --> 00:58:51,720 from the day before so if you're talking 1410 00:58:57,109 --> 00:58:54,660 10 000 years 1411 00:58:59,750 --> 00:58:57,119 it's it's very difficult and I I can 1412 00:59:02,690 --> 00:58:59,760 understand that perspective 100 so at 1413 00:59:06,289 --> 00:59:02,700 least from a questioning standpoint but 1414 00:59:08,329 --> 00:59:06,299 I'm that pain in the ass guy who always 1415 00:59:10,130 --> 00:59:08,339 will ask more questions 1416 00:59:11,870 --> 00:59:10,140 either because I want to know 1417 00:59:13,609 --> 00:59:11,880 or because I just want to be annoying 1418 00:59:15,170 --> 00:59:13,619 and I think it's funny 1419 00:59:17,569 --> 00:59:15,180 most the time it's because I want to 1420 00:59:22,450 --> 00:59:20,630 and like if whether it's for my own uh 1421 00:59:25,069 --> 00:59:22,460 uh my own 1422 00:59:26,510 --> 00:59:25,079 well-being of peace of mind or just the 1423 00:59:27,950 --> 00:59:26,520 fact that it's like okay well at least 1424 00:59:29,990 --> 00:59:27,960 it's something new that I learned today 1425 00:59:31,069 --> 00:59:30,000 and I can add it to that piece of the 1426 00:59:34,549 --> 00:59:31,079 puzzle 1427 00:59:36,829 --> 00:59:34,559 videos sometimes you just gotta know for 1428 00:59:38,990 --> 00:59:36,839 knowing some people will say oh history 1429 00:59:41,770 --> 00:59:39,000 we if we learn history we can learn from 1430 00:59:44,870 --> 00:59:41,780 the past yes that is very important 1431 00:59:47,569 --> 00:59:44,880 sometimes you just gots to know and 1432 00:59:50,510 --> 00:59:47,579 there's nothing more to it it's it is 1433 00:59:53,030 --> 00:59:50,520 our endless curiosity as humans and so 1434 00:59:55,309 --> 00:59:53,040 one of the reasons one of the reasons I 1435 00:59:57,470 --> 00:59:55,319 brought this show back because I'm like 1436 01:00:00,230 --> 00:59:57,480 it's it's fun to know whether it's other 1437 01:00:02,930 --> 01:00:00,240 people's perspectives or not and 1438 01:00:04,730 --> 01:00:02,940 you know if if one of the things I'm I I 1439 01:00:06,289 --> 01:00:04,740 gotta know is whether you know the 1440 01:00:08,870 --> 01:00:06,299 difference between a mastodon and a 1441 01:00:11,809 --> 01:00:08,880 mammoth because most people don't 1442 01:00:14,390 --> 01:00:11,819 I would think that it comes down to size 1443 01:00:15,950 --> 01:00:14,400 and Tusk structure and head structure 1444 01:00:19,430 --> 01:00:15,960 but it's probably a lot more complicated 1445 01:00:21,170 --> 01:00:19,440 than that so can you eliminate me 1446 01:00:24,710 --> 01:00:21,180 uh you know I mean they're they're 1447 01:00:25,750 --> 01:00:24,720 pretty similar like Mastodon is uh you 1448 01:00:29,809 --> 01:00:25,760 know like 1449 01:00:33,109 --> 01:00:29,819 I there they're kind of shorter like 1450 01:00:35,150 --> 01:00:33,119 stockier you know they're like cousins 1451 01:00:38,150 --> 01:00:35,160 you know the the mammals you know they 1452 01:00:40,789 --> 01:00:38,160 got that like that big curving toss kind 1453 01:00:43,970 --> 01:00:40,799 of like the um 1454 01:00:46,549 --> 01:00:43,980 the the way that they're that their back 1455 01:00:48,289 --> 01:00:46,559 looks it's it's almost kind of like the 1456 01:00:51,230 --> 01:00:48,299 uh I really like the difference between 1457 01:00:53,630 --> 01:00:51,240 a grizzly bear Ray robino's character 1458 01:00:55,190 --> 01:00:53,640 from Ice Age one was that a mammoth or a 1459 01:00:57,289 --> 01:00:55,200 mastodon 1460 01:00:58,910 --> 01:00:57,299 do what now have you ever watched Ice 1461 01:01:03,289 --> 01:00:58,920 Age the first one 1462 01:01:05,170 --> 01:01:03,299 Ray Romano that was a yes okay so the 1463 01:01:08,270 --> 01:01:05,180 Mastodon there 1464 01:01:10,370 --> 01:01:08,280 you know their their back is like kind 1465 01:01:13,010 --> 01:01:10,380 of flatter looking they're a little more 1466 01:01:15,109 --> 01:01:13,020 kind of kind of stocky I mean they're 1467 01:01:18,049 --> 01:01:15,119 they're you know they got really big too 1468 01:01:20,870 --> 01:01:18,059 but uh you know the mammoths were and 1469 01:01:24,170 --> 01:01:20,880 the mammoths lived more like 1470 01:01:27,049 --> 01:01:24,180 and then like on on the steps and like 1471 01:01:30,170 --> 01:01:27,059 in more grasslands I think the the 1472 01:01:33,109 --> 01:01:30,180 mastodons were you know in like more the 1473 01:01:35,329 --> 01:01:33,119 wooded environments but um you know they 1474 01:01:36,950 --> 01:01:35,339 they co-mingled I mean they found a lot 1475 01:01:40,670 --> 01:01:36,960 of their you know their bones 1476 01:01:42,950 --> 01:01:40,680 intermingled in some of the same places 1477 01:01:44,329 --> 01:01:42,960 so it's like you know dogs at a dog park 1478 01:01:46,309 --> 01:01:44,339 they're just gonna hang out even if you 1479 01:01:47,690 --> 01:01:46,319 got a golden retriever or you got like a 1480 01:01:49,010 --> 01:01:47,700 great yeah I mean there a little 1481 01:01:52,130 --> 01:01:49,020 schnauzer 1482 01:01:56,089 --> 01:01:52,140 oh yeah they're they're you know they're 1483 01:01:57,890 --> 01:01:56,099 very similar I I had to ask because my 1484 01:02:00,109 --> 01:01:57,900 five-year-old has been watching Ice Age 1485 01:02:02,150 --> 01:02:00,119 one she won't watch the other ones 1486 01:02:03,589 --> 01:02:02,160 because heaven forbid you know the 1487 01:02:05,270 --> 01:02:03,599 acting gets worse and the story gets 1488 01:02:07,309 --> 01:02:05,280 more convoluted the original is always 1489 01:02:08,930 --> 01:02:07,319 going to be better like Star Wars 1490 01:02:11,270 --> 01:02:08,940 um so [\h__\h] like that that was her 1491 01:02:12,490 --> 01:02:11,280 question and uh you know she's asleep 1492 01:02:15,230 --> 01:02:12,500 right now because 1493 01:02:19,010 --> 01:02:15,240 kids kids up after 8 30 is never a good 1494 01:02:20,750 --> 01:02:19,020 thing uh yeah so honey it's 1495 01:02:23,510 --> 01:02:20,760 mastodons 1496 01:02:27,170 --> 01:02:23,520 flat back shorter mammoths that's from 1497 01:02:30,109 --> 01:02:27,180 Ice Age so there you know uh 1498 01:02:32,390 --> 01:02:30,119 getting into Giants 1499 01:02:34,670 --> 01:02:32,400 because this is my favorite subject of 1500 01:02:36,109 --> 01:02:34,680 all time yeah that's a that's a cool 1501 01:02:37,789 --> 01:02:36,119 song 1502 01:02:41,569 --> 01:02:37,799 um men of renown 1503 01:02:44,349 --> 01:02:41,579 is what I would consider to be your opus 1504 01:02:49,370 --> 01:02:44,359 uh it is a 1505 01:02:51,650 --> 01:02:49,380 650 700 page Tome of a collection of 1506 01:02:53,329 --> 01:02:51,660 giant myths from 1507 01:02:55,730 --> 01:02:53,339 across the world 1508 01:02:59,690 --> 01:02:55,740 and 1509 01:03:05,630 --> 01:03:03,470 how was it getting that book finished 1510 01:03:08,450 --> 01:03:05,640 and what are kind of some of the common 1511 01:03:11,349 --> 01:03:08,460 misconceptions that you found other 1512 01:03:14,690 --> 01:03:11,359 people had about prehistoric creatures 1513 01:03:16,549 --> 01:03:14,700 including Giants uh whether it be myth 1514 01:03:17,990 --> 01:03:16,559 or compared to 1515 01:03:21,410 --> 01:03:18,000 you know 1516 01:03:24,010 --> 01:03:21,420 tall guy 1517 01:03:27,049 --> 01:03:24,020 well I think 1518 01:03:29,450 --> 01:03:27,059 you know you know Waters of 1519 01:03:30,710 --> 01:03:29,460 misconceptions about Giants I mean 1520 01:03:34,010 --> 01:03:30,720 that's um 1521 01:03:36,170 --> 01:03:34,020 that's kind of like asking you know what 1522 01:03:38,690 --> 01:03:36,180 are some misconceptions about aliens 1523 01:03:41,030 --> 01:03:38,700 right because I I can't prove that they 1524 01:03:43,069 --> 01:03:41,040 exist you know so you know if we just 1525 01:03:45,770 --> 01:03:43,079 kind of like start from you know start 1526 01:03:49,250 --> 01:03:45,780 from there but I would say like one of 1527 01:03:51,890 --> 01:03:49,260 the biggest uh things that I come across 1528 01:03:53,450 --> 01:03:51,900 with the uh with with these giant 1529 01:03:56,150 --> 01:03:53,460 stories 1530 01:03:57,530 --> 01:03:56,160 yeah a lot of people in the Bigfoot 1531 01:04:00,289 --> 01:03:57,540 community 1532 01:04:03,349 --> 01:04:00,299 you know think that uh you know these 1533 01:04:06,109 --> 01:04:03,359 ancient giant stories or you know giant 1534 01:04:07,309 --> 01:04:06,119 bones that have been found 1535 01:04:10,609 --> 01:04:07,319 you know 1536 01:04:12,829 --> 01:04:10,619 um point to Bigfoot and and they really 1537 01:04:15,950 --> 01:04:12,839 uh you know kind of champion a lot of 1538 01:04:19,730 --> 01:04:15,960 that as uh as as Bigfoot evidence and um 1539 01:04:23,870 --> 01:04:19,740 I am not in that camp I I believe that 1540 01:04:26,270 --> 01:04:23,880 Giants they are you know just uh you 1541 01:04:27,710 --> 01:04:26,280 know big people and and and what I mean 1542 01:04:30,589 --> 01:04:27,720 by that 1543 01:04:33,170 --> 01:04:30,599 I don't mean like oh yeah well like 1544 01:04:35,089 --> 01:04:33,180 somebody's seven feet tall would you 1545 01:04:36,710 --> 01:04:35,099 know would be a giant compared to you 1546 01:04:38,450 --> 01:04:36,720 and that's not what I'm talking about I 1547 01:04:42,109 --> 01:04:38,460 mean some of these people 1548 01:04:44,150 --> 01:04:42,119 you know were 10 12 feet tall and I 1549 01:04:48,049 --> 01:04:44,160 think you're seven Footers or their 1550 01:04:50,870 --> 01:04:48,059 jeans just got diluted down over time 1551 01:04:53,150 --> 01:04:50,880 I I think these uh these Giants they 1552 01:04:55,730 --> 01:04:53,160 they were humans or 1553 01:04:58,549 --> 01:04:55,740 you know a notch above us you know and 1554 01:05:01,670 --> 01:04:58,559 in in in their genes and and their 1555 01:05:03,589 --> 01:05:01,680 makeup so yeah one of the things I uh 1556 01:05:06,650 --> 01:05:03,599 you know I don't really argue with 1557 01:05:08,930 --> 01:05:06,660 people or or debate them but uh that is 1558 01:05:11,990 --> 01:05:08,940 one thing that I um 1559 01:05:14,390 --> 01:05:12,000 that I see like a a lot of your Bigfoot 1560 01:05:18,650 --> 01:05:14,400 Community will will take some of these 1561 01:05:21,470 --> 01:05:18,660 giant uh skeletal fines or you know some 1562 01:05:24,230 --> 01:05:21,480 of these stories and uh you know kind of 1563 01:05:26,690 --> 01:05:24,240 crowbar that into uh you know the 1564 01:05:29,390 --> 01:05:26,700 Bigfoot evidence would that make like 1565 01:05:32,809 --> 01:05:29,400 that particular segment of the Bigfoot 1566 01:05:36,230 --> 01:05:32,819 Community the third segment because you 1567 01:05:38,870 --> 01:05:36,240 have your giant bipedeal ape people who 1568 01:05:40,190 --> 01:05:38,880 are more of the um rationalists I like 1569 01:05:41,930 --> 01:05:40,200 to call them 1570 01:05:44,750 --> 01:05:41,940 um then you have your 1571 01:05:47,770 --> 01:05:44,760 uh psychic 1572 01:05:51,170 --> 01:05:47,780 um potential weekend lover alien 1573 01:05:53,150 --> 01:05:51,180 red-eyed can walk through walls Bigfoot 1574 01:05:56,690 --> 01:05:53,160 um and now you have your potentially 1575 01:05:58,789 --> 01:05:56,700 giant Bigfoot between those three just 1576 01:06:01,750 --> 01:05:58,799 before we can we can go on which one do 1577 01:06:05,210 --> 01:06:01,760 you think is the most likely 1578 01:06:08,930 --> 01:06:05,220 this is something that I 1579 01:06:11,329 --> 01:06:08,940 you know I oscillate uh back and forth 1580 01:06:13,430 --> 01:06:11,339 on I mean if um 1581 01:06:15,470 --> 01:06:13,440 you know years ago 1582 01:06:18,410 --> 01:06:15,480 you couldn't have told me Bigfoot was 1583 01:06:20,750 --> 01:06:18,420 anything other you know than a bipedal 1584 01:06:24,349 --> 01:06:20,760 ape that we've just not discovered and 1585 01:06:27,470 --> 01:06:24,359 but you know as more time goes on 1586 01:06:29,210 --> 01:06:27,480 and you know when you talk to people 1587 01:06:32,150 --> 01:06:29,220 that uh 1588 01:06:34,849 --> 01:06:32,160 you know to see the uh the golden red 1589 01:06:38,089 --> 01:06:34,859 eyes with them and and no matter you 1590 01:06:40,490 --> 01:06:38,099 know no matter what you any way you look 1591 01:06:42,710 --> 01:06:40,500 at that I mean a great ape they've got 1592 01:06:45,230 --> 01:06:42,720 eyes like us see you know they're not 1593 01:06:47,210 --> 01:06:45,240 going to have red eye shine you know 1594 01:06:49,549 --> 01:06:47,220 from artificial light hitting their eyes 1595 01:06:51,490 --> 01:06:49,559 and they sure as hell aren't going to 1596 01:06:53,930 --> 01:06:51,500 have you know 1597 01:06:57,589 --> 01:06:53,940 bioluminescent red eyes I mean that's 1598 01:06:58,970 --> 01:06:57,599 just that's just not gonna it's just not 1599 01:07:02,029 --> 01:06:58,980 gonna be a thing 1600 01:07:04,069 --> 01:07:02,039 and but I mean that is so common in 1601 01:07:06,349 --> 01:07:04,079 reports and I mean there's just so many 1602 01:07:09,170 --> 01:07:06,359 reports where there's some element of 1603 01:07:11,390 --> 01:07:09,180 high strangeness with it and often you 1604 01:07:12,470 --> 01:07:11,400 know like from very credible Witnesses 1605 01:07:14,390 --> 01:07:12,480 and stuff 1606 01:07:16,910 --> 01:07:14,400 um you know we haven't 1607 01:07:20,150 --> 01:07:16,920 you know as many people is out there 1608 01:07:22,549 --> 01:07:20,160 looking for these things I mean there's 1609 01:07:24,589 --> 01:07:22,559 there's still there there's no smoking 1610 01:07:26,690 --> 01:07:24,599 gun I mean there's you know there 1611 01:07:29,270 --> 01:07:26,700 there's some interesting cracks some 1612 01:07:31,490 --> 01:07:29,280 very interesting casts of tracks 1613 01:07:34,130 --> 01:07:31,500 but that's all they are right there's 1614 01:07:36,289 --> 01:07:34,140 you know okay you've got to track but 1615 01:07:38,630 --> 01:07:36,299 you know you you've not got a body you 1616 01:07:41,630 --> 01:07:38,640 know you've got some inconclusive hair 1617 01:07:45,650 --> 01:07:41,640 samples and things like that 1618 01:07:49,490 --> 01:07:45,660 and you know the the evidence would you 1619 01:07:52,069 --> 01:07:49,500 know would kind of point that um 1620 01:07:54,950 --> 01:07:52,079 you know like there's just not the 1621 01:07:57,049 --> 01:07:54,960 evidence that you would expect so in 1622 01:07:59,690 --> 01:07:57,059 that regard 1623 01:08:02,930 --> 01:07:59,700 what are you left with I mean I I just 1624 01:08:04,010 --> 01:08:02,940 don't think that all of these people are 1625 01:08:06,650 --> 01:08:04,020 um 1626 01:08:08,450 --> 01:08:06,660 you know that they're making it up or or 1627 01:08:13,609 --> 01:08:08,460 they're crazy 1628 01:08:16,729 --> 01:08:13,619 so so from that angle I entertain the um 1629 01:08:20,470 --> 01:08:16,739 you know the possibility that uh perhaps 1630 01:08:22,130 --> 01:08:20,480 you know Bigfoot is some sort of um 1631 01:08:25,669 --> 01:08:22,140 metaphysical 1632 01:08:27,349 --> 01:08:25,679 um type type creature now I'm not um 1633 01:08:29,630 --> 01:08:27,359 I'm not one of these people that go out 1634 01:08:31,370 --> 01:08:29,640 in the woods and sit in a circle naked 1635 01:08:33,709 --> 01:08:31,380 and you know like try to communicate 1636 01:08:37,130 --> 01:08:33,719 with it I'm not are you sure I don't 1637 01:08:43,550 --> 01:08:40,070 even that [\h__\h] either you know and it's 1638 01:08:45,349 --> 01:08:43,560 uh you know it's 1639 01:08:47,809 --> 01:08:45,359 I don't know what what can I tell you 1640 01:08:50,689 --> 01:08:47,819 but I mean if you if you look at someone 1641 01:08:52,189 --> 01:08:50,699 like 1642 01:08:54,610 --> 01:08:52,199 so 1643 01:08:57,289 --> 01:08:54,620 you know maybe 1644 01:08:59,930 --> 01:08:57,299 one of the things I I brought up in the 1645 01:09:01,849 --> 01:08:59,940 book right is um 1646 01:09:04,070 --> 01:09:01,859 you know if you if you read like The 1647 01:09:06,289 --> 01:09:04,080 Book of Enoch and and some of these 1648 01:09:07,010 --> 01:09:06,299 other you know the Bible some of these 1649 01:09:10,610 --> 01:09:07,020 other 1650 01:09:13,249 --> 01:09:10,620 and 1651 01:09:15,530 --> 01:09:13,259 you know like these Giants uh in the 1652 01:09:16,550 --> 01:09:15,540 Bible Book of Enoch like like when they 1653 01:09:18,349 --> 01:09:16,560 died 1654 01:09:20,930 --> 01:09:18,359 and you know that this is all getting 1655 01:09:23,870 --> 01:09:20,940 into some kooky esoteric stuff I guess 1656 01:09:26,329 --> 01:09:23,880 but you know like what would have you 1657 01:09:29,749 --> 01:09:26,339 know what would have happened like to 1658 01:09:31,910 --> 01:09:29,759 their Spirits or or souls and and again 1659 01:09:33,709 --> 01:09:31,920 this is if you even believe in this sort 1660 01:09:35,150 --> 01:09:33,719 of thing which a lot of people don't I 1661 01:09:38,030 --> 01:09:35,160 mean a lot of people think you know when 1662 01:09:41,390 --> 01:09:38,040 we die you know we're just worm food and 1663 01:09:44,269 --> 01:09:41,400 that's it but you know just 1664 01:09:47,209 --> 01:09:44,279 for argument's sake assuming we all have 1665 01:09:50,450 --> 01:09:47,219 souls you know whatever a soul is 1666 01:09:52,729 --> 01:09:50,460 you know so a creature 1667 01:09:54,950 --> 01:09:52,739 you know in the Bible it says that the 1668 01:09:58,490 --> 01:09:54,960 uh that these Giants were created 1669 01:10:00,169 --> 01:09:58,500 through the the union of angels and and 1670 01:10:03,410 --> 01:10:00,179 human women 1671 01:10:05,689 --> 01:10:03,420 so you know like when when these uh 1672 01:10:09,350 --> 01:10:05,699 Giants were killed either in the flood 1673 01:10:10,790 --> 01:10:09,360 or you know like later in the Bible 1674 01:10:14,450 --> 01:10:10,800 um you know 1675 01:10:16,250 --> 01:10:14,460 um Joseph and Caleb exterminated a bunch 1676 01:10:20,090 --> 01:10:16,260 of them what would have happened to 1677 01:10:24,110 --> 01:10:20,100 their souls and I entertained the idea 1678 01:10:26,870 --> 01:10:24,120 that maybe like those souls are floating 1679 01:10:30,050 --> 01:10:26,880 around out here and 1680 01:10:31,130 --> 01:10:30,060 you know could manifest as a Bigfoot or 1681 01:10:34,010 --> 01:10:31,140 uh 1682 01:10:35,870 --> 01:10:34,020 you know a moth man or you know whatever 1683 01:10:39,010 --> 01:10:35,880 I I don't know why they would do that 1684 01:10:41,689 --> 01:10:39,020 but it's well why especially in Chicago 1685 01:10:43,550 --> 01:10:41,699 like you know if if you want to get 1686 01:10:46,370 --> 01:10:43,560 mistaken for 1687 01:10:49,010 --> 01:10:46,380 flasher by people who are high on 1688 01:10:51,950 --> 01:10:49,020 goodness knows what Chicago's a good 1689 01:10:54,050 --> 01:10:51,960 place to do it you know it's like it's a 1690 01:10:55,850 --> 01:10:54,060 Mothman I'm like are you sure are you 1691 01:10:58,490 --> 01:10:55,860 what area of town are you in what time 1692 01:11:00,410 --> 01:10:58,500 of night was it you know 1693 01:11:02,030 --> 01:11:00,420 and you know I and I should let 1694 01:11:04,729 --> 01:11:02,040 everybody I mean this certainly isn't 1695 01:11:06,350 --> 01:11:04,739 like an idea that I'm tied to it's just 1696 01:11:08,930 --> 01:11:06,360 you know it's just one of those things 1697 01:11:11,290 --> 01:11:08,940 that I you know you kind of kick around 1698 01:11:14,270 --> 01:11:11,300 a little bit because you know there's 1699 01:11:17,510 --> 01:11:14,280 all kinds of people that believe in like 1700 01:11:19,550 --> 01:11:17,520 uh or or or old religions and things 1701 01:11:21,830 --> 01:11:19,560 that believe in like oral spirits and 1702 01:11:24,050 --> 01:11:21,840 the water spirits and and this or that 1703 01:11:25,910 --> 01:11:24,060 and you know I I don't know I just think 1704 01:11:29,450 --> 01:11:25,920 that um 1705 01:11:32,149 --> 01:11:29,460 you know maybe Bigfoot could some way be 1706 01:11:37,149 --> 01:11:32,159 be tied just you know something like 1707 01:11:39,830 --> 01:11:37,159 that I'm not but is it possible that 1708 01:11:41,270 --> 01:11:39,840 the ones that at least are inconclusive 1709 01:11:42,709 --> 01:11:41,280 and I don't know how many there are out 1710 01:11:45,350 --> 01:11:42,719 there if there are any that are 1711 01:11:47,689 --> 01:11:45,360 inconclusive as far as bones of that 1712 01:11:50,630 --> 01:11:47,699 size and they're not dinosaurs they're 1713 01:11:53,890 --> 01:11:50,640 not you know from a mammoth herb some 1714 01:11:56,930 --> 01:11:53,900 other large uh you know extinct or 1715 01:12:00,169 --> 01:11:56,940 supposedly extinct animal from North 1716 01:12:03,110 --> 01:12:00,179 America is it possible that those bones 1717 01:12:05,390 --> 01:12:03,120 may have been from old Bigfoot 1718 01:12:07,310 --> 01:12:05,400 and mistaken for Giants 1719 01:12:08,870 --> 01:12:07,320 well and that's you know that's kind of 1720 01:12:10,970 --> 01:12:08,880 what I was getting at with the you know 1721 01:12:12,050 --> 01:12:10,980 a lot of the people in the Bigfoot 1722 01:12:13,970 --> 01:12:12,060 Community 1723 01:12:16,910 --> 01:12:13,980 um you know that's that 1724 01:12:19,430 --> 01:12:16,920 they will really draw on 1725 01:12:21,649 --> 01:12:19,440 and be like hey you know there's this 1726 01:12:23,390 --> 01:12:21,659 there's this old newspaper report of the 1727 01:12:26,689 --> 01:12:23,400 you know eight and a half foot skeleton 1728 01:12:28,510 --> 01:12:26,699 could this have been a Bigfoot well 1729 01:12:32,450 --> 01:12:28,520 I don't think so 1730 01:12:36,470 --> 01:12:32,460 personally because you know 1731 01:12:39,290 --> 01:12:36,480 you know if if Bigfoot does exist as as 1732 01:12:44,450 --> 01:12:39,300 something that is a you know is physical 1733 01:12:45,709 --> 01:12:44,460 and you know has bones in a body you 1734 01:12:47,630 --> 01:12:45,719 know then I think it's it's you know 1735 01:12:50,689 --> 01:12:47,640 that it you know it's some sort of great 1736 01:12:51,910 --> 01:12:50,699 ape so I don't think that a Bigfoot is 1737 01:12:56,149 --> 01:12:51,920 going to be 1738 01:12:57,410 --> 01:12:56,159 buried in a um you know a 65 foot tall 1739 01:13:01,610 --> 01:12:57,420 bound 1740 01:13:04,910 --> 01:13:01,620 inside of Vault with um with a copper 1741 01:13:06,649 --> 01:13:04,920 crown on its head and and and copper 1742 01:13:08,330 --> 01:13:06,659 breast plates you know like you find 1743 01:13:11,030 --> 01:13:08,340 with a lot of these other giant 1744 01:13:12,649 --> 01:13:11,040 skeletons so um well how do you know did 1745 01:13:16,070 --> 01:13:12,659 you know what the fashion was like in 20 1746 01:13:18,110 --> 01:13:16,080 you know 20 000 three years ago like 1747 01:13:20,630 --> 01:13:18,120 maybe it was Progressive to wear a gold 1748 01:13:27,310 --> 01:13:20,640 crown maybe he just identified as a 1749 01:13:32,149 --> 01:13:30,350 as you said yourself we don't know and 1750 01:13:34,729 --> 01:13:32,159 we don't know and it's and we don't have 1751 01:13:37,390 --> 01:13:34,739 nobody to ask so I mean no but yeah but 1752 01:13:40,490 --> 01:13:37,400 it's real fun to speculate 1753 01:13:43,729 --> 01:13:40,500 and it's supposed to be fun it's like 1754 01:13:46,070 --> 01:13:43,739 for joint Mythos like you've got 1755 01:13:48,530 --> 01:13:46,080 North America we've it's been done to 1756 01:13:49,729 --> 01:13:48,540 death yeah it's like I'm not I'm not 1757 01:13:51,890 --> 01:13:49,739 gonna go too much into it just because 1758 01:13:53,149 --> 01:13:51,900 like we've I know we've covered it you 1759 01:13:55,910 --> 01:13:53,159 can find it it's been hit over the head 1760 01:13:57,350 --> 01:13:55,920 with it's you know it's it's either like 1761 01:13:58,490 --> 01:13:57,360 hey were these people from Atlantis we 1762 01:14:00,229 --> 01:13:58,500 don't know are these people just like 1763 01:14:03,229 --> 01:14:00,239 here already are they cannibals we don't 1764 01:14:05,570 --> 01:14:03,239 know Lovelock cave etc etc etc the same 1765 01:14:09,050 --> 01:14:05,580 things are are run over a million times 1766 01:14:11,390 --> 01:14:09,060 to death some of the ancient stories out 1767 01:14:16,610 --> 01:14:11,400 of Europe though 1768 01:14:20,209 --> 01:14:16,620 you like oh man okay one of my favorite 1769 01:14:25,030 --> 01:14:21,530 Ireland 1770 01:14:29,450 --> 01:14:25,040 Scotland whale like does the UK give me 1771 01:14:30,890 --> 01:14:29,460 the UK like the big UK founding myth 1772 01:14:32,510 --> 01:14:30,900 with regards to this because I've heard 1773 01:14:34,370 --> 01:14:32,520 it before hearing it from your voice 1774 01:14:36,229 --> 01:14:34,380 with that with that accent that's gonna 1775 01:14:39,410 --> 01:14:36,239 make that's money 1776 01:14:41,930 --> 01:14:39,420 well I mean I'm certainly uh not an 1777 01:14:44,870 --> 01:14:41,940 expert as far as this goes but one of 1778 01:14:48,770 --> 01:14:44,880 one of the myths is um 1779 01:14:51,950 --> 01:14:48,780 you know a a Roman Emperor had a like 1780 01:14:54,470 --> 01:14:51,960 like a real evil daughter right and I 1781 01:14:55,490 --> 01:14:54,480 think she had like 33 sisters and they 1782 01:14:57,770 --> 01:14:55,500 all 1783 01:15:00,649 --> 01:14:57,780 you know like made a pact and killed 1784 01:15:02,810 --> 01:15:00,659 their husbands right so they were exiled 1785 01:15:04,910 --> 01:15:02,820 and you know they they settled in in 1786 01:15:08,810 --> 01:15:04,920 Britain and 1787 01:15:11,330 --> 01:15:08,820 at any rate they um it's real close to 1788 01:15:14,149 --> 01:15:11,340 the Bible story how you know like in the 1789 01:15:17,510 --> 01:15:14,159 Bible it says that the sons of God and 1790 01:15:20,270 --> 01:15:17,520 the daughters of men you know procreated 1791 01:15:22,310 --> 01:15:20,280 and Giants were born kind of in the same 1792 01:15:25,010 --> 01:15:22,320 way that um 1793 01:15:26,709 --> 01:15:25,020 you know these evil daughters 1794 01:15:30,169 --> 01:15:26,719 um you know they 1795 01:15:34,250 --> 01:15:30,179 procreated with demons and um you know 1796 01:15:37,310 --> 01:15:34,260 there was a a race of giants born uh you 1797 01:15:40,970 --> 01:15:37,320 know in ancient Britain and you know 1798 01:15:45,649 --> 01:15:40,980 that is a very you know you you've got a 1799 01:15:47,570 --> 01:15:45,659 almost a similar tale uh like from India 1800 01:15:50,450 --> 01:15:47,580 um you've got um 1801 01:15:54,950 --> 01:15:50,460 that theme you know where 1802 01:15:58,669 --> 01:15:54,960 like a uh like a demons or or Angels or 1803 01:16:01,669 --> 01:15:58,679 this or that procreate with humans 1804 01:16:04,310 --> 01:16:01,679 the resulting Offspring is these giant 1805 01:16:06,470 --> 01:16:04,320 creatures and almost always you know the 1806 01:16:08,169 --> 01:16:06,480 Giants are evil 1807 01:16:11,570 --> 01:16:08,179 um they're 1808 01:16:14,530 --> 01:16:11,580 they create hardship for people you know 1809 01:16:17,689 --> 01:16:14,540 wherever they go and it's it's it's 1810 01:16:19,250 --> 01:16:17,699 worldwide those stories what about some 1811 01:16:20,270 --> 01:16:19,260 of the stories coming out like were 1812 01:16:22,490 --> 01:16:20,280 there any stories coming out of 1813 01:16:25,149 --> 01:16:22,500 Polynesia I know you had mentioned uh 1814 01:16:29,630 --> 01:16:25,159 India but you know like because the 1815 01:16:31,430 --> 01:16:29,640 Southeastern Asia and and Oceana 1816 01:16:33,830 --> 01:16:31,440 yeah there's I mean there's some real 1817 01:16:35,330 --> 01:16:33,840 interesting stories you know from the 1818 01:16:36,410 --> 01:16:35,340 South Pacific 1819 01:16:38,689 --> 01:16:36,420 um 1820 01:16:40,729 --> 01:16:38,699 you know in some of these cases you know 1821 01:16:43,070 --> 01:16:40,739 the giant Tales you know they're really 1822 01:16:46,010 --> 01:16:43,080 far-fetched you know like like giants 1823 01:16:47,870 --> 01:16:46,020 that like stand in the ocean and you 1824 01:16:49,910 --> 01:16:47,880 know their arms stretch up into the 1825 01:16:51,590 --> 01:16:49,920 clouds but then there's also a lot of um 1826 01:16:53,090 --> 01:16:51,600 there's a lot of stories from New 1827 01:16:56,570 --> 01:16:53,100 Zealand 1828 01:16:58,850 --> 01:16:56,580 you know fairly fairly recent times you 1829 01:17:01,729 --> 01:16:58,860 know the of giants uh 1830 01:17:03,890 --> 01:17:01,739 that uh you know their graves were you 1831 01:17:07,729 --> 01:17:03,900 know 14 feet long you know they they 1832 01:17:09,890 --> 01:17:07,739 talk about these uh these giant Chiefs 1833 01:17:13,910 --> 01:17:09,900 that you know that were in charge you 1834 01:17:14,810 --> 01:17:13,920 know like nine feet tall Ten Feet Tall 1835 01:17:19,850 --> 01:17:14,820 um 1836 01:17:22,490 --> 01:17:19,860 the name of it but the guy that wrote it 1837 01:17:26,510 --> 01:17:22,500 James Cowan he talks about 1838 01:17:29,030 --> 01:17:26,520 um a giant Kia rowa you know that that 1839 01:17:32,149 --> 01:17:29,040 does battle you know with another giant 1840 01:17:33,610 --> 01:17:32,159 Chief and it's just it's just it's just 1841 01:17:36,050 --> 01:17:33,620 really 1842 01:17:39,229 --> 01:17:36,060 astounding you know when you think about 1843 01:17:40,970 --> 01:17:39,239 those tales and there's the and also 1844 01:17:44,750 --> 01:17:40,980 like in um 1845 01:17:47,390 --> 01:17:44,760 I forget where this is It's either in uh 1846 01:17:50,270 --> 01:17:47,400 maybe the Marshall Islands 1847 01:17:52,850 --> 01:17:50,280 try anyway whatever one of those uh you 1848 01:17:57,290 --> 01:17:52,860 know Island chains in the South Pacific 1849 01:18:00,290 --> 01:17:57,300 there's this tale where these Giants 1850 01:18:01,430 --> 01:18:00,300 wash ashore like in a hollowed-out 1851 01:18:04,310 --> 01:18:01,440 Timber 1852 01:18:07,070 --> 01:18:04,320 and like as soon as they wash up on 1853 01:18:08,990 --> 01:18:07,080 shore you know the people you know might 1854 01:18:12,350 --> 01:18:09,000 kill them 1855 01:18:15,169 --> 01:18:12,360 an interesting thing also like from Peru 1856 01:18:18,229 --> 01:18:15,179 and Ecuador there's these Tales of these 1857 01:18:20,810 --> 01:18:18,239 Giants that uh you know buy boats 1858 01:18:22,910 --> 01:18:20,820 um you know come in and you know the 1859 01:18:25,970 --> 01:18:22,920 people didn't kill them you know the 1860 01:18:27,649 --> 01:18:25,980 Giants washed up on shore on on boats 1861 01:18:30,290 --> 01:18:27,659 and then and then they settled and 1862 01:18:32,990 --> 01:18:30,300 subjugated everybody but I just I just 1863 01:18:35,810 --> 01:18:33,000 find it interesting that you know Worlds 1864 01:18:37,970 --> 01:18:35,820 Apart there's these Tales of these giant 1865 01:18:40,610 --> 01:18:37,980 people you know coming up on boats and 1866 01:18:42,709 --> 01:18:40,620 you know the easy way out would be to oh 1867 01:18:45,950 --> 01:18:42,719 you know that's just Vikings well you 1868 01:18:48,950 --> 01:18:45,960 know I mean yeah maybe maybe the I don't 1869 01:18:52,189 --> 01:18:48,960 really know that the Polynesian dudes or 1870 01:18:54,410 --> 01:18:52,199 are pretty big I don't know that uh you 1871 01:18:56,570 --> 01:18:54,420 know that the Vikings were any bigger 1872 01:18:58,370 --> 01:18:56,580 than Polynesian guys and even if they 1873 01:18:59,750 --> 01:18:58,380 were I mean you know they weren't 10 1874 01:19:03,110 --> 01:18:59,760 feet tall 1875 01:19:05,510 --> 01:19:03,120 it it was what was the average like 1876 01:19:08,630 --> 01:19:05,520 height are we talking I you said seven 1877 01:19:11,510 --> 01:19:08,640 to like 15 I've seen estimations some as 1878 01:19:14,149 --> 01:19:11,520 high as 25 or 30. you know it just 1879 01:19:16,970 --> 01:19:14,159 depends on the story it really does it 1880 01:19:20,209 --> 01:19:16,980 just depends on the story like um you 1881 01:19:23,390 --> 01:19:20,219 know in in Patagonia early on you know 1882 01:19:25,310 --> 01:19:23,400 you're talking you know 15 1600s you 1883 01:19:27,350 --> 01:19:25,320 know the tales the people being the 1884 01:19:29,030 --> 01:19:27,360 giant people being you know between 10 1885 01:19:32,209 --> 01:19:29,040 and 12 feet tall 1886 01:19:34,550 --> 01:19:32,219 you know as you get as you get further 1887 01:19:36,470 --> 01:19:34,560 down closer to our day it's more you 1888 01:19:38,330 --> 01:19:36,480 know seven seven and a half so it really 1889 01:19:40,850 --> 01:19:38,340 kind of just depends on the particular 1890 01:19:43,610 --> 01:19:40,860 tail and you know where it's from and 1891 01:19:45,830 --> 01:19:43,620 and who told it what was the motivation 1892 01:19:46,870 --> 01:19:45,840 behind writing the book like obviously 1893 01:19:49,790 --> 01:19:46,880 you're not 1894 01:19:51,410 --> 01:19:49,800 necessarily trying to solve the mystery 1895 01:19:53,450 --> 01:19:51,420 because as we said we've got no one to 1896 01:19:56,450 --> 01:19:53,460 really ask and we can speculate I think 1897 01:19:58,850 --> 01:19:56,460 one of the conversations we had 1898 01:19:59,570 --> 01:19:58,860 basically came to the determination it's 1899 01:20:01,610 --> 01:19:59,580 like 1900 01:20:05,350 --> 01:20:01,620 three things the three possibilities 1901 01:20:08,270 --> 01:20:05,360 it's either BS 1902 01:20:13,070 --> 01:20:08,280 giant humans with like really good genes 1903 01:20:16,970 --> 01:20:13,080 or freaking aliens yeah well that's so I 1904 01:20:19,790 --> 01:20:16,980 think my my motivation for riding it was 1905 01:20:20,750 --> 01:20:19,800 this is one of those things like 1906 01:20:23,149 --> 01:20:20,760 um 1907 01:20:24,410 --> 01:20:23,159 so I I've always written about a lot of 1908 01:20:26,510 --> 01:20:24,420 different things I mean I've never 1909 01:20:29,630 --> 01:20:26,520 wanted to be like 1910 01:20:33,530 --> 01:20:29,640 the Bigfoot guy or or the ghost on her 1911 01:20:35,630 --> 01:20:33,540 or you know the lake monster guy I have 1912 01:20:37,729 --> 01:20:35,640 a wide range of Interest 1913 01:20:40,370 --> 01:20:37,739 and in a lot of ways a lot of these 1914 01:20:45,830 --> 01:20:40,380 things are are interconnected I mean you 1915 01:20:48,950 --> 01:20:45,840 find that over and over and with Giants 1916 01:20:50,810 --> 01:20:48,960 I mean what you find with giants I mean 1917 01:20:52,669 --> 01:20:50,820 that like they kind of touch on 1918 01:20:54,770 --> 01:20:52,679 everything I mean like like we were 1919 01:20:56,930 --> 01:20:54,780 talking earlier how you know the Bigfoot 1920 01:20:59,689 --> 01:20:56,940 Community Champions a lot of these old 1921 01:21:01,790 --> 01:20:59,699 newspaper reports of uh you know giant 1922 01:21:03,050 --> 01:21:01,800 skeletal fines 1923 01:21:06,229 --> 01:21:03,060 um 1924 01:21:08,090 --> 01:21:06,239 you know Zechariah sitch and Eric Von 1925 01:21:10,669 --> 01:21:08,100 danikin wrote about 1926 01:21:13,010 --> 01:21:10,679 um you know the um you know the the 1927 01:21:14,590 --> 01:21:13,020 Nephilim and the in the Book of Genesis 1928 01:21:17,630 --> 01:21:14,600 and and you know 1929 01:21:20,270 --> 01:21:17,640 speculated that you know like if you 1930 01:21:22,910 --> 01:21:20,280 you know substitute the word alien for 1931 01:21:25,010 --> 01:21:22,920 Angel well there you have it you know 1932 01:21:31,430 --> 01:21:25,020 and 1933 01:21:34,430 --> 01:21:31,440 coming coming from a uh you know a 1934 01:21:36,050 --> 01:21:34,440 Pentecostal uh background as a youth you 1935 01:21:38,950 --> 01:21:36,060 know the um 1936 01:21:41,750 --> 01:21:38,960 it's not something it's real 1937 01:21:43,010 --> 01:21:41,760 you know the the real in-depth stuff 1938 01:21:44,870 --> 01:21:43,020 with giants I mean it's not just 1939 01:21:47,570 --> 01:21:44,880 something you get in your basic Sunday 1940 01:21:50,270 --> 01:21:47,580 school class it's it's sort of inside 1941 01:21:52,310 --> 01:21:50,280 baseball stuff right but if you if you 1942 01:21:55,970 --> 01:21:52,320 do dive into it like a lot of those 1943 01:21:59,750 --> 01:21:55,980 folks uh you know believe that um 1944 01:22:03,410 --> 01:21:59,760 the the spirits of of these deceased 1945 01:22:05,390 --> 01:22:03,420 Giants are behind a lot of bad [\h__\h] you 1946 01:22:07,189 --> 01:22:05,400 know whether kind of kind of like I was 1947 01:22:09,410 --> 01:22:07,199 talking about earlier 1948 01:22:11,209 --> 01:22:09,420 you know they're just sort of like the 1949 01:22:14,570 --> 01:22:11,219 the spirits of the Giants are sort of 1950 01:22:18,290 --> 01:22:14,580 like demons floating around so what I'm 1951 01:22:21,050 --> 01:22:18,300 getting at is Giants just 1952 01:22:23,209 --> 01:22:21,060 but it just sort of like ties like 1953 01:22:26,090 --> 01:22:23,219 everything together no matter what kind 1954 01:22:27,410 --> 01:22:26,100 of weird or even if you're just like you 1955 01:22:30,470 --> 01:22:27,420 know even if you don't really care that 1956 01:22:32,030 --> 01:22:30,480 much about Bigfoot or or whatever Von 1957 01:22:34,430 --> 01:22:32,040 daniken wrote about I mean if you're 1958 01:22:37,310 --> 01:22:34,440 just a guy that uh is just kind of into 1959 01:22:39,530 --> 01:22:37,320 into conspiracy stuff well well there 1960 01:22:42,169 --> 01:22:39,540 you go because uh you know it don't take 1961 01:22:44,570 --> 01:22:42,179 much digging to to figure out that uh 1962 01:22:46,910 --> 01:22:44,580 that the Smithsonian might have uh 1963 01:22:49,610 --> 01:22:46,920 hidden or destroyed a bunch of giant 1964 01:22:52,130 --> 01:22:49,620 bones so no matter what kind of weird 1965 01:22:55,130 --> 01:22:52,140 angle you're coming from you're going to 1966 01:22:57,470 --> 01:22:55,140 run into Giants sooner or later so you 1967 01:22:59,209 --> 01:22:57,480 know that all just really fascinated me 1968 01:23:03,830 --> 01:22:59,219 and 1969 01:23:06,530 --> 01:23:03,840 fascination goes back to you know being 1970 01:23:08,750 --> 01:23:06,540 a kid in Sunday school you know and 1971 01:23:10,370 --> 01:23:08,760 asking my Sunday school teacher you know 1972 01:23:12,770 --> 01:23:10,380 like um 1973 01:23:15,590 --> 01:23:12,780 you know how much a cube it was because 1974 01:23:17,870 --> 01:23:15,600 I was you know we were doing the David 1975 01:23:20,570 --> 01:23:17,880 and Goliath story and I'm I'm trying to 1976 01:23:23,510 --> 01:23:20,580 calculate in my in my head like like how 1977 01:23:25,490 --> 01:23:23,520 tall he was and you know in my Sunday 1978 01:23:29,209 --> 01:23:25,500 school teacher well I don't really know 1979 01:23:31,850 --> 01:23:29,219 but I've heard uh preachers say that uh 1980 01:23:34,610 --> 01:23:31,860 Goliath was around 10 feet tall you know 1981 01:23:35,450 --> 01:23:34,620 so I'm just kind of thinking about that 1982 01:23:37,310 --> 01:23:35,460 and 1983 01:23:39,410 --> 01:23:37,320 I thought about the height of the 1984 01:23:42,050 --> 01:23:39,420 basketball rim out in the parking lot 1985 01:23:44,930 --> 01:23:42,060 and I'm just like oh my goodness and and 1986 01:23:47,270 --> 01:23:44,940 it just really uh really fascinated me 1987 01:23:50,689 --> 01:23:47,280 when I was a kid you never were able to 1988 01:23:54,410 --> 01:23:50,699 dunk I'm guessing no never and you know 1989 01:23:57,470 --> 01:23:54,420 what I even uh I was with the uh several 1990 01:24:00,229 --> 01:23:57,480 years ago me and the kids uh one of my 1991 01:24:02,870 --> 01:24:00,239 uh nephews had a birthday party at one 1992 01:24:04,250 --> 01:24:02,880 of those trampoline one of those I don't 1993 01:24:05,870 --> 01:24:04,260 know I don't even know the name of it 1994 01:24:08,689 --> 01:24:05,880 but it was some some place it's just 1995 01:24:11,209 --> 01:24:08,699 like a just like this huge gym it's just 1996 01:24:13,310 --> 01:24:11,219 all trampolines and they had uh they had 1997 01:24:16,189 --> 01:24:13,320 some basketball hoops you know so like 1998 01:24:18,590 --> 01:24:16,199 oh man I am going to win middle dunk 1999 01:24:21,110 --> 01:24:18,600 and I bounce as hard as I could on the 2000 01:24:23,450 --> 01:24:21,120 trampoline and I hit the rim with the 2001 01:24:26,209 --> 01:24:23,460 ball a couple times but it never went in 2002 01:24:29,390 --> 01:24:26,219 I never could dunk even on a trampoline 2003 01:24:32,330 --> 01:24:29,400 at least you tried because I tried like 2004 01:24:34,550 --> 01:24:32,340 hell man I mean I freaking tried so hard 2005 01:24:37,850 --> 01:24:34,560 but I could not dunk it even on a 2006 01:24:40,490 --> 01:24:37,860 trampoline it was sad it was so sad well 2007 01:24:42,530 --> 01:24:40,500 I I can't jump at all so you even with a 2008 01:24:44,209 --> 01:24:42,540 trampoline you still got me on that uh I 2009 01:24:46,070 --> 01:24:44,219 just had it in my mind man I was just 2010 01:24:49,550 --> 01:24:46,080 gonna do this and I was gonna do a 2011 01:24:51,649 --> 01:24:49,560 windmill dunk I mean just like and you 2012 01:24:57,970 --> 01:24:51,659 know like a backboard breaking kind of 2013 01:25:02,570 --> 01:25:00,590 it's you know friend of the family and 2014 01:25:05,270 --> 01:25:02,580 niece or nephew yeah it was uh one of my 2015 01:25:07,490 --> 01:25:05,280 uh one of my nephews so you know that 2016 01:25:08,990 --> 01:25:07,500 they were doing it's like the whole 2017 01:25:11,689 --> 01:25:09,000 family was there so we just kind of 2018 01:25:14,330 --> 01:25:11,699 split off and I think me and my son 2019 01:25:16,610 --> 01:25:14,340 I I was tossing the ball to him he was 2020 01:25:20,330 --> 01:25:16,620 doing some alley-oop dunks you know but 2021 01:25:23,330 --> 01:25:20,340 I I couldn't do it man just I I tried so 2022 01:25:24,890 --> 01:25:23,340 hard I couldn't dunk it I'm I'm going to 2023 01:25:26,390 --> 01:25:24,900 make the Assumption and I know if you 2024 01:25:28,689 --> 01:25:26,400 assume you can make an ass out of you 2025 01:25:32,750 --> 01:25:28,699 and me uh 2026 01:25:34,310 --> 01:25:32,760 given your disposition as an individual 2027 01:25:36,530 --> 01:25:34,320 were you the only parent on the 2028 01:25:39,649 --> 01:25:36,540 trampolines 2029 01:25:43,310 --> 01:25:39,659 let's see no you know my wife uh jumped 2030 01:25:45,350 --> 01:25:43,320 around heck even my uh my stepdad he was 2031 01:25:47,209 --> 01:25:45,360 he was bouncing around with some too so 2032 01:25:49,610 --> 01:25:47,219 there were there were I wasn't the only 2033 01:25:51,770 --> 01:25:49,620 one okay because I I always look at it 2034 01:25:54,430 --> 01:25:51,780 like fun stuff like that I always gotta 2035 01:25:57,530 --> 01:25:54,440 try you know I I take mine 2036 01:25:59,510 --> 01:25:57,540 dude there was like as many adults as 2037 01:26:00,890 --> 01:25:59,520 kids because that's one of those things 2038 01:26:03,290 --> 01:26:00,900 that you can 2039 01:26:05,030 --> 01:26:03,300 you know like you you can kind of let 2040 01:26:06,830 --> 01:26:05,040 that kid in you go because I mean 2041 01:26:08,689 --> 01:26:06,840 they're growing up man if you had a 2042 01:26:11,330 --> 01:26:08,699 buddy that had a trampoline man there 2043 01:26:12,830 --> 01:26:11,340 was nothing more fun than that and back 2044 01:26:14,990 --> 01:26:12,840 in those days man you didn't have those 2045 01:26:17,090 --> 01:26:15,000 stupid guards on the side I mean you 2046 01:26:19,250 --> 01:26:17,100 could you could bounce as high as you 2047 01:26:22,430 --> 01:26:19,260 could and land in the yard and I mean it 2048 01:26:24,410 --> 01:26:22,440 was really it was a lot of fun but uh I 2049 01:26:26,450 --> 01:26:24,420 could not dunk you know since those 2050 01:26:29,450 --> 01:26:26,460 safety measures have been put in place 2051 01:26:32,689 --> 01:26:29,460 people call them fun Killers but hey 2052 01:26:35,570 --> 01:26:32,699 injuries among kids have gone down 2053 01:26:37,970 --> 01:26:35,580 which that's time and stress and you 2054 01:26:40,430 --> 01:26:37,980 know Hospital oh yeah you know but 2055 01:26:41,689 --> 01:26:40,440 there's nothing like uh jumping 10 feet 2056 01:26:43,129 --> 01:26:41,699 in the air and then landing on your arm 2057 01:26:45,790 --> 01:26:43,139 and you're like oh it's back funny the 2058 01:26:48,110 --> 01:26:45,800 wrong way and gift s 2059 01:26:51,950 --> 01:26:48,120 don't tell Mom you're fine you're fine 2060 01:26:57,110 --> 01:26:51,960 you're fine yeah somebody just shut up 2061 01:26:58,669 --> 01:26:57,120 oh man I'm uh Too Many Memories it's you 2062 01:27:01,370 --> 01:26:58,679 know as long as you're not in in company 2063 01:27:03,410 --> 01:27:01,380 or in fact you know a family or like a a 2064 01:27:05,390 --> 01:27:03,420 parent group where you're the only one 2065 01:27:06,590 --> 01:27:05,400 having fun and everyone else is just 2066 01:27:09,530 --> 01:27:06,600 like so they were like oh God it's 2067 01:27:11,810 --> 01:27:09,540 Denver again like yeah no nothing like 2068 01:27:13,970 --> 01:27:11,820 that you know I mean I'm not going to be 2069 01:27:16,669 --> 01:27:13,980 the creepy dude on the trampoline it's 2070 01:27:19,490 --> 01:27:16,679 just me and like you know 30 kids like 2071 01:27:21,649 --> 01:27:19,500 yeah like you know looking like the dude 2072 01:27:23,810 --> 01:27:21,659 that's hey you want to come and see my 2073 01:27:25,970 --> 01:27:23,820 puppy you know I'm not gonna be that guy 2074 01:27:27,830 --> 01:27:25,980 you know so if other adults are out 2075 01:27:28,550 --> 01:27:27,840 there I'll get out there too but I'm not 2076 01:27:30,470 --> 01:27:28,560 gonna 2077 01:27:31,250 --> 01:27:30,480 I'm not going to be the first one you 2078 01:27:36,590 --> 01:27:31,260 know 2079 01:27:39,290 --> 01:27:36,600 that's why you have to at least 2080 01:27:42,169 --> 01:27:39,300 pick your own spot your own trampoline 2081 01:27:44,570 --> 01:27:42,179 and if other kids come on to that you do 2082 01:27:46,490 --> 01:27:44,580 the bounce where they just go there's no 2083 01:27:49,310 --> 01:27:46,500 problem of course then you're looking 2084 01:27:52,129 --> 01:27:49,320 like you're the guy who throws up 2085 01:27:56,570 --> 01:27:52,139 against around it's like which is worse 2086 01:27:58,189 --> 01:27:56,580 yeah I don't know it's like oh it's like 2087 01:28:00,950 --> 01:27:58,199 man he's got a concussion it's like well 2088 01:28:03,550 --> 01:28:00,960 it could have been worse you know a lot 2089 01:28:09,110 --> 01:28:06,410 like besides religion and especially 2090 01:28:11,570 --> 01:28:09,120 dealing with you know Pentecostal uh 2091 01:28:13,370 --> 01:28:11,580 denominations and Catholicism is its own 2092 01:28:16,850 --> 01:28:13,380 thing and you've got your your Baptists 2093 01:28:18,890 --> 01:28:16,860 and you know what have you like what's 2094 01:28:21,050 --> 01:28:18,900 the main cultural significance that 2095 01:28:23,390 --> 01:28:21,060 you've seen that has come out of the 2096 01:28:29,090 --> 01:28:23,400 giant Mythos not so much in popular 2097 01:28:32,270 --> 01:28:29,100 culture but in terms of just 2098 01:28:33,590 --> 01:28:32,280 like like just in terms of like uh 2099 01:28:35,270 --> 01:28:33,600 I'm going to say at least an 2100 01:28:38,149 --> 01:28:35,280 understanding of the past or trying to 2101 01:28:41,510 --> 01:28:38,159 understand the past or uh at least 2102 01:28:43,910 --> 01:28:41,520 looking at it as myth versus a you know 2103 01:28:46,010 --> 01:28:43,920 a possibility or a potential 2104 01:28:49,490 --> 01:28:46,020 um like scientists they're gonna say 2105 01:28:51,350 --> 01:28:49,500 it's never happened it was a hoax or if 2106 01:28:52,910 --> 01:28:51,360 somebody found some bone and you got 2107 01:28:56,030 --> 01:28:52,920 your you know you're you're far out 2108 01:29:00,169 --> 01:28:56,040 there are individuals who will claim its 2109 01:29:01,850 --> 01:29:00,179 space aliens from from Percy I8 and 2110 01:29:03,830 --> 01:29:01,860 you know they're 2111 01:29:05,629 --> 01:29:03,840 it's they're from the year three 2112 01:29:07,370 --> 01:29:05,639 thousand our time like they're the 2113 01:29:11,330 --> 01:29:07,380 possibilities are endlessly as people 2114 01:29:14,090 --> 01:29:11,340 want to be able to take it have you seen 2115 01:29:16,550 --> 01:29:14,100 it is a much uh larger effect now 2116 01:29:18,950 --> 01:29:16,560 compared to then 2117 01:29:20,870 --> 01:29:18,960 um and like how have you seen it change 2118 01:29:23,629 --> 01:29:20,880 since the book has come out 2119 01:29:26,209 --> 01:29:23,639 well I haven't really noticed any sort 2120 01:29:27,470 --> 01:29:26,219 of change since you know since the book 2121 01:29:31,490 --> 01:29:27,480 came out 2122 01:29:36,890 --> 01:29:33,290 and you know it's not like I wrote 2123 01:29:39,229 --> 01:29:36,900 Chariots of the Gods here and sold you 2124 01:29:41,030 --> 01:29:39,239 know millions of copies or anything you 2125 01:29:43,490 --> 01:29:41,040 know it's just you know the book came 2126 01:29:46,490 --> 01:29:43,500 out with a whimper and you know it is 2127 01:29:48,950 --> 01:29:46,500 what it is but um as far as I would say 2128 01:29:50,930 --> 01:29:48,960 the big cultural change really goes back 2129 01:29:53,990 --> 01:29:50,940 though 2130 01:29:57,410 --> 01:29:54,000 I would say like you know way before I 2131 01:30:00,229 --> 01:29:57,420 was even born right and and one thing I 2132 01:30:03,110 --> 01:30:00,239 point to like with all of these uh giant 2133 01:30:05,629 --> 01:30:03,120 bones um and you know it it wouldn't 2134 01:30:09,410 --> 01:30:05,639 take anything for any of you listening 2135 01:30:11,470 --> 01:30:09,420 out there I mean sit yourself go on um 2136 01:30:13,250 --> 01:30:11,480 what is it that the library of 2137 01:30:16,430 --> 01:30:13,260 congress.gov where you can do their 2138 01:30:20,330 --> 01:30:16,440 newspaper searches or you know on on 2139 01:30:22,490 --> 01:30:20,340 Google archive or or you know uh 2140 01:30:25,090 --> 01:30:22,500 newspaper stock I like any of those old 2141 01:30:27,590 --> 01:30:25,100 uh places that uh you know have these uh 2142 01:30:29,930 --> 01:30:27,600 archived newspapers I mean just find 2143 01:30:32,810 --> 01:30:29,940 dozens and dozens and dozens of these 2144 01:30:35,050 --> 01:30:32,820 old um discoveries of giant bones and 2145 01:30:38,149 --> 01:30:35,060 what you see is 2146 01:30:40,189 --> 01:30:38,159 in most instances I mean they're they're 2147 01:30:44,209 --> 01:30:40,199 written about 2148 01:30:46,010 --> 01:30:44,219 very matter-of-factly and and what I 2149 01:30:47,510 --> 01:30:46,020 mean by that is a lot of times it's just 2150 01:30:49,790 --> 01:30:47,520 it's just um 2151 01:30:51,950 --> 01:30:49,800 not really a big deal you know you'll 2152 01:30:55,490 --> 01:30:51,960 you'll just see like just a little blurb 2153 01:30:58,070 --> 01:30:55,500 right like um like Road workers in 2154 01:31:01,729 --> 01:30:58,080 Sullivan County Virginia 2155 01:31:03,709 --> 01:31:01,739 um under some 36 inch thigh bone and 2156 01:31:06,950 --> 01:31:03,719 that's like it it's just everything is 2157 01:31:10,729 --> 01:31:06,960 is like very matter of fact 2158 01:31:14,510 --> 01:31:10,739 and I think the reason for that is um 2159 01:31:21,590 --> 01:31:17,270 you know the the in in the U.S at least 2160 01:31:24,770 --> 01:31:21,600 I mean it it and you know it used to be 2161 01:31:27,830 --> 01:31:24,780 uh very much that uh people you know 2162 01:31:29,810 --> 01:31:27,840 believed in a literal interpretation of 2163 01:31:31,550 --> 01:31:29,820 the Bible that's um 2164 01:31:34,729 --> 01:31:31,560 that's the exception to the rule 2165 01:31:35,570 --> 01:31:34,739 nowadays right but it was just kind of 2166 01:31:38,750 --> 01:31:35,580 um 2167 01:31:40,250 --> 01:31:38,760 you know like like yeah and and then a 2168 01:31:42,050 --> 01:31:40,260 lot of the the papers it'll be there 2169 01:31:44,209 --> 01:31:42,060 were giants on the earth in those days 2170 01:31:47,390 --> 01:31:44,219 you know like right out of Genesis 6 4 2171 01:31:49,310 --> 01:31:47,400 because people believed um they were 2172 01:31:51,169 --> 01:31:49,320 more Bible believing in those days and 2173 01:31:53,450 --> 01:31:51,179 it's just kind of like well yeah of 2174 01:31:57,290 --> 01:31:53,460 course there there were giants back then 2175 01:31:58,250 --> 01:31:57,300 the Bible says so you know now of course 2176 01:32:00,830 --> 01:31:58,260 um 2177 01:32:04,129 --> 01:32:00,840 a lot of that stuff is is looking at is 2178 01:32:06,649 --> 01:32:04,139 as just myth and um so I think that 2179 01:32:10,669 --> 01:32:06,659 that's probably the the biggest 2180 01:32:11,870 --> 01:32:10,679 um cultural shift as far as as Giants go 2181 01:32:14,390 --> 01:32:11,880 and even 2182 01:32:16,790 --> 01:32:14,400 you know even in a lot of um 2183 01:32:19,910 --> 01:32:16,800 you know what you would call 2184 01:32:22,910 --> 01:32:19,920 um Evangelical or or you know what you'd 2185 01:32:25,610 --> 01:32:22,920 say Bible believe in churches um 2186 01:32:27,110 --> 01:32:25,620 you know I mean a lot of them you know 2187 01:32:29,810 --> 01:32:27,120 don't really even 2188 01:32:31,970 --> 01:32:29,820 that's sort of like the uh what I want 2189 01:32:33,590 --> 01:32:31,980 to say like like the tales of giants 2190 01:32:36,110 --> 01:32:33,600 things like that that's almost sort of 2191 01:32:37,970 --> 01:32:36,120 like the the crazy uncle over at 2192 01:32:40,370 --> 01:32:37,980 Thanksgiving right like nobody really 2193 01:32:41,930 --> 01:32:40,380 wants to you know once you know wants to 2194 01:32:42,709 --> 01:32:41,940 talk to him because 2195 01:32:45,050 --> 01:32:42,719 um 2196 01:32:48,950 --> 01:32:45,060 you know it's kind of I guess kind of 2197 01:32:52,310 --> 01:32:48,960 hard to explain that to um you know to 2198 01:32:53,470 --> 01:32:52,320 to uh to a kid in high school they were 2199 01:32:55,970 --> 01:32:53,480 gonna say Canadian 2200 01:32:58,490 --> 01:32:55,980 Thanksgiving too it's a month earlier 2201 01:32:59,450 --> 01:32:58,500 but we haven't you know 2202 01:33:01,790 --> 01:32:59,460 um 2203 01:33:04,430 --> 01:33:01,800 it 2204 01:33:07,550 --> 01:33:04,440 right like I get that uh 2205 01:33:09,470 --> 01:33:07,560 have you noticed and like I've kind of 2206 01:33:11,090 --> 01:33:09,480 being out of the game a little bit but 2207 01:33:12,890 --> 01:33:11,100 kind of like yeah yeah you get your toe 2208 01:33:14,629 --> 01:33:12,900 dipped into it every now and again you 2209 01:33:17,090 --> 01:33:14,639 things crawl up on your Facebook feed 2210 01:33:19,790 --> 01:33:17,100 and you see what people have in mind and 2211 01:33:21,050 --> 01:33:19,800 what's being talked about and I've 2212 01:33:22,610 --> 01:33:21,060 noticed and I'm not sure if it's just 2213 01:33:25,970 --> 01:33:22,620 because I haven't really been on 2214 01:33:27,770 --> 01:33:25,980 Facebook a lot or they've changed 2215 01:33:31,629 --> 01:33:27,780 like social media channels that they're 2216 01:33:34,209 --> 01:33:31,639 talking on the more 2217 01:33:37,970 --> 01:33:34,219 sensationalized position 2218 01:33:39,470 --> 01:33:37,980 on Giants or the giant Mythos like yo 2219 01:33:41,750 --> 01:33:39,480 those 2220 01:33:43,970 --> 01:33:41,760 um that range of 2221 01:33:45,830 --> 01:33:43,980 stories that have been talked about in 2222 01:33:48,169 --> 01:33:45,840 Ancient Aliens and all the various other 2223 01:33:49,850 --> 01:33:48,179 shows that's all you see right no it's 2224 01:33:52,129 --> 01:33:49,860 it's died like that's what died down 2225 01:33:55,250 --> 01:33:52,139 it's non-existent everything everything 2226 01:33:58,010 --> 01:33:55,260 I have seen has and pretty much any 2227 01:34:00,830 --> 01:33:58,020 field has gone straight into the 2228 01:34:02,149 --> 01:34:00,840 conspiratorial mind it's like the 2229 01:34:04,490 --> 01:34:02,159 subject and then they'll tie it into 2230 01:34:06,290 --> 01:34:04,500 some type of conspiracy theory of 2231 01:34:10,310 --> 01:34:06,300 government or you know whatever and then 2232 01:34:12,649 --> 01:34:10,320 they'll move on to something else and I 2233 01:34:13,850 --> 01:34:12,659 I'm not I'm not sure if it's just based 2234 01:34:16,250 --> 01:34:13,860 on the algorithm but like I haven't 2235 01:34:17,810 --> 01:34:16,260 really seen it that much where you know 2236 01:34:19,669 --> 01:34:17,820 back in the day of course the show was 2237 01:34:22,370 --> 01:34:19,679 happening like two times a week plus 2238 01:34:26,570 --> 01:34:22,380 however many specials it was a lot more 2239 01:34:28,189 --> 01:34:26,580 prevalent then and even from you know 2240 01:34:30,050 --> 01:34:28,199 any of the 2241 01:34:31,669 --> 01:34:30,060 I'm gonna say Public public online 2242 01:34:34,250 --> 01:34:31,679 Publications 2243 01:34:37,070 --> 01:34:34,260 um it it's it's different now I I don't 2244 01:34:38,870 --> 01:34:37,080 know if that is the curated internet 2245 01:34:41,090 --> 01:34:38,880 that's being shown based on search 2246 01:34:43,669 --> 01:34:41,100 history or based on yeah you know like 2247 01:34:46,610 --> 01:34:43,679 like wow you're searching a lot for how 2248 01:34:48,830 --> 01:34:46,620 to smoke back bacon in your barbecue 2249 01:34:50,270 --> 01:34:48,840 kind of thing so like here's you know 2250 01:34:51,410 --> 01:34:50,280 all the talk about that or anything that 2251 01:34:54,290 --> 01:34:51,420 could potentially be related to it 2252 01:34:58,370 --> 01:34:54,300 versus oh here's some cool stuff that 2253 01:34:59,750 --> 01:34:58,380 you know is is we found uh like from 2254 01:35:01,729 --> 01:34:59,760 from your side 2255 01:35:03,410 --> 01:35:01,739 like whether it's Giants whether it's 2256 01:35:06,410 --> 01:35:03,420 it's uh 2257 01:35:08,270 --> 01:35:06,420 you know cryptozoology has like is 2258 01:35:09,350 --> 01:35:08,280 there's one segment over the other that 2259 01:35:11,510 --> 01:35:09,360 has really 2260 01:35:13,370 --> 01:35:11,520 I'm gonna stay Stayed the same or 2261 01:35:15,470 --> 01:35:13,380 consistent with in terms of its tone and 2262 01:35:18,410 --> 01:35:15,480 Reporting or have you noticed more of a 2263 01:35:19,790 --> 01:35:18,420 shift in one area to another 2264 01:35:21,950 --> 01:35:19,800 no you know I hadn't really thought 2265 01:35:26,330 --> 01:35:21,960 about it but um 2266 01:35:29,270 --> 01:35:26,340 yeah I mean it kind of um 2267 01:35:31,490 --> 01:35:29,280 kind of makes sense what you're saying 2268 01:35:37,370 --> 01:35:33,709 as far as uh 2269 01:35:39,830 --> 01:35:37,380 like the giant stuff that comes across 2270 01:35:42,350 --> 01:35:39,840 my feet I mean most of what I see 2271 01:35:46,129 --> 01:35:42,360 nowadays 2272 01:35:49,490 --> 01:35:46,139 is really more like the uh kind of like 2273 01:35:51,050 --> 01:35:49,500 the more outlandish stuff like like for 2274 01:35:54,410 --> 01:35:51,060 every 2275 01:35:56,510 --> 01:35:54,420 good or maybe plausible 2276 01:35:59,209 --> 01:35:56,520 um type deal you know you'll see 2277 01:36:01,550 --> 01:35:59,219 something like uh about the giant of 2278 01:36:03,050 --> 01:36:01,560 Kandahar you know we're uh we're 2279 01:36:06,590 --> 01:36:03,060 supposedly the 2280 01:36:09,350 --> 01:36:06,600 uh Special Forces Unit went into a cave 2281 01:36:12,169 --> 01:36:09,360 in Afghanistan and you know killed this 2282 01:36:14,510 --> 01:36:12,179 15-foot tall Giant and the government's 2283 01:36:16,370 --> 01:36:14,520 covered it up and blah blah blah you 2284 01:36:18,550 --> 01:36:16,380 know yeah you know the kind of stuff 2285 01:36:21,590 --> 01:36:18,560 like that um 2286 01:36:23,750 --> 01:36:21,600 that was the old website back in the day 2287 01:36:26,209 --> 01:36:23,760 well this you know actually the first 2288 01:36:28,550 --> 01:36:26,219 time I heard that story I was uh you 2289 01:36:30,530 --> 01:36:28,560 know driving in into work in the middle 2290 01:36:34,070 --> 01:36:30,540 of the night and it was on Coastal Coast 2291 01:36:37,610 --> 01:36:34,080 was the first time I heard and I don't I 2292 01:36:39,350 --> 01:36:37,620 I you know I uh it's one of those things 2293 01:36:43,070 --> 01:36:39,360 that um 2294 01:36:46,610 --> 01:36:43,080 not a real big believer in but 2295 01:36:48,830 --> 01:36:46,620 um but you know I for like for every 2296 01:36:51,050 --> 01:36:48,840 you know I really don't see a whole lot 2297 01:36:53,689 --> 01:36:51,060 as far as Giants go um 2298 01:36:56,030 --> 01:36:53,699 stuff come across my feed as I used to 2299 01:36:58,310 --> 01:36:56,040 unless it's something you know like real 2300 01:36:59,570 --> 01:36:58,320 outlandish like that I see that and I 2301 01:37:02,330 --> 01:36:59,580 don't know I mean I think some of that 2302 01:37:04,550 --> 01:37:02,340 outlandish stuff just you know gets more 2303 01:37:06,709 --> 01:37:04,560 clicks and you know how it is it's like 2304 01:37:08,990 --> 01:37:06,719 with as far as clicks go the rich get 2305 01:37:11,990 --> 01:37:09,000 richer the poorer get poorer you know it 2306 01:37:14,629 --> 01:37:12,000 just kind of you know my my Facebook 2307 01:37:17,149 --> 01:37:14,639 reach has uh God I had I mean I've got 2308 01:37:20,530 --> 01:37:17,159 more followers on my page now but I had 2309 01:37:23,990 --> 01:37:20,540 way more interactions you know in 2016 2310 01:37:25,610 --> 01:37:24,000 2017 than I do now like yeah unless 2311 01:37:27,590 --> 01:37:25,620 you're doing live you you know like 2312 01:37:30,649 --> 01:37:27,600 you're you're right for real I mean my 2313 01:37:33,890 --> 01:37:30,659 and on Twitter too I mean I mean my uh 2314 01:37:36,530 --> 01:37:33,900 you know my my reach is just plummeted 2315 01:37:38,330 --> 01:37:36,540 you know and um I 2316 01:37:41,030 --> 01:37:38,340 I don't know I guess it's just those 2317 01:37:43,189 --> 01:37:41,040 kooky algorithms and whatever but who 2318 01:37:45,649 --> 01:37:43,199 knows well you need to pay that 13.99 2319 01:37:47,270 --> 01:37:45,659 for that uh and that's the things like 2320 01:37:49,729 --> 01:37:47,280 you know I was telling that to my wife's 2321 01:37:53,750 --> 01:37:49,739 like you know I I think it I thought it 2322 01:37:56,030 --> 01:37:53,760 was so funny when um I I do think it's 2323 01:37:58,550 --> 01:37:56,040 funny I think it's hilarious watching 2324 01:38:00,890 --> 01:37:58,560 all the uh all the blue check mark crowd 2325 01:38:03,350 --> 01:38:00,900 the the way that they cried you know 2326 01:38:05,750 --> 01:38:03,360 about their blue check marks 2327 01:38:08,149 --> 01:38:05,760 that was hilarious you know and that's 2328 01:38:10,010 --> 01:38:08,159 cool but on the other hand I think 2329 01:38:12,649 --> 01:38:10,020 what's going on on Twitter is you know 2330 01:38:14,090 --> 01:38:12,659 everybody else you know it's like you're 2331 01:38:16,310 --> 01:38:14,100 you're you're 2332 01:38:18,410 --> 01:38:16,320 um your reach is being throttled you 2333 01:38:20,270 --> 01:38:18,420 know to try to encourage you to uh you 2334 01:38:23,149 --> 01:38:20,280 know subscribe to Twitter blue and I'm 2335 01:38:26,030 --> 01:38:23,159 not I am not paying for Twitter I mean 2336 01:38:28,490 --> 01:38:26,040 you can put a freaking gun to my head I 2337 01:38:30,709 --> 01:38:28,500 will not ever pay for Twitter I will 2338 01:38:33,770 --> 01:38:30,719 never pay for Facebook I'm just not 2339 01:38:36,229 --> 01:38:33,780 doing it and you can throttle my reach 2340 01:38:38,930 --> 01:38:36,239 all you want but I'm I'm just not doing 2341 01:38:41,450 --> 01:38:38,940 it it's not gonna happen I got to say 2342 01:38:44,689 --> 01:38:41,460 like you know in my 2343 01:38:48,350 --> 01:38:44,699 um like in my field like all I've paid 2344 01:38:49,970 --> 01:38:48,360 for I'm gonna admit it I've paid for 2345 01:38:53,570 --> 01:38:49,980 LinkedIn gold 2346 01:38:56,149 --> 01:38:53,580 or LinkedIn premium because I don't I 2347 01:38:58,070 --> 01:38:56,159 don't even know why but it's different 2348 01:39:00,410 --> 01:38:58,080 than Twitter oh no because you don't 2349 01:39:03,110 --> 01:39:00,420 really need it like I could I could full 2350 01:39:05,270 --> 01:39:03,120 on I have enough uh like I have enough 2351 01:39:06,649 --> 01:39:05,280 followers that I I qualify for the I 2352 01:39:07,970 --> 01:39:06,659 could live stream on LinkedIn which is 2353 01:39:09,350 --> 01:39:07,980 like this big 2354 01:39:10,970 --> 01:39:09,360 like oh my goodness you you can live 2355 01:39:12,470 --> 01:39:10,980 stream like yeah I can live stream of 2356 01:39:15,590 --> 01:39:12,480 you know a couple groups and that's 2357 01:39:17,270 --> 01:39:15,600 that's you know that's great but like 2358 01:39:18,350 --> 01:39:17,280 for them it's a business but look if you 2359 01:39:20,149 --> 01:39:18,360 notice for any of these groups they 2360 01:39:21,770 --> 01:39:20,159 always have their bank accounts in 2361 01:39:24,530 --> 01:39:21,780 Ireland because they don't pay any 2362 01:39:27,350 --> 01:39:24,540 attention so I'm like just sitting there 2363 01:39:28,790 --> 01:39:27,360 going like 98 like I thought I got the 2364 01:39:30,410 --> 01:39:28,800 discount you said I got the discount now 2365 01:39:33,169 --> 01:39:30,420 it's like only it's only for one month 2366 01:39:36,169 --> 01:39:33,179 like well you know forget that noise 2367 01:39:39,050 --> 01:39:36,179 like no I'm done 2368 01:39:40,250 --> 01:39:39,060 um and like like that's that's the weird 2369 01:39:43,370 --> 01:39:40,260 thing about social media because like 2370 01:39:48,169 --> 01:39:43,380 it's it's so different now even to then 2371 01:39:52,790 --> 01:39:48,179 uh where like the app changes randomly I 2372 01:39:57,290 --> 01:39:55,430 I think at one point there was a small 2373 01:40:00,709 --> 01:39:57,300 like a day or two where they were 2374 01:40:02,810 --> 01:40:00,719 testing out uh the chat being integrated 2375 01:40:04,250 --> 01:40:02,820 back into the App instead of having a 2376 01:40:07,010 --> 01:40:04,260 separate messenger 2377 01:40:09,229 --> 01:40:07,020 and I'm like oh my God it's back like I 2378 01:40:13,550 --> 01:40:09,239 haven't seen this since I sideloaded 2379 01:40:15,169 --> 01:40:13,560 Facebook onto my my Blackberry 10. you 2380 01:40:17,750 --> 01:40:15,179 know like I was hoping they'd bring this 2381 01:40:20,390 --> 01:40:17,760 back and they're like oh no it went away 2382 01:40:22,490 --> 01:40:20,400 like okay it's back to messenger uh it's 2383 01:40:24,770 --> 01:40:22,500 fine like I don't 2384 01:40:26,510 --> 01:40:24,780 whether it's it's you know maybe it's 2385 01:40:28,129 --> 01:40:26,520 something that also will go extinct 2386 01:40:29,570 --> 01:40:28,139 maybe it's going to be around for a long 2387 01:40:30,350 --> 01:40:29,580 time 2388 01:40:32,450 --> 01:40:30,360 um 2389 01:40:35,270 --> 01:40:32,460 and I'm William I am going to get your 2390 01:40:39,169 --> 01:40:35,280 question so you know you did ask it a 2391 01:40:43,330 --> 01:40:40,850 what about 2392 01:40:46,970 --> 01:40:43,340 non-water 2393 01:40:49,430 --> 01:40:46,980 terrestrial dinosaurs because that is 2394 01:40:51,530 --> 01:40:49,440 because we got about 20 minutes left so 2395 01:40:53,930 --> 01:40:51,540 I want to make sure we can yeah we can 2396 01:40:55,970 --> 01:40:53,940 cover this yeah I'm a big believer in 2397 01:40:57,530 --> 01:40:55,980 the possibility of that I mean if you 2398 01:41:00,590 --> 01:40:57,540 look at um 2399 01:41:02,689 --> 01:41:00,600 because you live in maquila and bimbe in 2400 01:41:05,209 --> 01:41:02,699 Africa you know you look at some of your 2401 01:41:07,669 --> 01:41:05,219 uh South American 2402 01:41:10,729 --> 01:41:07,679 um you know reports uh you know it just 2403 01:41:12,530 --> 01:41:10,739 uh it certainly seems uh plausible to me 2404 01:41:14,629 --> 01:41:12,540 you know um 2405 01:41:16,850 --> 01:41:14,639 uh you know I 2406 01:41:18,530 --> 01:41:16,860 we had talked about in some of my books 2407 01:41:22,129 --> 01:41:18,540 like when uh oh you have a new one 2408 01:41:23,750 --> 01:41:22,139 coming out and yeah yeah I've actually 2409 01:41:26,090 --> 01:41:23,760 got one coming out it's it's actually 2410 01:41:28,910 --> 01:41:26,100 called living dinosaurs and I get into 2411 01:41:33,050 --> 01:41:28,920 this um you know quite a bit more and 2412 01:41:35,450 --> 01:41:33,060 you know I'm not saying that you know if 2413 01:41:38,090 --> 01:41:35,460 you go out in Amazon it's like Jurassic 2414 01:41:39,830 --> 01:41:38,100 Park and there's T-Rex is gonna eat you 2415 01:41:43,010 --> 01:41:39,840 and all that stuff I'm just saying that 2416 01:41:46,550 --> 01:41:43,020 there could be a few you know stragglers 2417 01:41:48,890 --> 01:41:46,560 you know out there based on well you 2418 01:41:51,470 --> 01:41:48,900 know based on you know some of the uh 2419 01:41:53,450 --> 01:41:51,480 strange reports you get 2420 01:41:56,629 --> 01:41:53,460 and also like we were we were talking 2421 01:41:59,689 --> 01:41:56,639 earlier you know I'm not sure 2422 01:42:02,629 --> 01:41:59,699 I'm not sure our Extinction timelines 2423 01:42:05,530 --> 01:42:02,639 are quite correct I mean I I don't think 2424 01:42:09,229 --> 01:42:05,540 that dinosaurs 2425 01:42:13,030 --> 01:42:09,239 necessarily had to have gone extinct 65 2426 01:42:17,450 --> 01:42:13,040 million years ago if you you know I 2427 01:42:19,070 --> 01:42:17,460 subscribe to a catastrophist 2428 01:42:21,649 --> 01:42:19,080 um point of view you know I think 2429 01:42:24,410 --> 01:42:21,659 catastrophe ladies yeah however you say 2430 01:42:27,530 --> 01:42:24,420 these you know cataclysms pole shifts 2431 01:42:30,770 --> 01:42:27,540 you know Common impacts you know I think 2432 01:42:33,590 --> 01:42:30,780 that these things reset the clock on and 2433 01:42:36,229 --> 01:42:33,600 and you know some of our dating is 2434 01:42:37,790 --> 01:42:36,239 probably not correct and so if you're if 2435 01:42:40,010 --> 01:42:37,800 you're able to kind of look at things 2436 01:42:42,490 --> 01:42:40,020 through that lens 2437 01:42:46,729 --> 01:42:42,500 you know you don't have this 2438 01:42:49,430 --> 01:42:46,739 65 million years hurdle to overcome and 2439 01:42:52,370 --> 01:42:49,440 and moreover 2440 01:42:56,030 --> 01:42:52,380 you know I'm not a scientist right but 2441 01:43:00,109 --> 01:42:56,040 you know I I'm I I do know that we have 2442 01:43:02,689 --> 01:43:00,119 never found a complete dinosaur skeleton 2443 01:43:04,910 --> 01:43:02,699 you know um stegosauruses I think 2444 01:43:08,870 --> 01:43:04,920 they've only found like 80 samples of 2445 01:43:10,850 --> 01:43:08,880 those half of that for T-rex's so I just 2446 01:43:13,729 --> 01:43:10,860 don't think in the first place we even 2447 01:43:16,129 --> 01:43:13,739 know as much about dinosaurs as we think 2448 01:43:18,830 --> 01:43:16,139 we do because everything is just you 2449 01:43:21,109 --> 01:43:18,840 know based on fossils and and a lot of 2450 01:43:24,770 --> 01:43:21,119 times I think some of those dates might 2451 01:43:27,770 --> 01:43:24,780 even be faulty so I think it is entirely 2452 01:43:30,709 --> 01:43:27,780 possible that there's um you know some 2453 01:43:33,649 --> 01:43:30,719 small populations of dinosaurs in you 2454 01:43:35,930 --> 01:43:33,659 know Africa South America probably you 2455 01:43:37,689 --> 01:43:35,940 know places like Papua New Guinea you 2456 01:43:40,310 --> 01:43:37,699 know some of those real 2457 01:43:43,129 --> 01:43:40,320 impenetrable places I mean 2458 01:43:46,070 --> 01:43:43,139 you know I've visited the uh 2459 01:43:49,490 --> 01:43:46,080 um a Preserve in in the Amazon back in 2460 01:43:52,669 --> 01:43:49,500 in 2016 and I mean it was uh it was a 2461 01:43:55,189 --> 01:43:52,679 damn four hour boat ride I mean there's 2462 01:43:58,430 --> 01:43:55,199 there's a four-hour boat ride it's just 2463 01:44:01,250 --> 01:43:58,440 crazy how isolated and everything it is 2464 01:44:02,090 --> 01:44:01,260 and uh I I decided then and there I'm 2465 01:44:03,649 --> 01:44:02,100 not gonna 2466 01:44:05,930 --> 01:44:03,659 I'm not going to rule out the 2467 01:44:08,570 --> 01:44:05,940 possibility of anything when you're in a 2468 01:44:11,030 --> 01:44:08,580 place that's that's that remote 2469 01:44:13,970 --> 01:44:11,040 I mean anything could be there I mean we 2470 01:44:16,490 --> 01:44:13,980 just don't know as much as as we think 2471 01:44:20,030 --> 01:44:16,500 we do about you know our our planet 2472 01:44:23,450 --> 01:44:20,040 about our our past uh you know that's 2473 01:44:27,169 --> 01:44:23,460 just my take on it where are we as a 2474 01:44:29,570 --> 01:44:27,179 society have our heads in our phones a 2475 01:44:30,950 --> 01:44:29,580 lot we don't we've stopped looking up at 2476 01:44:32,390 --> 01:44:30,960 the sky we're looking more at the ground 2477 01:44:35,390 --> 01:44:32,400 when we're looking at our phones we 2478 01:44:38,149 --> 01:44:35,400 don't pay attention to the world like we 2479 01:44:40,450 --> 01:44:38,159 used to uh we're so busy we don't we 2480 01:44:44,030 --> 01:44:40,460 just don't have the the capacity 2481 01:44:45,709 --> 01:44:44,040 advertising is and messaging is brand 2482 01:44:48,770 --> 01:44:45,719 branding is being bombarding us on a 2483 01:44:52,010 --> 01:44:48,780 constant basis which is making it more 2484 01:44:54,169 --> 01:44:52,020 difficult to to you know cut through the 2485 01:44:55,910 --> 01:44:54,179 noise to be able to see the force for 2486 01:44:59,330 --> 01:44:55,920 the tour the trees in the forest we'll 2487 01:45:02,810 --> 01:44:59,340 we'll use that metaphor uh I would say 2488 01:45:04,970 --> 01:45:02,820 that yeah like yeah 100 we don't 2489 01:45:06,830 --> 01:45:04,980 we don't know everything we don't know 2490 01:45:11,030 --> 01:45:06,840 everything about 2491 01:45:13,209 --> 01:45:11,040 right now uh 2492 01:45:16,370 --> 01:45:13,219 you can't necessarily even compare 2493 01:45:18,189 --> 01:45:16,380 things like you know well is you like 2494 01:45:20,689 --> 01:45:18,199 you mentioned wolves are being 2495 01:45:23,090 --> 01:45:20,699 reintroduced into the California 2496 01:45:25,609 --> 01:45:23,100 population uh or at least in in you know 2497 01:45:26,930 --> 01:45:25,619 the American uh the American West and 2498 01:45:29,990 --> 01:45:26,940 they've tracked 2499 01:45:32,149 --> 01:45:30,000 the migration down from you know 2500 01:45:36,350 --> 01:45:32,159 Washington Oregon all the way down into 2501 01:45:38,930 --> 01:45:36,360 to uh the middle of of California but 2502 01:45:41,270 --> 01:45:38,940 you're talking about animals that hunt 2503 01:45:43,450 --> 01:45:41,280 other animals for food you know those 2504 01:45:46,129 --> 01:45:43,460 those animals that are food they migrate 2505 01:45:48,169 --> 01:45:46,139 and most the time you don't even know 2506 01:45:51,050 --> 01:45:48,179 that they're there like 2507 01:45:55,129 --> 01:45:51,060 we have an extent like even here in in 2508 01:45:57,830 --> 01:45:55,139 Western Ottawa which uh that's 2509 01:46:02,629 --> 01:45:57,840 to give everyone an island it's about an 2510 01:46:06,410 --> 01:46:02,639 hour and a half drive at 70 miles south 2511 01:46:08,750 --> 01:46:06,420 west of Montreal which is about four or 2512 01:46:11,209 --> 01:46:08,760 five hours due south of New York City so 2513 01:46:12,830 --> 01:46:11,219 you can do that triangulation uh and our 2514 01:46:16,609 --> 01:46:12,840 city is huge like it's it's 2515 01:46:20,229 --> 01:46:16,619 predominantly a a hybrid Urban and 2516 01:46:23,689 --> 01:46:20,239 suburban and rural area 2517 01:46:27,649 --> 01:46:23,699 and the coyote population is massive 2518 01:46:29,450 --> 01:46:27,659 it's massive and in our area it's a very 2519 01:46:30,350 --> 01:46:29,460 very old neighborhood 2520 01:46:32,870 --> 01:46:30,360 um 2521 01:46:34,970 --> 01:46:32,880 fairly dense as far as neighborhood like 2522 01:46:36,770 --> 01:46:34,980 this would be like not crammed together 2523 01:46:38,149 --> 01:46:36,780 like they are being built now but you 2524 01:46:39,950 --> 01:46:38,159 know this was a pretty high density 2525 01:46:42,890 --> 01:46:39,960 neighborhood way back and when it was 2526 01:46:45,350 --> 01:46:42,900 built in the late 70s early 80s and the 2527 01:46:48,370 --> 01:46:45,360 way that it's laid out we can still see 2528 01:46:50,330 --> 01:46:48,380 coyotes in the area 2529 01:46:51,950 --> 01:46:50,340 depending on the time of year you may 2530 01:46:54,350 --> 01:46:51,960 not see them like just because they're 2531 01:46:56,149 --> 01:46:54,360 so used to avoiding humans they're so 2532 01:46:58,010 --> 01:46:56,159 used to try and not being seen because 2533 01:46:59,149 --> 01:46:58,020 either hunting the pets or they're 2534 01:47:01,790 --> 01:46:59,159 trying to make sure that they're not 2535 01:47:04,490 --> 01:47:01,800 going to get you know not get in danger 2536 01:47:07,070 --> 01:47:04,500 from uh from from the humans around them 2537 01:47:09,350 --> 01:47:07,080 and like we're talking you know running 2538 01:47:12,350 --> 01:47:09,360 through playgrounds through school yards 2539 01:47:14,750 --> 01:47:12,360 they're they're in in family 2540 01:47:16,250 --> 01:47:14,760 neighborhoods with young kids and this 2541 01:47:19,490 --> 01:47:16,260 is their natural habitat we've just 2542 01:47:21,229 --> 01:47:19,500 encroached into in on it uh but like a 2543 01:47:22,250 --> 01:47:21,239 lot of times we don't see tracks now if 2544 01:47:23,750 --> 01:47:22,260 you're not a Tracker you don't know what 2545 01:47:25,669 --> 01:47:23,760 they are they're not leaving a lot of 2546 01:47:27,709 --> 01:47:25,679 fur the only way that we know that 2547 01:47:30,490 --> 01:47:27,719 they're there is because there's so many 2548 01:47:33,229 --> 01:47:30,500 of them because there's so many of us 2549 01:47:35,570 --> 01:47:33,239 and you know they're they're moving 2550 01:47:38,270 --> 01:47:35,580 around on a constant basis if you're 2551 01:47:41,450 --> 01:47:38,280 talking about tracks of land in 2552 01:47:43,490 --> 01:47:41,460 California or you know the Midwest the 2553 01:47:45,950 --> 01:47:43,500 United States is the third or fourth 2554 01:47:48,830 --> 01:47:45,960 like it's it's you know uh 2555 01:47:50,570 --> 01:47:48,840 Russia Canada China and the United 2556 01:47:54,770 --> 01:47:50,580 States and then Australia those like the 2557 01:47:57,229 --> 01:47:54,780 the topic five singular countries and 2558 01:47:59,990 --> 01:47:57,239 that's that's a massive landmass how 2559 01:48:03,050 --> 01:48:00,000 long does it take you to drive from one 2560 01:48:04,790 --> 01:48:03,060 end of the U.S to another and in that 2561 01:48:07,910 --> 01:48:04,800 time 2562 01:48:09,649 --> 01:48:07,920 when what is the longest point where you 2563 01:48:12,770 --> 01:48:09,659 don't actually see anything or another 2564 01:48:15,290 --> 01:48:12,780 car or you know another store a gas 2565 01:48:16,430 --> 01:48:15,300 station you're talking like hundreds and 2566 01:48:18,890 --> 01:48:16,440 hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of 2567 01:48:21,950 --> 01:48:18,900 miles where you're only through that 2568 01:48:24,229 --> 01:48:21,960 section for 10 20 minutes you may be one 2569 01:48:26,689 --> 01:48:24,239 of only one person every couple of hours 2570 01:48:28,010 --> 01:48:26,699 who makes that trip how is it you can 2571 01:48:29,229 --> 01:48:28,020 make the determination if there is 2572 01:48:31,490 --> 01:48:29,239 something there that you don't know 2573 01:48:33,410 --> 01:48:31,500 there are species that we are still 2574 01:48:35,689 --> 01:48:33,420 finding there are species that we 2575 01:48:38,330 --> 01:48:35,699 thought that are extinct that we are 2576 01:48:40,550 --> 01:48:38,340 still finding so yeah like if you you 2577 01:48:43,370 --> 01:48:40,560 take a continent the size of Africa 2578 01:48:45,590 --> 01:48:43,380 which we don't even know and can't 2579 01:48:47,570 --> 01:48:45,600 conceive how big it is because our 2580 01:48:50,450 --> 01:48:47,580 entire frame of reference is built 2581 01:48:52,910 --> 01:48:50,460 around the Mercator uh projection which 2582 01:48:57,109 --> 01:48:52,920 makes it look smaller than Greenland 2583 01:49:00,830 --> 01:48:57,119 I'm like I'm sorry like African big huge 2584 01:49:02,209 --> 01:49:00,840 it's huge yeah it's like they're like 2585 01:49:03,470 --> 01:49:02,219 what are some of the reports of 2586 01:49:05,209 --> 01:49:03,480 dinosaurs Coming Out of Africa 2587 01:49:06,470 --> 01:49:05,219 especially around you know like Congo 2588 01:49:08,510 --> 01:49:06,480 because I know I know I've heard there's 2589 01:49:10,970 --> 01:49:08,520 some crazy stories out there yeah well 2590 01:49:14,930 --> 01:49:10,980 in in the Congo there's uh you know 2591 01:49:17,270 --> 01:49:14,940 supposedly a sauropod dinosaur it's uh 2592 01:49:19,790 --> 01:49:17,280 it's got a name mokille and bimbe is 2593 01:49:23,149 --> 01:49:19,800 what they call it I mean uh well I guess 2594 01:49:23,990 --> 01:49:23,159 it's got variant names too but there's 2595 01:49:26,570 --> 01:49:24,000 um 2596 01:49:28,310 --> 01:49:26,580 I mean there's been reports of that I 2597 01:49:31,850 --> 01:49:28,320 mean since um 2598 01:49:34,070 --> 01:49:31,860 gosh since the earliest days of uh you 2599 01:49:36,709 --> 01:49:34,080 know French missionaries in in the area 2600 01:49:40,189 --> 01:49:36,719 spoke of these you know enormous uh 2601 01:49:42,430 --> 01:49:40,199 reptilian tracks and um you know those 2602 01:49:46,850 --> 01:49:42,440 stories uh 2603 01:49:49,729 --> 01:49:46,860 even to this day of people spotting you 2604 01:49:54,709 --> 01:49:49,739 know like like a small dinosaur there's 2605 01:49:57,229 --> 01:49:54,719 uh there's also been reports that um 2606 01:50:00,050 --> 01:49:57,239 you know sound a lot like you know what 2607 01:50:02,330 --> 01:50:00,060 you think of of a stegosaur there you 2608 01:50:05,629 --> 01:50:02,340 know where uh they say that there's this 2609 01:50:09,410 --> 01:50:05,639 large reptile-like creature with planks 2610 01:50:13,250 --> 01:50:09,420 growing out of its back you know um 2611 01:50:16,629 --> 01:50:13,260 there's other reports that uh 2612 01:50:19,729 --> 01:50:16,639 sound a lot like uh you know like a 2613 01:50:22,609 --> 01:50:19,739 Triceratops uh you know from there I 2614 01:50:24,790 --> 01:50:22,619 mean who knows maybe those could you 2615 01:50:27,169 --> 01:50:24,800 know it could just be some kind of uh 2616 01:50:29,030 --> 01:50:27,179 rhinoceros or something we don't know 2617 01:50:31,729 --> 01:50:29,040 about but you know if there's a species 2618 01:50:33,590 --> 01:50:31,739 of rhinoceros that we don't know about I 2619 01:50:36,070 --> 01:50:33,600 mean that's pretty cool too right I mean 2620 01:50:37,970 --> 01:50:36,080 that that's no less um 2621 01:50:40,010 --> 01:50:37,980 incredible 2622 01:50:42,350 --> 01:50:40,020 um you know is my point and there 2623 01:50:46,030 --> 01:50:42,360 there's a lot of those type of stories 2624 01:50:49,250 --> 01:50:46,040 in in South America you know and um 2625 01:50:51,229 --> 01:50:49,260 back in the back in the old days like uh 2626 01:50:53,930 --> 01:50:51,239 you know when the rubber trade was going 2627 01:50:56,270 --> 01:50:53,940 on and and people were you know pushing 2628 01:50:58,129 --> 01:50:56,280 way into the interior 2629 01:51:00,890 --> 01:50:58,139 you know there were these Tales coming 2630 01:51:03,050 --> 01:51:00,900 out of you know just sound I mean they 2631 01:51:05,570 --> 01:51:03,060 just fit the description of you know 2632 01:51:08,390 --> 01:51:05,580 like small dinosaurs and by small 2633 01:51:12,350 --> 01:51:08,400 dinosaurs I'm talking you know 18 20 2634 01:51:15,530 --> 01:51:12,360 feet long uh not quite what you'd see on 2635 01:51:17,870 --> 01:51:15,540 the Jurassic Park movies but uh you know 2636 01:51:19,430 --> 01:51:17,880 bigger than a reptile you should you 2637 01:51:23,270 --> 01:51:19,440 would think you would be seeing you know 2638 01:51:24,950 --> 01:51:23,280 I'm up here the largest bird like like 2639 01:51:27,950 --> 01:51:24,960 we're starting to get like even up here 2640 01:51:31,189 --> 01:51:27,960 in in Ottawa we're starting to get uh a 2641 01:51:33,709 --> 01:51:31,199 lot of bald eagle nesting which is great 2642 01:51:34,850 --> 01:51:33,719 and they're Majestic and you know you're 2643 01:51:36,890 --> 01:51:34,860 up at the college and you see like this 2644 01:51:38,629 --> 01:51:36,900 bald eagle you know it's just sitting up 2645 01:51:40,490 --> 01:51:38,639 there and you see this other small bird 2646 01:51:43,030 --> 01:51:40,500 just dive bombing it constantly trying 2647 01:51:45,530 --> 01:51:43,040 to get it away from its nest 2648 01:51:46,609 --> 01:51:45,540 kids are in the water you're like grab 2649 01:51:50,689 --> 01:51:46,619 the kids 2650 01:51:52,490 --> 01:51:50,699 make sure it's safe I know in in and and 2651 01:51:55,189 --> 01:51:52,500 if you if you don't get a picture of it 2652 01:51:57,169 --> 01:51:55,199 most people be like oh you know like oh 2653 01:51:58,669 --> 01:51:57,179 yeah right sure oh yeah there's there's 2654 01:52:01,010 --> 01:51:58,679 not they're like no well now there's oh 2655 01:52:02,209 --> 01:52:01,020 it's just a Hulk yeah like no I know 2656 01:52:04,729 --> 01:52:02,219 what a hawk looks like I know what a 2657 01:52:06,350 --> 01:52:04,739 turkey vulture looks like he has a hawk 2658 01:52:07,850 --> 01:52:06,360 fly straight turkey vulture looks a 2659 01:52:10,490 --> 01:52:07,860 little bit uneven if it's doing this 2660 01:52:12,350 --> 01:52:10,500 it's probably a turkey vulture uh like 2661 01:52:15,649 --> 01:52:12,360 in Africa there I know there are reports 2662 01:52:19,550 --> 01:52:15,659 of like winged dinosaur like huge either 2663 01:52:21,050 --> 01:52:19,560 it's a giant bird or some type of you 2664 01:52:23,590 --> 01:52:21,060 know prehistoric because like the 2665 01:52:26,870 --> 01:52:23,600 report's coming out of there are are 2666 01:52:29,750 --> 01:52:26,880 we're talking you know I think the the 2667 01:52:32,030 --> 01:52:29,760 1800s 1850s when they first started 2668 01:52:33,890 --> 01:52:32,040 pushing into the interior 2669 01:52:37,129 --> 01:52:33,900 um like the reports are coming out that 2670 01:52:39,890 --> 01:52:37,139 they were having sightings of these 2671 01:52:41,990 --> 01:52:39,900 massive you know like massive leathered 2672 01:52:44,870 --> 01:52:42,000 winged Rangers 2673 01:52:46,669 --> 01:52:44,880 yeah I mean for for lack of a better 2674 01:52:48,530 --> 01:52:46,679 description I mean it sounds like you 2675 01:52:50,510 --> 01:52:48,540 know what you think of with pterosaurs 2676 01:52:53,270 --> 01:52:50,520 you know Coming Out of Africa a lot of 2677 01:52:56,149 --> 01:52:53,280 your real good reports I mean a lot of 2678 01:52:58,729 --> 01:52:56,159 them come out of like Papua New Guinea I 2679 01:53:01,910 --> 01:52:58,739 mean tons of them down there 2680 01:53:03,830 --> 01:53:01,920 and you know you just think of uh like 2681 01:53:05,990 --> 01:53:03,840 these places you know like how remote 2682 01:53:07,850 --> 01:53:06,000 they are and I mean I just can't think 2683 01:53:09,530 --> 01:53:07,860 of a good reason 2684 01:53:12,169 --> 01:53:09,540 you know why something like that 2685 01:53:14,570 --> 01:53:12,179 couldn't exist I mean and I think the 2686 01:53:19,609 --> 01:53:14,580 you know the main reason that people are 2687 01:53:23,570 --> 01:53:19,619 are so hesitant is just that you know we 2688 01:53:25,570 --> 01:53:23,580 know dinosaurs went extinct 65 million 2689 01:53:28,790 --> 01:53:25,580 years ago 2690 01:53:31,609 --> 01:53:28,800 and you know it's just we're just so 2691 01:53:33,709 --> 01:53:31,619 conditioned you know to to just outright 2692 01:53:35,750 --> 01:53:33,719 reject anything that that that's 2693 01:53:38,689 --> 01:53:35,760 contrary to you know what we've had 2694 01:53:40,189 --> 01:53:38,699 pounded into our heads you know since I 2695 01:53:42,050 --> 01:53:40,199 mean gosh I mean since we were little 2696 01:53:43,970 --> 01:53:42,060 kids really 2697 01:53:47,149 --> 01:53:43,980 and you know I just think that that's 2698 01:53:50,390 --> 01:53:47,159 why uh why people reject it I mean I I 2699 01:53:54,430 --> 01:53:50,400 think there's really a lot of credible 2700 01:53:57,290 --> 01:53:54,440 credible reports I mean 2701 01:53:59,990 --> 01:53:57,300 evidence-wise I mean like you know I 2702 01:54:01,370 --> 01:54:00,000 mean if it's just a small number of 2703 01:54:03,410 --> 01:54:01,380 these things I mean it's I mean it's 2704 01:54:06,770 --> 01:54:03,420 really the proverbial needle in the 2705 01:54:08,570 --> 01:54:06,780 haystack I mean there's there if you 2706 01:54:10,669 --> 01:54:08,580 could prove they exist right I mean 2707 01:54:12,950 --> 01:54:10,679 they're they're probably critically 2708 01:54:17,570 --> 01:54:12,960 critically endangered so there's 2709 01:54:19,930 --> 01:54:17,580 couldn't be many of them and it it it's 2710 01:54:23,510 --> 01:54:19,940 really would be tough to to 2711 01:54:27,290 --> 01:54:23,520 improve scientifically good enough you 2712 01:54:29,990 --> 01:54:27,300 know to show me the body criteria it's 2713 01:54:31,609 --> 01:54:30,000 almost impossible and especially since 2714 01:54:33,470 --> 01:54:31,619 everybody looking for these I mean 2715 01:54:35,390 --> 01:54:33,480 they're you know you're doing it on your 2716 01:54:38,149 --> 01:54:35,400 own dime it's it's you know it's not 2717 01:54:41,629 --> 01:54:38,159 like you can just go to the grant store 2718 01:54:44,149 --> 01:54:41,639 and and get some money to you know to to 2719 01:54:46,129 --> 01:54:44,159 spend years looking for these things you 2720 01:54:47,629 --> 01:54:46,139 know I guess if they you got a store for 2721 01:54:50,030 --> 01:54:47,639 that I got some beans to sell you and 2722 01:54:52,490 --> 01:54:50,040 then we can go find some Giants 2723 01:54:54,830 --> 01:54:52,500 um you know and I'm I'm not saying you 2724 01:54:56,810 --> 01:54:54,840 know like if if you know if you're the 2725 01:54:58,910 --> 01:54:56,820 the colleges or you know the government 2726 01:55:02,270 --> 01:54:58,920 I mean I get it you know you're gonna 2727 01:55:05,629 --> 01:55:02,280 hand out the money to you know the other 2728 01:55:08,090 --> 01:55:05,639 stuff I I totally get it I'm not I'm not 2729 01:55:10,850 --> 01:55:08,100 criticizing a lack of Interest or a lack 2730 01:55:13,729 --> 01:55:10,860 of funding I mean you know but um the 2731 01:55:18,470 --> 01:55:13,739 you know the point being it's just a um 2732 01:55:21,109 --> 01:55:18,480 it would a remarkable challenge to um to 2733 01:55:23,930 --> 01:55:21,119 try to even get enough evidence to drum 2734 01:55:25,790 --> 01:55:23,940 up enough interest like to get some 2735 01:55:27,649 --> 01:55:25,800 funding you know what I'm saying if that 2736 01:55:28,729 --> 01:55:27,659 makes sense I remember there was one 2737 01:55:31,629 --> 01:55:28,739 show 2738 01:55:34,490 --> 01:55:31,639 um I forget exactly what year it was 2739 01:55:36,590 --> 01:55:34,500 there was a production company that was 2740 01:55:39,709 --> 01:55:36,600 going around to 2741 01:55:42,169 --> 01:55:39,719 various like personalities and somehow 2742 01:55:44,510 --> 01:55:42,179 they decided to approach me and said hey 2743 01:55:46,910 --> 01:55:44,520 we're shooting this show that's kind of 2744 01:55:50,149 --> 01:55:46,920 like the Dragon's Den but with 2745 01:55:52,790 --> 01:55:50,159 paranormal style situations so like 2746 01:55:55,910 --> 01:55:52,800 people who like oh you know I'm gonna 2747 01:55:58,189 --> 01:55:55,920 you know dig up this ocher island not 2748 01:55:59,689 --> 01:55:58,199 Oak Island and you know this is my plan 2749 01:56:01,010 --> 01:55:59,699 and then you know it's either say I'm 2750 01:56:02,750 --> 01:56:01,020 out or I'm in or you try and fund it 2751 01:56:04,010 --> 01:56:02,760 what have you and I'm like oh this 2752 01:56:06,350 --> 01:56:04,020 sounds interesting so I told them what I 2753 01:56:08,870 --> 01:56:06,360 was about I'm like 2754 01:56:10,129 --> 01:56:08,880 it's more of the we like the Mysteries 2755 01:56:12,350 --> 01:56:10,139 but we try and look at it from The 2756 01:56:14,090 --> 01:56:12,360 Logical side of things and yeah explain 2757 01:56:17,209 --> 01:56:14,100 the philosophies like yeah I don't this 2758 01:56:19,129 --> 01:56:17,219 isn't gonna work man yeah one of those 2759 01:56:23,570 --> 01:56:19,139 gosh like oh 2760 01:56:26,030 --> 01:56:23,580 two or three PVP to have contacted me 2761 01:56:27,590 --> 01:56:26,040 over the years and like the last one I 2762 01:56:31,669 --> 01:56:27,600 just kind of got sick of it I'm like 2763 01:56:34,189 --> 01:56:31,679 look I'm not interested in doing a show 2764 01:56:36,169 --> 01:56:34,199 like where I go out in the woods in the 2765 01:56:39,050 --> 01:56:36,179 middle of the night and I don't know 2766 01:56:41,510 --> 01:56:39,060 what was that did you hear that I'm just 2767 01:56:43,370 --> 01:56:41,520 not interested in that stupid [\h__\h] 2768 01:56:45,770 --> 01:56:43,380 or you know there's enough of that 2769 01:56:48,709 --> 01:56:45,780 there's you know the Market's flooded 2770 01:56:50,570 --> 01:56:48,719 with that stuff it's stupid it's not 2771 01:56:52,669 --> 01:56:50,580 interesting and I just I'm just not 2772 01:56:55,430 --> 01:56:52,679 interested in it and then they kind of 2773 01:56:57,950 --> 01:56:55,440 left me alone after that 2774 01:56:59,930 --> 01:56:57,960 uh it's I I would have I would have 2775 01:57:01,609 --> 01:56:59,940 killed to have seen that actually it's 2776 01:57:04,669 --> 01:57:01,619 like what was that it's like I'm sorry 2777 01:57:08,149 --> 01:57:04,679 it's just a bag yeah I'm just you know I 2778 01:57:10,310 --> 01:57:08,159 mean like like for one I mean I I think 2779 01:57:12,669 --> 01:57:10,320 a lot of these shows that that film 2780 01:57:15,830 --> 01:57:12,679 their stuff at night I mean it's it's 2781 01:57:17,330 --> 01:57:15,840 just for it's just for reality I think 2782 01:57:19,910 --> 01:57:17,340 all your Bigfoot shows I think the 2783 01:57:22,310 --> 01:57:19,920 reason that they started doing it was 2784 01:57:24,830 --> 01:57:22,320 because of the um all of the ghost 2785 01:57:27,490 --> 01:57:24,840 hunting shows that kind of proceeded 2786 01:57:29,750 --> 01:57:27,500 those you know 2787 01:57:32,510 --> 01:57:29,760 the ghost hunting shows they would do 2788 01:57:34,570 --> 01:57:32,520 their investigations at night and you 2789 01:57:36,950 --> 01:57:34,580 know you don't really need to do ghost 2790 01:57:38,450 --> 01:57:36,960 investigations at night I mean it works 2791 01:57:40,970 --> 01:57:38,460 in the daytime too 2792 01:57:42,290 --> 01:57:40,980 but you know as far as Bigfoot goes I 2793 01:57:44,570 --> 01:57:42,300 mean a lot of people think it's 2794 01:57:48,050 --> 01:57:44,580 nocturnal but I mean 2795 01:57:50,030 --> 01:57:48,060 you know even even if it does mostly 2796 01:57:53,570 --> 01:57:50,040 move at night I mean 2797 01:57:56,810 --> 01:57:53,580 like once you shine your flashlight 2798 01:57:58,729 --> 01:57:56,820 you can forget about finding anything I 2799 01:58:00,950 --> 01:57:58,739 mean serious and you got all this camera 2800 01:58:02,270 --> 01:58:00,960 equipment people stumbling around in the 2801 01:58:04,430 --> 01:58:02,280 woods where 2802 01:58:07,129 --> 01:58:04,440 you know you're making all this noise I 2803 01:58:08,870 --> 01:58:07,139 mean you know to me the best way is to 2804 01:58:11,089 --> 01:58:08,880 you know just kind of slip in in the 2805 01:58:13,550 --> 01:58:11,099 daytime where you can see but that 2806 01:58:14,870 --> 01:58:13,560 doesn't make for you know just just kind 2807 01:58:16,669 --> 01:58:14,880 of walking around in the woods and 2808 01:58:18,589 --> 01:58:16,679 looking for signs that that doesn't 2809 01:58:21,770 --> 01:58:18,599 really make for a good television though 2810 01:58:23,450 --> 01:58:21,780 oh and that I find books tend to provide 2811 01:58:24,950 --> 01:58:23,460 a much better way to pass the time 2812 01:58:27,050 --> 01:58:24,960 that's better for the brain you know 2813 01:58:28,129 --> 01:58:27,060 it's yeah we got to read more books or 2814 01:58:29,750 --> 01:58:28,139 at least if you're not going to read 2815 01:58:33,290 --> 01:58:29,760 more books 2816 01:58:37,330 --> 01:58:33,300 you know read more PDFs on your phone of 2817 01:58:39,830 --> 01:58:37,340 books or you know 2857 02:00:23,750 --> 02:00:21,840 happened shortly after yours which was 2858 02:00:26,709 --> 02:00:23,760 Ross Hamilton 2859 02:00:30,950 --> 02:00:26,719 oh he's coming back he's coming back 2860 02:00:32,870 --> 02:00:30,960 I gotta Ross is one of the re nobody he 2861 02:00:34,609 --> 02:00:32,880 was one of the reasons why 2862 02:00:36,410 --> 02:00:34,619 I started the show back up because like 2863 02:00:38,030 --> 02:00:36,420 Ross 2864 02:00:40,729 --> 02:00:38,040 several months back or maybe it was like 2865 02:00:45,010 --> 02:00:40,739 within the last year and he texts me out 2866 02:00:48,709 --> 02:00:45,020 of the blue and he's like Chris like yes 2867 02:00:51,109 --> 02:00:48,719 yes Mr Hamilton how are you doing how's 2868 02:00:54,649 --> 02:00:51,119 everybody how you know like how are you 2869 02:00:57,410 --> 02:00:54,659 holding up and he's like okay like 2870 02:01:00,010 --> 02:00:57,420 are you still doing the show and I'm 2871 02:01:03,669 --> 02:01:02,570 like no 2872 02:01:07,850 --> 02:01:03,679 um 2873 02:01:10,390 --> 02:01:07,860 I'm thinking about it now because that 2874 02:01:14,930 --> 02:01:10,400 was probably one of the funnest times 2875 02:01:18,050 --> 02:01:14,940 like like Alex and I were we sat there 2876 02:01:21,050 --> 02:01:18,060 and this was back in the old days when I 2877 02:01:22,970 --> 02:01:21,060 did not have kids I was don't think I 2878 02:01:24,950 --> 02:01:22,980 was married at the time and you know 2879 02:01:29,570 --> 02:01:24,960 Alex and I would go through 26 or Glenn 2880 02:01:35,709 --> 02:01:33,229 and our mind was absolutely blown 2881 02:01:38,510 --> 02:01:35,719 I don't know what what is 2882 02:01:42,169 --> 02:01:38,520 we'll wait and see ladies and gentlemen 2883 02:01:44,390 2886 02:01:51,229 --> 02:01:49,320 in for that it's gonna be fantastic I 2887 02:01:53,270 --> 02:01:51,239 don't have ouch let me give you a quick 2888 02:01:55,910 --> 02:01:53,280 suggestion too if you want to do a good 2889 02:01:58,430 --> 02:01:55,920 one of the most fun shows you did back 2890 02:02:00,830 --> 02:01:58,440 in the old days I'm not going to say his 2891 02:02:05,629 --> 02:02:00,840 name you know but uh remember the 2892 02:02:11,209 --> 02:02:08,990 the one yes that we were like all 2893 02:02:13,189 --> 02:02:11,219 killing in the chat you had a couple 2894 02:02:14,390 --> 02:02:13,199 water pump guys but you know who I'm 2895 02:02:16,430 --> 02:02:14,400 talking I know who I'm talking about 2896 02:02:18,350 --> 02:02:16,440 because he was being like real combative 2897 02:02:21,470 --> 02:02:18,360 with you and in the chat we were just 2898 02:02:23,270 --> 02:02:21,480 like crushing him that was so fun well 2899 02:02:25,310 --> 02:02:23,280 okay the thing is like there there's an 2900 02:02:27,530 --> 02:02:25,320 entire and one of the reasons behind 2901 02:02:29,330 --> 02:02:27,540 that for anybody who wants to listen is 2902 02:02:32,870 --> 02:02:29,340 um it's not that I have a victim complex 2903 02:02:36,169 --> 02:02:32,880 I have not even a persecution complex I 2904 02:02:37,810 --> 02:02:36,179 do not like people who are blatantly 2905 02:02:41,510 --> 02:02:37,820 unethical 2906 02:02:43,430 --> 02:02:41,520 or I guess you know like if 2907 02:02:45,290 --> 02:02:43,440 scam artists people who take advantage 2908 02:02:46,850 --> 02:02:45,300 of other people knowingly unknowingly 2909 02:02:48,229 --> 02:02:46,860 whether it's individuals large groups 2910 02:02:51,050 --> 02:02:48,239 it's it's like it's like not cool like 2911 02:02:53,689 --> 02:02:51,060 keep it above board don't be you know 2912 02:02:55,910 --> 02:02:53,699 like don't be a skeeze don't steal from 2913 02:02:57,770 --> 02:02:55,920 people don't outright lie or cheat 2914 02:03:00,169 --> 02:02:57,780 people it was just the way that I was 2915 02:03:04,729 --> 02:03:00,179 raised and and I try and hold that out 2916 02:03:05,570 --> 02:03:04,739 right and the individual in question 2917 02:03:08,689 --> 02:03:05,580 um 2918 02:03:11,510 --> 02:03:08,699 from what I had been told from the 2919 02:03:13,609 --> 02:03:11,520 people who were victims of it 2920 02:03:16,129 --> 02:03:13,619 it's like basically essentially there 2921 02:03:19,070 --> 02:03:16,139 was some uh theft of either intellectual 2922 02:03:20,810 --> 02:03:19,080 property rights or monetary rights 2923 02:03:23,149 --> 02:03:20,820 through either I forget the exact 2924 02:03:25,669 --> 02:03:23,159 situation but it was like he was selling 2925 02:03:27,169 --> 02:03:25,679 the book of somebody else as his own or 2926 02:03:28,370 --> 02:03:27,179 is selling the book and just Paul that 2927 02:03:30,169 --> 02:03:28,380 who was somebody else's and just 2928 02:03:33,350 --> 02:03:30,179 pocketing the money 2929 02:03:37,790 --> 02:03:33,360 um and again there's the whole uh um you 2930 02:03:40,149 --> 02:03:37,800 know his outright bad meaning of a 2931 02:03:42,470 --> 02:03:40,159 certain other friend of the show and 2932 02:03:43,970 --> 02:03:42,480 basically it just it just got to the 2933 02:03:46,850 --> 02:03:43,980 point where he would like pop up in 2934 02:03:49,189 --> 02:03:46,860 conversations and I would just just go 2935 02:03:51,050 --> 02:03:49,199 to town on him and like I would get 2936 02:03:52,850 --> 02:03:51,060 somebody else who'd be coming out of the 2937 02:03:54,890 --> 02:03:52,860 show a good friend of the show uh John 2938 02:03:56,089 --> 02:03:54,900 Cadman it's like he was just going like 2939 02:03:58,070 --> 02:03:56,099 we were talking about the water pump and 2940 02:03:59,689 --> 02:03:58,080 he'd have his theory I'm like and I 2941 02:04:01,550 --> 02:03:59,699 would just completely destroy him with 2942 02:04:04,189 --> 02:04:01,560 logic and he'd be like well that doesn't 2943 02:04:06,050 --> 02:04:04,199 make any sense I'm like well let's talk 2944 02:04:08,089 --> 02:04:06,060 to the expert I'd like tag John cabin 2945 02:04:10,310 --> 02:04:08,099 he'd come in and just continue on and 2946 02:04:11,570 --> 02:04:10,320 you know it's hours of entertainment my 2947 02:04:15,109 --> 02:04:11,580 wife's just sitting there going like are 2948 02:04:18,649 --> 02:04:15,119 are you winning yet son you know like 2949 02:04:20,570 --> 02:04:18,659 and it's it's it was good fun times but 2950 02:04:21,770 --> 02:04:20,580 you really like I'm just like nowadays 2951 02:04:23,930 --> 02:04:21,780 like I don't know the time I don't have 2952 02:04:26,990 --> 02:04:23,940 the patience I don't have the effort and 2953 02:04:28,609 --> 02:04:27,000 if I look back like if I had not done 2954 02:04:30,109 --> 02:04:28,619 that kind of thing back then because 2955 02:04:32,629 --> 02:04:30,119 social media 2956 02:04:34,910 --> 02:04:32,639 it's it's very divisive it's meant to 2957 02:04:37,270 --> 02:04:34,920 put you into a pressure cooker with the 2958 02:04:41,089 --> 02:04:37,280 most opposite opposing ideas as possible 2959 02:04:42,350 --> 02:04:41,099 and then it's it gets you engaged and 2960 02:04:43,729 --> 02:04:42,360 the whole purpose of it is that you're 2961 02:04:46,070 --> 02:04:43,739 just going to keep scrolling through and 2962 02:04:48,589 --> 02:04:46,080 keep seeing that right so 2963 02:04:50,629 --> 02:04:48,599 I'm like which is great for my industry 2964 02:04:51,890 --> 02:04:50,639 because of like hey that's that's what I 2965 02:04:55,750 --> 02:04:51,900 do 2966 02:05:00,890 --> 02:04:55,760 but I could like cure cancer or you know 2967 02:05:02,689 --> 02:05:00,900 invented a new Netflix I could have what 2968 02:05:04,790 --> 02:05:02,699 could I have done with that time 2969 02:05:06,350 --> 02:05:04,800 probably done more shows done more 2970 02:05:08,990 --> 02:05:06,360 content done more you know whatever 2971 02:05:11,649 --> 02:05:09,000 instead of acting 2972 02:05:15,290 --> 02:05:11,659 I digress the long story of it is 2973 02:05:18,609 --> 02:05:15,300 hilarious times I still look back at 2974 02:05:23,209 --> 02:05:21,470 maybe for the Hunters episode that would 2975 02:05:27,109 --> 02:05:23,219 be a fun rematch 2976 02:05:30,050 --> 02:05:27,119 oh oh God that's this we could yeah we 2977 02:05:32,450 --> 02:05:30,060 could do like a roast or something when 2978 02:05:35,990 --> 02:05:32,460 I'm still figuring out the upper like 2979 02:05:38,270 --> 02:05:36,000 the the patreon uh considering 2980 02:05:40,850 --> 02:05:38,280 the people who have been supporting for 2981 02:05:43,070 --> 02:05:40,860 a very long time and and uh you know 2982 02:05:45,169 --> 02:05:43,080 Ellen our old Den mother who is watching 2983 02:05:48,530 --> 02:05:45,179 the show again and she's uh supporting 2984 02:05:52,030 --> 02:05:48,540 we or you're still on patreon I I it's 2985 02:05:55,550 --> 02:05:52,040 still there so you can go check that out 2986 02:05:58,310 --> 02:05:55,560 the old episodes at some point in audio 2987 02:05:59,810 --> 02:05:58,320 and video format I'm going to release 2988 02:06:04,910 --> 02:05:59,820 that 2989 02:06:08,390 --> 02:06:07,010 the tone is drastically different you 2990 02:06:11,450 --> 02:06:08,400 can tell the shift at one point or 2991 02:06:14,149 --> 02:06:11,460 another as far as when I'm just like wow 2992 02:06:16,850 --> 02:06:14,159 this was the most amazing thing ever 2993 02:06:19,370 --> 02:06:16,860 we're gonna find Atlantis to 2994 02:06:20,330 --> 02:06:19,380 my never meet your Heroes I'll put it 2995 02:06:21,410 --> 02:06:20,340 that way especially when it comes to 2996 02:06:22,629 --> 02:06:21,420 apology 2997 02:06:28,490 --> 02:06:22,639 yeah 2998 02:06:30,290 --> 02:06:28,500 this total shift and it you know there's 2999 02:06:32,209 --> 02:06:30,300 things that you don't necessarily want 3000 02:06:33,950 --> 02:06:32,219 to be seen unless you the people like I 3001 02:06:36,530 --> 02:06:33,960 really got to see this and sometimes 3002 02:06:37,910 --> 02:06:36,540 it's entertaining I get it well I'm it's 3003 02:06:39,370 --> 02:06:46,189 --> 02:06:44,340 to what we're saying like 3007 02:06:48,470 --> 02:06:46,199 nowadays you just got as long as you 3008 02:06:51,530 --> 02:06:48,480 keep it fun you know you're going 02:07:07,739 attitude now the effort is not there 3015 02:07:12,229 --> 02:07:10,320 like but being able to reconnect like 3016 02:07:15,589 --> 02:07:12,239 reconnect with old friends 3017
